Great video man. I'm still tossing up between the Lux and the Lux Trail - but I think I'll lean towards the Trail, just for a bit more freedom in terms of riding options. Did you consider the standard Lux?
I did consider the lux, the weight wasn’t a huge difference and that extra freedom is really nice, and for the kind of xc racing I do it is perfect, but also a fun weekend rider and training bike
@@yoadriaaannn Thanks. I am WAAYY overdue for a new MTB. I still ride a 2011 Trek Fuel EX 8 26" wheels. Currently looking at Gen 6 Fuel EX 8 aluminum fram for over $4000! This Canyon bike with Carbon Frame and DT Swiss wheels, is an absolute deal
Yea, the engagement isn’t the best, it’s definitely not terrible though, I think the only reason it bothers me is because I have I9’s on my other bike and switching back and forth I can for sure tell a decent difference
@superfatcat32 I chose the lux because the trails around me are a little more technical that classic xc trails, while many people race pure xc bikes there are a lot of us who like to have that little bit more travel, it helps a lot in the downhills and technical uphills, plus for everyday riding and training that little extra travel allows for more fun.
For me, the best review of this bike on youtube, it looks you know, what you are saying, keep up good work!
Thanks! Considering this bike and appreciate the sizing discussion.
Love these kind of reviews! Cracks me up, yeah, I broken a few fingers here and there, but lol
Great review. You answered my sizing question. On the fence regarding the 2 color options, cape Red, or the grey.
Yea the size is weird on them, I think both colors look good, can’t go wrong

yea absolute steal that why I bought it, it rides amazing
The rear hub only has 18 points of engagement, right? That seems really low to me.

Does anyone know the bottom bracket height on this bike?
Curious if you considered the Lux World Cup? And why you went with 120m travel for racing xc?
