I love the drapes. I especially love when they hang from the ceiling. Your room is looking lovely.
Yes, you need a gap between the wall and the flooring for expansion. We used quarter round (I believe that's what it's called) to hide the gap between the baseboard and flooring. Our home is so old and the baseboard would have probably been ruined if we tried to remove it for the flooring. Just a thought.
No, April is right. You have to take the baseboard off and take a 1/4" gab between the wall and the floor for expandability.
Wow, the bedroom looks amazing. Can’t wait to see it all finished. Glad you got your 3-D printer and Ender, will have fun with that and the girls sure had fun going boating, and so cute to see little Daisy and Zade.

You need more panels according to what my mother taught me you’re supposed to buy double the size of your window so that there’s enough that there’s no gaps they lay really nice etc. etc. but they are beautiful. I really like them and I love how high youinstalled them.

Use a bar of soap on the rod helps with a smoother closure

You guys should paint the fireplace white cause it’s an off white rn and doesn’t match the wall
If you have the ability to trim the baseboard, that would keep you from having to remove the baseboard. You can lay the plank on the subfloor up against the baseboard to see how much needs to be trimmed off.
