“Please note, there is no longer a smoking section in the cafeteria. All smoking is restricted to designated smoking terraces on the fifth floor”
“I’m not here.”
Definitely appropriate for the era. That's when smoking 🚭 in a lot of public places was being banned. Funnyvlooking back at it now
Thank goodness the CIA didn't believe in hallway lighting.
They did. It's just that the lights are implied to have been disabled by the Masse kernels cyberattack.
Probably one of the best missions in the game. God I miss it a lot - the best games back then.
Facts
This was the hardest mission in my opinion.
It was difficult in a different way than the later ones for me the levels after Kalinatek proved to be the most challenging. This level has one of my favorite atmospheres for sure though
It's hard because you could not kill anyone, and a lot of CIA employees, cameras ect...
I hate Abbatoir
It’s actually a pretty easy level as long as you know exactly where you’re going. I think it’s the console version of Splinter Cell that frustrated a lot of people because there’s no quick save feature. So the game on console wasn’t very forgiving if you sounded too many alarms, or if you died.
@@TheMonkeyThatDoesYourJobBetter yeah if you watch the patrol patterns you can always find a way round. Hardest part was the server room with the lit up hallway where you just had to chance it
LAMBERT- Time to get to work, Fisher. Let me reiterate: we cannot afford any casualties. The NSA doesn’t operate in the U.S. We don’t spy on other agencies.
FISHER- I’m not here.
LAMBERT- That’s right. You’ve lost existence privileges until the mission’s over. We’ve synced a timer on your OPSAT to a pause in the ventilation system fans, you’ll have a limited window of opportunity to use it for insertion.
All those guards with shotguns ...
And bulletproof cameras...
Splinter Cell, Syphon Filter, Nightmare Creatures and Dino Crisis need to make a comeback.
In all my times playing this level I never found a good solution for that darn battery backup room.
Follow first dude into the back room and tuck yourself into the dark spot between the support of the upper gantry and the racks. 8/10 times they don't see you. When the second dude is down the second hallway get in there and split jump, or wait for him to be busy with the shelf in the back room again and crouch run out. Too much noise for them to hear.
Also there's a way to split jump onto the first row of batteries and jump across to the door that I saw a speed runner do.
You spilled coffee
Somebody's gonna have to clean that up...
the most epic mission from splinter cell 1. the cia hq is HUGE.
Greatest game ever
this track is my favorite track from splinter cell
yeah it gives me the chills i like the police station one and pandora tommorow
Jerusalem on PT is amazing too.
This franchise needs a serious reboot back to its roots. If only Sony could get the rights and let one of their developers take some time to crank one out. Ubisoft is practically trash now.
lol why sony? afaik sony has never been involved in the development of any splinter cell game
skew They throw money at their first party developers and give them time to fully complete their games. It's why they dominate the xbox.
Ironic since the xbox ports of the earlier games seemed more complete than the playstation
i wish they could make games like splinter cell and hitman again, i so miss the 2002-2005 years
@@Gencturk92 Yeah, those were great years for gaming. But, we do have the newer Hitman games, (1 and 2) and they are awesome if I'm honest.
Thank you sir!
We need more games like splinter cell, Not open world!
Nothing wrong with exploration
they dont make them like no more
Exactly! As much i like the first 3 Sc, i preferred an open world instead of the old wacky mission based. In open world I can do and go wherever I want, such as Rp, and do something fun with my own imagination, mission based game u cant do that cause everything is scripted to the point that i recognise enemy moving pattern it's so boring and wack. And yes, i want an open world Sc so I can rp with my own imagination and my own world setting. That's why i like ghostrecon breakpoint cause in that game i can literally Rp as 4th echelon agent in that game and the cqc animation were fantastic although i like to play ghost style stealth without hud while listening to original Sc ost it's really immersive. @silentassassin47
Typing an essay to this playlist rn, it's perfect for it.
Walking around in the Pentagon 17 some years after having played this mission really made me realize Santa isn’t real.
This was one of the coolest missions in the game but damn it was one of the hardest too. The fact that you couldn't kill anyone made this shit crazy hard 😭
Lambert: I’ve sent you Dorothy’s file is 508. Sam: what do I with Dorothy?. Lambert: stay out of his way for now will get back when we find more on him
Dougherty, you mean.
@@michaelandreipalon359 yup
Nostalgic asf
"...arrogance of a nation, that still believes there is such a thing as a moral superpower"
CIA Security Guard: "Are you gonna be staying at the hospital? You mean when she wakes up... Listen, thanks for coming in. I know the last thing you want to be doing in a time like this is answering questions.... We couldn't assume it was a coincidence... Thanks for your understanding. Let me know if there's anything we can do."
I swear the same music was used in RE4, anyone else hear it??
have noticed this
"can you catch me?"
i love this level as a Canadian i loved the CIA i love the United States
I appreciate you like the US (A strange sentiment for a canadian lol) But fuck the cia, the nsa, and the fbi.
@@NRGpony this game was so ahead of its time, its brilliant game even to this day
Heh, no need to crawl the vents when there's a better entrance on the roof.
I pity the delivery driver in the beginning though. Believe me, our Islamophobia at the time sure is still one of our biggest shames.
This must start playing when you get to the top floor?
Actually, it plays relatively early. If you don't go through the vent at the start of the level and choose to climb up the pipe at the building entrance, through the vent, and into the lobby, this song will play.
The "bell tinkles" at 1:52 are from the Resident Evil 4 soundtrack🤔
@blackchamber007 Can you tell me what song?

It occurs multiple times - the first time you can hear it is at 0:25
@BlackChamber007 but splinter cell 1 came out before resident evil 4
@@yacine9809 They both use the same sound library, hence the same bell tinkles.
in same time blacklist is easy play, than in 1 part. interesting
this and chinese lvl very hard for me, i leaves a playing it.
