Awesome tips i'll be doing all of these, got the sting in the mail right now can't wait
Love to hear it! Enjoy!
Thanks for sharing valuable info, 🙂👍
workarounds and improvements through your experiences.
I always enjoy visiting your channel.
Smashing it!!!
Zip ties are a great idea. Waiting on the mx4 so this is helpful, thanks
Zip ties and duct tape. All you need 😂 hope you enjoy it!
Just fixed my brake cable, worked great!
awesome, happy to hear it!
Love the videos man! Ordered mine about two weeks ago but will only get it end of june. Super excited to give this thing a shot compared to a regulars DB. If possible would you be able to walk thru for all the sensors that you took out such as the brake, tilt sensors etc.. Thanks for all the set up tricks/tips Helps with New E riders
It’s so much fun! You’re going to love it. I don’t think the mx bike is getting touched much this summer 😂 and thank you
Great video and ideas. I'm going to use the zip tie mod for the front brake cable guide.
Appreciate the feedback! 👍🏽
Nice vid man😀
Thank you 🙌🏽
HOT TIPS" CHEERS!
Thanks 🤙🏽
Tire pressure recommendations and chain slack or lack of, best for me to learn.
Thanks again for all your riding wisdom. I'm so late to the riding game, better late than neverh
Looking forward to all your vids. I'm searching for a "ghost pedal" kit. Cuz our So. Cal cops are saying Bike must propel by pedals, thinking a 10ft test is proof enough. Any thoughts?
What do you mean by 10ft test? I'm unfamiliar with the pedal kits... But thank you, I'm glad these videos are at least helping someone! If I get nervous around police I just do my own imaginary "ghost pedals" lol
@@freerfixedit Our Sheriffs near Newberry Park, CA have been ambushing riders
halfway to Malibu or vice versa making riders "walk " their Sur-Ronnie type e bikes out if your pedals can not propel the bike forward, no matter how ridiculous or meaningless the pedals are. Yes officer I can pedal, 10 ft. test. So thanks again for your content. Will be watching.
@@tommcgill1671 sounds like they are more strict over there, understandably so cause there is a lot more of these bikes out west. But I don’t care how many times I get stopped, I’m not putting a pedal kit on this bike. But so far so good, I’ve had no issues. I think if you use it to commute, be respectful, and obey the laws of the road, they shouldn’t mess with you. Gotta give em a reason to pull you over
Awesome videos man, Thanks for all the information, when rerouting the brake cable, do I just pull back the little rubber covering and unscrew the cable from the lever and screw it back in after rerouting it? new to this, and I’m not sure if there is a more complicated process.
NO! Don’t unscrew any cables. Just the 2 5mm Allen’s that hold the caliper on, then just move the entire caliper so the cable is inside. Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate you! 🤙🏽
@@freerfixedit thanks man! Totally saved me, happy I asked, haha, 🤙
Good to see a fellow moto guy with yt content. Most of these soy boy reviewers are not relatable to a moto guy. Simple question if I were to buy something straight out of the gate in the 5k price range what's my best option? Thanks
Thanks man! It depends on what you want to do with it and what size bike you want. The R stock has been a lot of fun to commute around town on and use as a pitter. I’m going to take it to a pit bike race in July and see how it does. But the bigger better bike for off road is probably the ultra bee. But it’s a bit over 5K pretty sure
Ok so the Talaria isn't a Surron killer? I'll be riding it like a dirt bike with some occasional road rides. But I'm hard on stuff so I'm sure we're similar.
@@TroyCollier kills the light bee by surron. The bigger ultra bee surron is better suited for off-road, but costs a lot more. The sting r is plenty capable off road as well. Just mentioned the ultra bee cause it’s a larger option for taller/bigger people
@@freerfixedit Yeah I'm a vet guy 220lbs. Thanks man!
@@freerfixedit the ultra Bee is more like a dirt bike. I'm looking for something light and fast
Awesome video, do you have to cut a wire on this one like the Surrons to get the full power?
Thank you! Yes, it’s a green looping wire on surrons!
@@freerfixedit is it the same wire on these?
@@CX5EFWE it’s a brown wire on talaria, green wire on surron. There’s a bunch of videos on CZcams about it and showing where it’s located on either bike
@@freerfixedit thank you 👍
@@CX5EFWE no problem! 🤙🏽
What footpegs did you go with? A lot seems overpriced. I did order the JFG RACING Sur Ron Handlebar you suggested.
I haven’t found a decent set of pegs that fit yet. I’m hunting for the right dirt bike pegs that fit. I had to modify some crf pegs to fit. I read on a forum that rmz 2010-2016 pegs fit but I have not tried. But I agree. Over priced
Is there plenty of length in the cables to raise the bars up say 4 or 5”?
I didn’t have an issue with this setup. The stem was 30mm rise and the bars were 3”. It’s in the recent new Amazon mods video
what is a tip censor that you took off behind the controller?
It’s a little box with a ball in it. If the bike tips over it tells the bike to stop the power. And throws an error code. Then you just gotta turn the key on and off to clear it once the bike is upright again. Nice safety feature for kids or inexperienced riders
have you noticed rattling close to the swing arm
Every once in awhile, and I know its not the battery... Check out this video czcams.com/video/zmRkFcYdTwk/video.html&ab_channel=Blood%2CSweat%26Gears he goes over some areas it might be... I think its coming from the rear shock cause the stock bushings are not great @Blood, Sweat & Gears
Hey man I have a question. I bought the headlight/tailight duster switch. It comes with a 3 way connector for the head light but they left a lead wire for to without a quick connector long enough to go to the tailight. My question is where does this wire connect to lol. I'm not an electrician for a reason I guess. Anyways. thanks man.
I’m not sure, but when I put my little led under glow lights on, there was a long white wire that could hook up to the tail light, that would illuminate the leds red when braking. Not sure what it’s for in your case tho. Hope you get it figured out or just run the switch for the headlight it self
yeah I ordered a new ebike tail light from amazon since the stock unit was not too good. I gave up on that duster switch but I had ordered two switches including the halo switch and installed that instead. I will run with no tail light for a while I guess. Anyways....not a plug and play kit for the talaria.@@freerfixedit
Ok this is kinda unrelated to this video… but I am torn between talaria sting r and surron can’t decide. The factor for me is the weight. I am 5’7 and 120 lbs at 14yo. I want a fast but maneuverable bike which I feel both do but I’m worried I won’t be able to whip around the talaria as well as I would the sur ron. Especially for wheelies im worried I won’t be able to control the talaria as more because it weighs much more. I am willing to do upgrades over time. What do you think I should get??? Please and thank u.
I understand the concern, but I don’t think the weight difference is that big of a deal. Both bikes have plenty of power to whip you around, and to do wheelies. The talaria has a lot more torque out of the box, and is easier to wheelie. And once you start upgrading a surron, the weight gets pretty close between the 2 bikes. Hope that helped
@@evan_leche thanks a lot! Appreciate you!
im in california, im 5'10 130 lbs. just turned 14. is this bike legal here? if i drive it on a lower setting will it be fine? I dont want it to get impounded or stuff like that
Gotta check with your local laws on that! I’m not sure about California
I'm probably gonna run my front tire at 15 and the back one at 20 so i don't bend my rim if i land hard
Probably smart, I’ll probably end up doing that and stiffening the rear shock some when I start sending it over bigger jumps
If you hit a rock you would flat spot a rim or get a pinch flat if it's too low. But I don't own one this is just based on mtn bike logic.
@@TroyCollier yeah after some trial and error i ended up doing 25 on both tires
@@FreshRides Yup thats what I run in my mtn bike. You def don't want to roll a tire if your sending it. I've crashed a few times doing that landing whips a little sideways. Blew the tire off the rim once. 😂
when you took the brake sensors out by the brake reservoir did you put anything in its place ?
Nah I just left mine open. I guess you could thread a bolt into it if you wanted to seal it up
@@freerfixedit
Thanks !!!
@@freerfixedit
Thanks for your how too video, it sure helped me dial my bike in !
@@RacerRick12 so happy to hear it! Thanks for the feedback! 🤝
what’s the kickstand sensor
its by the left peg, screws into kickstand, just doesn't allow power when kickstand is down
please help me with cable management
How can I help?
Hey are you from florida?
nah I'm from NC, got some buddies in florida tho and make trips down there every year
Why do people take of the brake sensors and what does bypassing the start button do?
If you're an experienced rider, the brake sensors are just kind of annoying... they serve no function but to cut power to the motor when the brake is applied. theyll keep your buddy from whisky throttling your bike through the neighbors fence, but with wheelies and fine tuned brake/throttle theyre just annoying... bypassing the start button just made it to where I can turn the key and go, dont have to wait and hit start button anymore
@@freerfixedit ohhh thx for letting me know, now ik more for when i get my mx4👍👍
@@Jpisthename no problem, there’s also a sensor in the kickstand, and a tilt sensor behind the controller. Kickstand sensor won’t let the bike go if kickstand is down, tip sensor cuts power if the bike is laid over. I also removed these sensors, as I’ve seen a lot of people have error codes and stupid things happen with them.
@@freerfixedit thank you for the info🙏🙏
@@freerfixedit btw you should def take the talaria to the track again and race against others it was a rly fun video
ive got a stock surron motor if you want it ill sell it for $550 plus shipping ill also give you the controller with it
4:14 none of this is true by the way
