I I remember tuning into this live stream, it was my birthday! I had my headphones on and a fridge full of beer. It was a fucking brilliant brief escape from the reality we were living in at the time. Saw them play at Halifax Piece Hall the following year and cried my eyes out with happiness pretty much the whole entire time. What a fucking band!

It was my birthday when this was on the first time. We were in lockdown so I watched this with the wife and kids and got hammered on red wine. One of my favourite birthdays ever.

Fantastic show, cool to see them playing so many songs off of "Man's Needs..." - probably my favorite album of theirs (and one of my favorites of all time, so catchy and fun!), they sound fantastic. Curious, anyone know why they didn't play a single song off of their incredibly underrated album "Ignore the Ignorant" on here?
I'm guessing it's because without Jonny Marr it would be a bit difficult to play those songs in the same way they are intended to be heard, maybe?
Easily the best British band of the last 15 years. I'm Irish so Girl Band (Gilla Band) are the only band that comes close

I really regretted seeing these guys live at a festival. Not sure if they were drunk or drugged off their face but they were literally falling over on the stage - couldn't keep time. That was about 15 years ago and this is my first time listening to them again since then - dunno if it's still too soon
On drugs as well as drunk I highly doubt Ross Jarman was out of time. Sounds like with your overly critical mindset you might have to wait another 15 years before being able to appreciate live music
@@Ed-rv9ll I said on drugs OR drunk. It was pretty bad, a bunch of people including myself left during it. It's impressive you know what happened at a concert you most likely weren't at - maybe you can let me know what they were on seeing as you look to be on the same thing
@@user-xv2ir1qe9r Do you remember what year and what festival? I've seen them lots of times from 2010 onwards and they've never disappointed. But I know in their early shows (04-06) they would get extremely drunk and wild. Their motto at one point was "3 songs then off to casualty", which apparently literally happened about 6 times.
@@thegrinderman1090yeah it was at Oxegen music festival - think around 2008 - was quite a small area with a small crowd but that makes sense
