    I just had that done yesterday on my model X and I wonder what the guys were banging on. It was the trim, your video explains it. Thanks, very informative. Now I know why they charged so much.

    My thing about the Tesla, I noticed the door card/panel and gasket, can be an issue to where you are forced to hand cut the window (shifting the film further down to clear the gasket from the plot being not deep enough sometimes as well from Tesla inconsistencies.) Mostly, the top edge though. Some are smooth, but most are a little work. So, I just hand cut Tesla’s most of the time because of it. Plus, I know I cut the film to fit. The it’s never coming back feeling. Like older Subaru Outback’s with the frameless windows that have the tiny rubber tab you had to trim off to stop it from peeling the tint over time. I digg your work though. Salute fellow tinter!

    Did someone else catch what tint % the red/white Model Y was? At 22:34 it looks so clean. We have a red/white model Y and can't fully decide on %.

    Nice work!!! I tinted my way through college and don't miss it one bit ;) I still have nightmares of seeing a Honda Accord (90's) on the schedule and asking for the rear window in one piece.

    Get a separate plotter changing blades I didn’t think was bad. Once I got a dedicated ppf and tint plotter install time was cut In half 😮😂

      Literally makes no sense bro

    • @istvanhluz480
      @istvanhluz480 Před rokem

      @@willydmankal kinda thought it did. On a frameless window you can just drop the film on the glass and slide it down into the seal

    • @blackopstinting
      @blackopstinting Před rokem

      @@istvanhluz480 If you remove the seal you won't have to mess with it at all while installing. If you leave it in you would have to open it with a card or shank as you drop or you would have to push on the glass and you may have to overhang the top as you try to get passed the gasket. with no gasket you just drop right in no overhang no opening the gasket or pushing the window. Plus lowers the change of contamination or fingers

    • @istvanhluz480
      @istvanhluz480 Před rokem +2

      @@blackopstinting Thanks for the explanation! I have a shop in AR and bottom load everything but do not pull seals on frameless windows. I figured it was to make it easier but we don’t get many Tesla’s at all so was wondering if you have to on them. Thank you

    • @WindowTintWarriors
      @WindowTintWarriors  Před rokem

      We only do this on Teslas because the pressure against the bottom seal is much tighter compared to other vehicles.
      Doing so allows you to get the bottom edge sealed up nicely alleviating any chance for failure or contamination on the bottom edge.

    You don't have to remove the door panels at all and by the way it is not legal to put 5%% on the front wdws. In most states the darkest you can put on the front wdws is 30 or 35%. If you ever get suited for installing tints that are not legal you only can blame yourself knowing the tint laws. Just saying.

      It any business you have to understand your customers comes first. What a customer wants, is what they want knowing the consequences later. You can never say no to a customer when it comes to your business. Your business is what keeps you in business.
