- Meng Haoran (Chinese: 孟浩然; Wade-Giles: Meng Hao-jan; 689/691-740) was a major Tang dynasty poet, and a somewhat older contemporary of Wang Wei, Li Bai and Du Fu. Despite his brief pursuit of an official career, Meng Haoran mainly lived in and wrote about the area in which he was born and raised, in what is now Hubei province, China. Meng Haoran was a major influence on other contemporary and subsequent poets of the High Tang era because of his focus on nature as a main topic for poetry. Meng Haoran was also prominently featured in the Qing dynasty (and subsequently frequently republished) poetry anthology Three Hundred Tang Poems, having the fifth largest number of his poems included, for a total of fifteen, exceeded only by Du Fu, Li Bai, Wang Wei, and Li Shangyin. These poems of Meng Haoran were available in the English translations by Witter Bynner and Kiang Kanghu, by 1920, with the publication of The Jade Mountain. The Three Hundred Tang Poems also has two poems by Li Bai addressed to Meng Haoran, one in his praise and one written in farewell on the occasion of their parting company. Meng Haoran was also influential to Japanese poetry.

i love chinese font when i was childe .I used to draw Chinese symbols when I was young. I used to convey these symbols from my uncle's uncle who came with him from China when he was in China in 1982. I was 3 years old and when I grew up I was 5 years old. I was brought a paper and a pen line and sat in front of it and began to write and imitate these symbols

書寫得非常規整漂亮。筆的控制自如，結構也很扎實。丿的起勢稍有點過，全寫完後感覺可以考慮不要填滿每個格子，純漢字的書法作品整體中更注重字大小的平衡，比如“知”這樣結構簡單的字，寫得滿就會顯得突兀。

看似不错，细看还是怪怪的，有日本人写字的风格在里面，可能是写平假名的习惯，字体里有肉多骨少的感觉，不过还是佩服，写得胜过好多中国人，自愧不如！
附議，字形比較規整，結構也很好看，但幾乎每一筆都是頓筆重而收筆不果斷，造成筆畫圓而無鋒，組合在一起整個字都綿而無骨，工有餘而氣不足。
写到孟浩然的然字的时候。。。就彻底感觉不对了。
收笔没劲，撇和捺太圆了，必过写的很好哦，结构有点问题导致整体看起来不好，加油
而且看他有些字的筆劃順序，跟我們不一樣餒。

Lovely work as always! It looks like you did this based off traditional Chinese characters, however you used the simplified version 来 instead of the traditional version 來！🤣
But the fact is, 来 appeared a long time ago and it is not an invention by PRC but it was upgraded to "standard writing" in simplified Chinese.

@Ben Chen oh that's cool, was it the standard back in that specific time period? From what I understand written language was pretty standardized by that time. And when does 來 come into play as the traditional usage?
@@laurenliang7688 There are a lot of unorthodox variation characters (异体字，異体字). For example 门 was used many many hundreds of years ago before it became the simplified version of 門. Same goes for 头 and 頭.
