Man I love the Japanese scream... it's almost like a clean bestal roar that rises into a guttural struggling cry of pain but somehow still carrys the tones of overwhelming strength. It's amazing.
I think the french guy gave all he had in the speech before the scream and that exhausted him out in one take, he also mentioned breaking his voice during the recording so props to him.

His voice is way too childish like most French dubs. If you weren’t born speaking French like I am you can’t really perceive the accent pronouncing words like we do. Let me tell you it absolutely sucks compared to English and Japanese. Everyone has opinion I’m just sharing mine.

I love Zach as the English VA. Yes his lines feel weird sometimes but he does a good job at the role. In more intense scenes with extreme exhaustion like this the normal speaking lines sound weird but the scream was pretty good and his other lines are really good as well. He’s a great VA and I’m glad he’s the English Tanjiro
English dub for this show is honestly probably one of the best dubs out there Zach did a really good job with this scene and I feel like his voice acting just works the best for Tanjiro’s character, Tanjiro’s voice is just so calming when I hear it and when he’s angry it changes from that calm to a just straight up furious tone which is why I think its really good. I’ve seen a lot of characters that have calm voices being angry but it just doesn’t sound right but this definitely does. That is my opinion on the matter

Tanjiro is known for his kindness and he's a levelheaded teenager. I think Zach's voicing adds to his kindness and his age range; it suits him. The scream in English is actually more intense, but it's very uncomfortable to hear and it sounds like the guy is tearing his throat out. in Japanese it is a less loud scream but it is constant and we still feel the impact of the scene
I feel the French one is more realistic how he stops midway since Tanjiro had taken much damage in this battle so it is likely his body would breathe in again no matter &ow strong his conviction may be

The American one captures the pain, the agony that he is feeling, like a cry or scream of pain. The French is the best of both! Almost like a pained, agonized scream of sorts. French, I have never heard so much passion in a language I don’t understand, I thought Japanese was good but this shi was like a medival knight on the verge of certain death striking down a 3 headed hydra after all his comrades were brutally slain, prove me wrong. Japanese is Japanese it’s amazing always has been always will be and is so brutally grotesquely blood rushingly exceeding, when I first ever heard the Japanese version I was actually not ready for something like that and when the episode ended I felt my heart and I never thought an anime could actually do this to me, this is why I love demon slayer sub. The English voice actor was picked very well, I feel like this is what tanjiro should sound like if he spoke English. The scream is not as feral as the others but it’s more of a scream of terror anguish and the nonexistent choice to win or lose. If you hear a scream like this you know you’ve fucked up by not killing him sooner.
