Working in collaboration with top Belgium 3D pilot Tom De Weerdt, the Avios team has created in the V2, a model made BY 3D pilots, for 3D pilots. Improvements include a more powerful, out-of-the-box 4S set-up giving incredible sports aerobatics performance that's ideal for getting to grips with 3D maneuvers, and an option for a 5S set-up, delivering full-blown 3D power, control, and prowess with just the change of the ESC. The control surfaces have been refined over many hours of flying and tuning by Tom De Weerdt and the team, improving servo resolution and control. The airframe itself has been strengthened too, with a stronger/reinforced firewall design and tail wheel system, yet remains lightweight and rigid. And, most noticeably of all, the Avios Extra 330LX now sports a stunning new scheme, masterfully painted and with pre-applied decals that look impressive from any angle.
In-flight, the Extra 330LX V2 now tracks with great precision, rolls are axial and crisp, and on high throws the roll rate is phenomenal. There is next to no coupling in knife-edge, making it a perfect platform for classic/pattern flying. The out-of-the-box standard 4S set-up generates more than enough power for unlimited vertical performance, switch to high rates/3D throws and the 3D creature emerges! The stock set-up has ample power for most of the "low and slow" 3D maneuvers. With very little wing rock it's the perfect airplane to practice harriers, high alpha knife edge, hovering, and rolling circles, etc.
The "Plug N Fly" Extra is made of EPO foam and is big enough to provide a great presence in the air yet breaks down quickly for transport thanks to the 'click in' wing system. The new power set-up includes a more powerful 4248-600KV brushless outrunner with a lightweight 14x7 wood propeller and 60amp Aerostar ESC. Pre-installed 25g, metal-geared, digital high torque servos provide plenty of power and strength for the large control surfaces.
So if you are new to 3D flying or are an experienced 3D pilot looking for that quick 3D flying fix only PNF models can offer, then look no further than the new 1450mm Avios Extra 330LX V2.
Features:
• Lightweight aerobatic 3D sports plane in EPO foam
• "Plug N Fly" (PNF) format for optimum performance and quick build time
• V2 version has been refined over many hours of flying by Tom De Weerdt, and the Avios team
• Upgraded 4S power system, 3D power out-of-the-box
• Strengthened airframe, landing gear, and motor mount
• The fit and finish of components has been improved
• New striking color scheme
* Option to run 5S for full raw 3D performance, with no changes other than the ESC (70amp recommended)

Thanks again for the love and support Jeff!
V2 looks great, one for list 👍🏻
Hope you enjoy it!
A knife edge spin... dang...
This Extra by Avios looks top shelve all the way from the box to the 3d box, well done Team H-King, zoom zoom, Jeff in LA USA
Thank you Jeff, and we'll be bringing you even more pure 3D flying footage soon.
Awesome flying 3D Plane, although, I do like the slow graceful maneuvers much better than abrupt maneuvers. Excellent piloting. See you in the Air!
Thanks!!! I personally like the combination. Would love to get better at flying to music and then find songs with a lot of tempo-changes in them to switch between classic/gracefull and agressive moves...
Many thanks!
HobbyKing with Stuart and Tom! Let's not forget AVIOS!! Great testing of the new 330Lx G2. The 5s gives quite a boost in performance. AirHammer out!!
Thank you for the love and support!
Happy to see Stuart again
This one was all Tom, I was just set dressing ;) Stuart.
Toms the man! Sweet plane!
You made me blush 😎

Thank you Tom, very very nice flying, and Stuart for the commentary!
5S is a bit odd, 4S a lot more common. 6S is the way too go! ...
Thanks for sharing
Thank you for the kind words!
TOM! 👍🏻
ANDRÉ! ;)
ANDRE AND TOM!!!
Nice model just wish it wasn't so expensive! I recall version1 being a bit cheaper- better get saving!!
Unfortunately that's the world we live in these days. Costs go up, especially transport and the V1 was released over 3 years ago.
This is true of every industry and sadly unavoidable.
Great plane!
At the end of the video, what camera is used (to obtain the still horizon)?
Insta 360 go, just got it before this shoot, it's amazing what kind of software they were able to pack in such a tiny little thing!
Thanks for the answer. It makes stunning shots!
What a beautiful plane looks to handle great what is the price on the plane
Price and more details are on the links in the description
What camera was used on the plane, would be nice to have a good video after flying
An Insta 360 go, It's a combination of a good lens, solid software and sheer sorcery...
What camera is on the plane?
The Insta 360 go, got it right before this shoot, it's incredible what you can do with such a tiny camera. I think HK marketing dept might be ordering some soon :)
Could you not have just put the 70amp speedo in and so everyone had the option to do 4 or 5s without changing speedo, also have the elevator control rods been upgraded as they were a bit soft before
Yes that could have been possible but would have pushed the price point beyond a level we had set for this project. The is improvement in the control system.
Hey, HobbyKing when will the BushMule n Corsair be back in stock?? Gotta get me some, gotta get me some, gotta get me one! Gotta get me both!!!AirHammer out!!
Yes, they will be.
@@HobbyKingOfficial by chance, any idea when??
when are we going to get the durafly spitfire?
You'll see more V2's firm favorites returning to HK as we roll through 2021.
@@HobbyKingOfficial On Facebook, Stuart did say "mid March 2021"....so I'm hoping its soon....
@@pea2911 Stuart here, not sure that I did, but either way, as was mentioned above, more V2's are planned throughout 2021/22
. Stuart
Looking good except I would rather have a clear canopy and pilot..
Thanks for the feedback!
The pilot in the V1 was too small, a pilot in the right scale would have been heavier than we wanted, so we chose to paint the canopy instead. I like a nice scale pilot as well, in this case we went for performance...
It looks like Aviso has stepped up their game lately. Same colors as the BushMule V2. I don't know why some pilots have to rev the motor up and down while in a hover like this pilot. Maybe it comes from flying fuel planes. Myself and all the other 3d pilots at my field don't do that while in a hover.
Yes, I guess it’s down to personal preference, if I want to keep the throttle steady I really have to think about it...
I’m almost first...
