This instruction is an expansion of the Māori Hook Lashing technique (previously shown), and was inspired by the spectral lines of color that reveal themselves after light travels through a prism. If you’re not familiar with what I’m referring to, take a quick look at Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon album cover. Please Note: The use of Side Cutters can be replaced with Scissors, and the use of a Lacing Fid can be replaced with a Screwdriver or Butter Knife.

Your rock wrapping tutorials are WONDERFUL! So easy to follow and so clearly explained! Thank you SO MUCH! I've been going nuts making wrapped rocks and giving them away. My friends love them. Thanks for helping me spread some smiles in these uncertain times.

Yes, I'd like a rock wrapping book as well. The vids are great but I can't work on a project and watch the vid at the same time. It would be easier to have a book with the steps so I could follow along at my own pace ... thank you

Great to see you posting again, JD, and it's goid to hear your voice in the narration (which is more helpful than the "silent movie" tutorials I see all the time). Love the books too! I have a few of them now. I look forward to more of these videos.

Never thought of the rock and leather ... living on the shores of Lake Superior, I'll have to give it try.

Could you do some easier rock wraps? I can do three of yours, and those were fun, but the rest are really hard.
