I appreciate the review, but--no offence, this is just well-intentioned (hopefully) constructive criticism--as someone who's on the fence between G-forms and Ennuis, you didn't provide much information that was useful to me: only that that Ennuis offer more lateral protection and have a kevlar version. Nothing about comfort when wearing them, the differences in the technology used, whether the Ennui of the G-form's is more breathable or which silicone works best for keeping the knee pads in place, etc.
My suggestion (well-intentioned, once again) is to do a bit more research before postig a review. I hope you don't take this the wrong way :)
BTW, I liked the beard! Looks good and offers extra protection for your face ;) (although that moustache might act as a spring if you fall on your side hehe) ;)
I also wanted to see him wearing these and a least one slide on the ground on each one....
I have the Gform knee pads which i ordered online. after wearing them once, i dont like them. they move too much and at times, expose my knee. further more, there is not enough protection. the sides of my knee are still exposed and times i have fallen over, it still hurts. I am yet to find any knee pads that aren't too bulky, but still offer adequate protection.
@@yoyoz333 Hey man, just stumbled upon your comment and am currently on my own quest for an ideal knee protector that still leaves me with as much mobility as possible. Did you find something that worked for you? Would be curious to hear, thanks!
@@Mar-G_ no I haven't sorry. There are no local stores that sell these types of pads and I am reluctant to drop money again on sub-par products without trying them. If you ever get onto something that works for you, I'd like you to tag me and let me know. Cheers.
I agree 💯… I’ve been watching extensive videos and reading reviews and the consensus is that these don’t stay in place and a lot have complained about the stitching not holding up. For the price and protection I probably won’t take the chance. I really want to like these but for the price it’s not worth it for me. I’m looking for tailbone protection and G-form does make a compression short that I’m wondering if it’s worth trying. My skill level at this point is almost demanding quality tailbone protection. The triple 8 bum savers are bulky I don’t need the thigh padding because I don’t skate aggressively, but at this point I might have to try them as the only viable option. They make a slimmer model but just for women’s roller derby. That’s pretty much all I need is protection for my tailbone but I don’t mind the hip protection as long as it’s not too bulky.
Okay, I was travelling pretty fast on my FR1 310's and hit a patch of road where someone seemed to have scattered a handful of rocks, pebbles, whatever, brought me down fairly quick, wrists and knees got most of it, I always wear wrist pads, and I was wearing the G-form knee pads under my jeans, which I have to say protected my knees really well. Now, I didn't really slide much, but I did notice my right knee pad had moved around a bit on my knee, so, fair point, in a slide, they will move some.
The Ennui Pro would be a very good buy, the kevlar extra, slidey layer being the selling point, also the bigger protective area, my G-forms don't protect as much of my knee. However, G-forms are very comfortable, enough so that you forget you have them on. So, I like my G-forms, but if I'm ever considering buying new pads, I would definitely try the Ennui Pro. For me the choice would be about how comfortable they are while skating and how they fit under my jeans. If I wore shorts, which I don't really, the Ennui Pro would be a better choice. Thanks for the info Lino
1:40 "…and usually when powerslide works with foams, they work with my feet" 😂😂😂 linoo i loved your beard please let grow it back😱😱 btw was a pleasure meeting you, it was so cool with you!!
I have the Gforms with the extended shin protection. I love them. I think the thinner material on the back is possibly a good thing for those really hot days.
Starting up again at 34 knee gaskets are more important than ever haha my brain still thinks it can switch up on a rail but my body disagrees. I'm in the market for some so now I've got a good idea which ones to go for! Thanks for the video, great timing for me!
Love the stache!!! I own a pair of the gform knee pads this tech is awesome.. Great vs vid as usual my friend.
Woah! Looking sharp fella!
Thanks for your comparison Ricardo. I have used the G-form for a while (I already had them when I watched your vid) and yesterday I fell om my knee. I'll share what happened. On the fall it partially protected my knee because of less protective material (in comparison to the ennui), so I ended up with some scratch wounds. The knee pad itself was wasted: the protective material completely was torn off from the sleeve it was stitched on, so I can throw them away. So, you could say they are a bit expensive if you have to replace them after every fall. I've read this in other reviews as well. From your comparison it is clear to me that the ennui (the kevlar pro version) would have protected my fall much better, so I will buy those ones. Thanks!
Ricardo- diggin the new look!! Please, PLEASE, just once open w “It’s a ME! A Mariooo!” 🤣🤣
I was waiting for this info about all time i knew it))👍👍👍 thank you for this observe🤘💣
the shave got my like! lol also the explanation is pretty decent and understandable :) also i'm curious about the vert-performance of those protectors... is their some videos about a live test on vert?
Good informative video bro. Much appreciated I think I'll be buying a pair based on this review.
And ps. Your tash is a a beast. I love it lol X much love
Don’t listen to the haters. You look gorgeous with a beard Lino. Thanks for this video. I was considering getting some of these knee pads. After watching, think I’ll order the pro version.
The new mustache is dope man. LOLOLOLOLOL. Put up some skate vids with it. LINO is the truth.
Great video Ricardo, I am searching for protection now. I just bought a Ruroc Outrun RG1DX for skating and also got the shock pods so I can listen to music while I’m riding. Thanks for this insight. I’m just doing a bit of research to go with the best protection load outs.
Great mustache
Great video!😍
Damn Lino.. I liked the beard.. You ARE the beard.. The beard suits you.. Good thing is it grows back.
I totally missed most of the video, still stunned about the beard.. Don't ever listen to other ppl ha..
Cool informative video tho
Oh my god Lino i was tooooootally shocked at the start! Even your logo is the beard, it's your trademark! :O Couldn't watch the video normally
I will definitely let you sail my boat. You look like a Portuguese sailor now...
Thanks bro ! 🤞
So which of the two pads would you think is best for every day use? Thanks for the videos!
I had to watch it twice because the first time I was looking at this amazing moustache the whole time.
I'm a big user of slim knee pads. I currently have some 'rekd' kevlar pads which have been really good. The ennui kevlar ones look like a nice upgrade, although a little pricey.
Been wearing them for a year. Great product, can recommend.
OMG THE BEARD!!
Really helpful thank you! Do you have any opinion now that g form have released the x3 version?
I ride a OneWheel and i've taken multiple hard falls at slow speeds and at 20mph and the G-Forms have protected me 100% every single time. I cannot praise them enough. The same can't be said for knockoff pads... My wife was using the Triple 8 Exoskin pads and they would slide off her elbow/knees every single freaking time she fell. Another good thing is that you barely notice you're even wearing pads with the G-Forms and i'm 220 lbs.
lookin good brother,,,you look so much better without the beard,,,great review as well,,,
Just the video comparison I need to buy new pads. Thanks!!
Daaaaaaaamn, nice moustache Lino!
Hey Lino, thanks for the review! What do you think, do the Ennui Shocksleeve Pros compare to a midrange hard shell kneepad, for instance TSG All Terrain? I use the latter at the moment, but the flexibility of the Shocksleeve intrigues me. I am a novice park skater (ergo I fall a lot, also on my knees).
Holy cow, that's going to take some getting used to! Looks good though! You should grow out a musketeers-style little goatee to go with your rocking 'stache!
Vídeo muito bom, muito esclarecedor. Uma pena que o modelo da Ennui Pro não acha disponível no tamanho L/XL... Obrigado pela comparação Lino!
Love the new beard
The power of after effects!
Thumbs up for the mustache!
I love my G Forms.I can wear them under my compression pants without slippage, and they are very comfortable, once again great video.
Will they protect if you fall from bike at 20km/H on pavement?
@@alexmarks5219 Nope
Haha 🤣👍 Man i was stunned at the Moment you snapped your fingers, but my next thought was: He looks like he was born with this Thing. It suits you on the point man. The Beard is/was you of course but this Mustache is manifique 👌
Nice video bro! Next time make a beardpoll 🤪
Are these pads no longer in production? When i go to Ennui's site I can't find the exact model.
That moustache is glorious man.
Living in deep South Texas it's hot AF! So I like the thinner material Gform has and I always wear pants so no issue with stiffness when landing. I do like how the other brand looks and their coverage. Any suggestions on the best protection for wrists? I have a cheap pair from WM.
comfort wise what would you recommend for most comfy fit? im looking for a compression with that protective padding so i can have protection my knee is shot looking for an esk8 pads for summer along with exercising and walking my pup that tends to pull hard often!!
what would you recommend are the pro version uncomfortable compared to the cheaper enneui? thanks for your opinions i really appreciate it,

Random buffed guy from 1800s reviews modern knee protection, 2018 colorised
But for real thanks dude tbh
It would be very helpful if u could make a budget top 5 knee and elbow protections video
There's many beginners who doesnt know what to buy
WHAT DID YOU DO? I cant believe you got rid of the beard!!
it grows back
@@beefnacos6258 underrated comment
I love his mustache !
Lino,I need any of these bad boys. How can get my hands on them here in Miami,Florida?
5:27 This guy never wore a pair of sweat pants in his life LMAO
Kudos on the mustache sir
Do Enuui make a knee and shin guard?
WHOA! Haha. What a surprise! Mustache looks good tho! Great video about knee protection.
Can't believe you hacked off the beard, you look like a different person haha
Estas joelheiras são adequadas para downhill? Eu penso que em caso de quedas em velocidade, elas grudam no chão. Sempre penso que proteções que deslizam são melhores para altas velocidades.
Love the mo Boet
good job thank your sir
There is a lot of diferent the normal to the pro?
So, in your opinion. Which one is better?
Nice stash
Epic moustache 🤙🏼
Do they make elbow pads like that,
Oi Lino! Tudo bem? Você já utilizou o G-form Pro-x Compression/protection Shorts? Seria interessante se você pudesse fazer um review deste equipamento. Obrigado! Abs, Esteban
Can you do shin guard review too?
best moustache ever
Like to the clean face. If you are growing your beard again I would say not so long. And of course, great review, Lino. ✌🏼
How do I buy these?
that's a fresh stache
Nooooooooooooooo!!!!! What did you do. Beard life forever. Love the curls tho. What wax you use?
The ennui pro pads are great, except one annoying detail - sizing. I don't know how they measure them in production, but me being a 183cm high, 79kg European male, I have the L/XL fit very tight, to the point when it feel uncomfortable at times. I do not have any excessive weight. They need to make bigger sizes of these. I really like the lightweight design of the pads, so this strange sizing has pushed me towards research on G-forms and similar pads
I am of a bigger height than you and weight more, and have measured the L/XL in a shop and it seems that they fit only on a bare knee and require some setting in. So no option to wear them on clothing (unless there is a kind of clothing material which combines well with the material these kneepads are made of). I would really like to have them but the weather conditions don't allow me to wear shorts most of the year, so I had to go with plastic kneepads which strap on with velcro belts.
aaa like D3o, icon's motorcycle protection stuff
THE LINO LIFE, why are you looking like a Mario-Bro, is it helping you to become more aerodynamic? LOL!
I also forgot to add you're looking mighty Sharp.
THE LINO LIFE,
turns out you really are a Mario bro
Olá sou do Brasil qual é a melhor das duas?
OH SHITT! Magnificent Mustache!
#TEAMMUSTACHE
RIP Lino's beard..
I need a moment to grieve..
😭😭😭
Okay I'm done. I have the G-form knee pads, love them, but these look good too!
Also, first!!!
I'll grow it again ,) summer is coming and my face needs a bit of light 😜
@@RicardoLino haha you look good Lino beard or no beard, and hey you're still Lino we love ya.
Your channel is awesome.
How much r they bro
Quick question. So will you change the channel photo from a beard to a mouthstache? Gr8 video btw.
Inline King_ Carbibean skaters hehe. No. It will grow 😉👍🏻
THE LINO LIFE ok bro👌🔥
what is the size model in the video?
Tortankshiny 54 M on gform and shock sleeve. L on shock sleeve pro :)
Hey Ricardo, I think you mean „my fit“ instead of my feet... 😉
Knee pads must not be grippy, traditional knee pads and other pads with plastic shell outside and foam on the inside just work well, they slide and absorb impact by distributing it through the shell's full structure into the foam and you get an evened out and lesser impact force into your joint. Not going to call this a gimmick, but it would have been nice to see some actual knee slides .
Why can I not find these anywhere? Has this product been discontinued?
nah, saw them in a couple of shops
Link?
@@rollindreaded5695 local shops in my town. I bet you can find them online on Amazon or somewhere else. So I don't have a link for you, unfortunately. You'd have to google it.
Digging the 'stache, dude. 💯 / 10
you need to start wearing a mask like Vega to protect dat pretty mug
Pun intended in the first 2 min 😁😁😁
Sound in animation awfull... pleace make it bit less loud! Other sound awesome and video nice
that glass wouldnt break without the foam...
I also like the beard 😅
Very clean face 💪
Dasssss!!! Mosqueteiro!!!
dam cant believe you got rid of the beard o.0
People people PEOPLE. It's not the beard on the outside that counts. Its the beard on the INSIDE.
what about skates for people with wide feet 😔
...a bit late, strncmbk, but I'd say look out for skates with heat-mouldable shells - they tend to fall into the pricier bracket but I reckon fit and comfort are top priorities if you intend to enjoy skating. I opted for Powerslide's HC Evo Pro and post-heat-moulding, my Frodo Baggins feet are thrilled to bits with them.
Dude didn't even test the shock absorbing quality between the two. geez...
90!!!
You should compare ennui with G Form SKATE knee protectors not with the G Form for cycling. This comparison isn't fair.
I wish i saw this before buying the gform pads. the gform i think is too small, and they move around, and they feel like the materials are really cheap and poor quality.
Put a glass bottle in the Gpad and a regular protection pad and slightly smash with hammer or anything you have. What will happen with a bottle will be your knee when you fall. You will be impressed by how inferior Gpad is.
If you are a beginner and don't knw how to fall don't by such kind of pads!
I think you're now ready to announce your Onlyfans!
always slidding down
I liked it more with a beard. Put it back :P
