Xbox On Has anyone tried Destiny 1 in the X yet? Just wondering if it looks and runs better on the X versus the original Xbox one.
All the Sony fanboys now saying graphics don’t matter... but they did when the original ps4 had a slight advantage over the original Xbox... now that Xbox has the edge, suddenly it doesn’t matter? Smh
Yeah that is a seriously SAD mentality. I bought X1X due to the extra power as framerates are my main concern. Holding 60FPS is key for me. The X1X puts in a bloody good effort for £399 (plus a free game!)

From my own personal list I would say these games look best on the Xbox One X and a 4k TV with HDR:
1. Assassin's Creed Origins
2. Gears of War 4
3. Wolfenstein 2
4. Shadow of War
5. Forza 7
6. Rise of the Tomb Raider
7. Mafia III
8. Injustice 2
9. The Evil Within 2
10. Hitman
These are some of the games I've played and tried on the X. I can't go back after playing on the X amazing console, I love it.

Yeah, I find the praise for corridors in Mirror's Edge and the city in Skate 3 to be a bit odd. Sure, they look better, but still lack much detail. Games like AC Origins, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Forza 7 that were built for 4k are definitely more impressive, but didn't get a mention.

Absolutely agree, been on PC for a few years, after underwhelming Xbox One, VERY underwhelming, and I'll be honest, the current interface is nothing short of bloody HIDEOUS to use, with that out of the way, and after the last couple of years GPU prices from Nvidia, well, I came back to try.... and I am absolutely loving my Xbox One X. Game Pass is wonderful, and the backwards compatibility, and well, what you said, this is great stuff, REALLY impressed!!!

The update is here and it's fantastic. 60fps dynamic 4k is the way to go.4k runs at solid 30. Improvements are apparent straight away. Great job CD projeckt red.

Monster hunter world on the One X is just amazing and runs at 60fps
Just got my 1X a few days ago and the games that really impress me are Gears 3 and 4 and Fallout 3 look surprisingly good
So far I've only played CoD WW2 and fortnite but they look soooo good in 4k.

David Brian Medina On your PS4 Pro? Have both consoles. Both are great. But there is a definitely a difference with the Xbox One X. Are you settings on the console and TV set up correctly?

ARK had an amazing patch too. Render distance is increased and all textures bumped. Also the skies are now breathtaking. More color with moving clouds and the starry night sky with an updated moon is an amazing sight.
But they didn't optimise the game. The fps makes it unplayable with a good fps ark would be taking up all my time
Star Wars Battleground II and Need For Speed Payback are infected with loot box gambling! Best to ignore both games.

I feel sorry for you, try to enjoy it without being lured into paying real life money for the micro transactions. If you need a motivator to help you with that, in 2-3 years from now there will be SW BF3 and nothing you have accomplished in BF2 will matter anymore. All money spent in BF2 is 100% wasted and in the pockets of EA.
Aah yeah forgot to mention, if you want to play a X1X enhanced game, I'm absolutely enjoying Assassin's Creed Origins on my X1X, for me this is the GOTY together with Horizon Zero Dawn. Yes ACO does have micro-transactions as well but they are not as intrusive as in SW BF2: they are cosmetic only (even in a singleplayer game) and for a fixed (yet overpriced) amount of money.

I haven't spent a dime past the game purchase for BF2. It would be nice if I unlocked stuff faster but so would just not having unlocks. Thanks mondern warfare 1, ruined online shooters forever.

Its impressive how the game looks on the One X.
I'll be getting my 4k TV and Xbox One X early next year, and since I've only just started playing Forza Horizon 3, by the time I get them the game will have 4k upgrades and look beautiful... I can then try similar on the PS4 Pro to see how Gran Tourismo Sport looks in comparison!

360Ragequit ps4 pro can't do 4K it says on the Sony website upscaled and checkerboard to almost 4k quality.

8-core Jaguar cores? That's actually a limitation. It's the "X"'s custom GPU that's doing all the work.

8-core Jaguar cores? Really mate? It's the 40CU from the GPU you can thank for the 4K goodness, that CPU is holding the console back if anything, even with the improvements made to it.
Um....not sure where you got that idea from, The consoles definitely have a GPU's inside, what you are thinking is that it doesn't have a discrete GPU, the CPU and GPU is a custom design that is built on one silicon dye. Without a GPU the console would not be capable of doing much. MS have been touting 6TF of GPU compute power for over 18 months now, that should tell you there is a GPU inside.

Forgotten by a lot but the elder scrolls online enhanced is so beautiful! And it has in my opinion some of the best graphics

The three games that have really surprised me on the X are: Mafia 3, Homefront, & Dishonored 2. All 3 were rough & broken at launch. With the patches they look & play so much better now. Dishonored 2, in particular, is fantastic.

Destiny 2 looks really awesome in Real native 4K and many high details at rock solid 30fps, they probably could go a bit higher but thats more than enough for most people
I would like to see Def Jam Fight for NY become backwards compatible for xbox one or make a new one/same or similar one for xbox one. One of the classic and best xbox original games.
I love my Xbox One X and I appreciate the power but, at the end of the day, I just play what I like. I've been mostly playing Halo MCC (playing all of the older games before I tackle Halo 5), Cuphead, Skyrim, and Quantum Break for the past week. A couple of those are enhanced but it isn't the end all be all that I thought it would be.

Improving the image quality of past games is fine for people who missed out on those games the first time round or people who would like to revist games they enjoyed, but what Xbox One X needs to save it are exclusives.

Hi, i have an Xbox One X, and when i put Forza 7 on today it notified me that there was an update for it, so i started the update but it seemed to stick at 6 mb downloaded, so i pressed on cancel all, and when i tried to launch the game again, with the assumption of it notifying me that there was an update, i had to reinstall the whole game, and the 60 odd gb One X patch all over again, has anyone else experienced anything like this?

There's no defending NFS: Payback's 30FPS and saying the XBOX ONE X enhances its cinematic quality detracts from the fact NFS: Payback is a videogame not a movie no matter how badly it wants to ape the Fast and Furious franchise. Ubi made a similar remark about Assassins Creed Unity being locked at 30FPS instead of 60 and it's blatantly a bogus statement unless you prefer your games as movies-which might be understandable now that publishers are turning videogames into virtual casinos.

Fallout 4 does not run at 30ps on the xbox one x, not constantly at least. Lots of Downtown Boston areas dip way below 30fps. Sure, some areas do run at 30fps and it looks gorgeous. To say even the most stressed areas are locked at 30fps is utterly false.

Skyrim doesn't have upgraded textures. It's only a resolution upgrade. I was disappointed to still see the same old ugly textures everywhere when I tried it out.

It really depends on the value you are going to put into a console. Are you pursuing exclusives or totally fine with multiplatform games? How much have you already invested into a platform? How much are you willing to invest? Are you going to play more with PSN or your XBL friends? These are the questions I usually ask myself before getting a new console.
I've bought Xbox One X just yesterday and Wolfenstein II looks super smooth and crisp on my old 1080p120Hz monitor. I was just "WOW". Subnautica is really buggy and unoptimized now, yet it runs and looks great too (compared to Xbox One S). I'm eager to see how other games perform, but they're still copying over. :D So, yeah, you don't need a 4K panel to enjoy the additional power.
Nekroido I forgot to mention that if i buy the X there's a big chance I'm gonna be keeping my original ps4. And Yes there aren't many good exclusives on Xbox but I'm planning to get it on my birthday in February. I'm also debating whether i should get a new phone or not. I also have no 4k tv but men i really looks good on my 1080p tv. Buy a X and you don regret it. Tomb raider looks amazing and also forntite is a upgrade when i compare it with the ps4 version. I don't have a ps4 pro but a slim. I like to play pubg that's the version only on Xbox one X.
You still get all the upgraded textures but not the "4k" resolution. Recommended.

What they don’t tell you is you need to set up the X and you TV to get these ‘astonishing’ images, it’s simply not a pick up and play, well it is but your not getting the full potential out of the console or the TV.
Looks great but I haven't a Xbox one x or a 4k TV to try them out and I won't be able to afford either of them for a while.

shadow strike 20 years ago I should of brought a PC and built on that but I have a big collection of Xbox original, 360 and Xbox one games so the X is the better option for me. I'm no fan boy (52 I am) it's just that I went with Xbox and never really felt the need to move to another system. Joking apart with all the banter in the gaming community the PC is the best option but I'm happy with what I play on.
I'll be glad when Microsoft actually makes new first party games and not just cleans up old games I've already played
I really like my X and there are differences over Pro on some multi plats. Not all games showcase much of a difference and its definitely not worth the asking price as I've yet to see the X better Uncharted 4,Zero Dawn or GT Sport technically. You know why?. PS4 has exclusives and these push hardware. X suffers on exclusives compared to Sony and that's a real pain as I would love to see more Xbox exclusives that push the X. My gaming preference is single player campaigns. This is why my opinion is what it is. The X though is a great system... no doubt . Own both Pro and X and you will have ultimate gaming. A decent 4K HDR set.. over 50" and its gaming heaven.
Sure as hell isn't the "Jaguar" Cores that bring the 4k resolution. As you get higher up the resolution less and less burden is on the CPU and most of the burden is put on the video card. You can thank AMDs custom polaris chip for your 4k. The main reason for keeping Jaguar cores is because of being easily compatible with prior Xbox One, just like the PS4 and PS4 Pro. Jaguar cores in the PC world would be so far down the totem pole that they wouldn't even be on benchmarks for bottom of the barrel CPUs.
