- Bluegrass banjo lesson for Train 45, a song associated with J.D. Crowe. This song is very similar to the well known Foggy Mountain Breakdown, with a few licks that make it different. This song is also very beginner friendly when played at a slow tempo. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for these video lessons. I’m sure it’s a lot of work. Hope to meet you at SPBGMA. Buy you lunch.
Thanks for watching! I unfortunately won't be able to make SPBGMA this year, I really hope to go someday though.
Hi! I was wondering what bluegrass songs you suggest learning if you're new to banjo playing. Greetings from Belgium
Hey, welcome to the channel! Songs like Banjo in the Hollow, Cripple Creek, and John Hardy are great for beginners. I have a playlist called Beginner Friendly Banjo Songbook and I put my beginner friendly tutorials in there, if you're interested you could check that out!
I was wondering what kind of fingerpicks you use and where you buy them
I use a Blue Chip JD Crowe thumbpick and Hoffmeyer fingerpicks. Both the thumbpick and the fingerpicks were sent to me by viewers of my channel, but I typically buy music stuff from Banjo Ben Clark. His prices are good and he always gets stuff to you super fast after you order it.
