  • This video goes through all the steps to create a very powerful e-bike with this particular Yose Power electric bike conversion kit. I have converted several bikes with this kit and they have been brilliant. This kit is easy to use, high quality and very cheap! I would highly recommend this ebike kit. The links are below.

    Very good kit, mine is installed onto my bike, i literally had no experience but still managed to do it due to its simplicity, i would recommend this to ANYONE wanting an Ebike as its soo easy to build and is great. I got about 34 miles on mine today with around a qaurter of the battery left.

      Would you recommend going for a kit that has a battery bigger than 13ah? That's my only doubt right not. Integrated controller with 13ah battery or separate controller with a 15ah battery. Thanks.

    Great stuff! I'm a bit confused about the brake levers, what do they do (apart from the obvious), would it work with hydraulic brakes?

    • @creativebuilds2
      @creativebuilds2  Před rokem +1

      They automatically cut off power to the motor for extra safety. I didmt use them as my gear shifters were connected to the brakes. Also, for 350w, it is not really a problem as there is not enough power for the motor to beat the bikes braking system. If i were to push throttle fully and hold down the original brakes, the bike would barely move but for over 500w, its necesary

    Inspiring video, my Carrera bike has the same gearshift/brake combo units as you have so I wouldn’t be able to use the brake levers provided in the kit, will it still work ok without them?
    I bet the bike flys!? How’s your bike with the kit now?

    hey, a geuine doubt. i have got the same kit. i wanted to add an extra battery of same volts but more amps (20ah))than this one. how do i do with a dual battery parallel connector module when the controller is built in the battery holder? i asked yosepower, they replied with same battery pack. but i am doing a partime delivery job as well. so a more amps same volt battery would give me more miles. any solution will be very much appreciated. thanks.

    • @creativebuilds2
      @creativebuilds2  Před rokem

      Hello, sorry for the late reply. Connecting batteries in parallel that have different AH is dangerous. You could buy the same type of battery and connect them in parallel, but if you want extra capacity and buy a battery with more AH, you should add a switch that can swap between the two batteries (there are videos on youtube that show this). It is not too difficult and is a great solution to your problem :) Hope this helps!

    I got this kit and I’m having problems with the freewheel not fitting in well with the motor. It becomes too tight and doesn’t spin freely. Do I need specific freewheel type or what ? I tried two different kind of freewheels both don’t fit but they fit well on normal wheels

    • @zinodz2
      @zinodz2 Před rokem

      @@abdomoussa5142 I figured out that you’ll need a specific size of washer that will sit between the freewheel and motor. I took it to a bike shop and they said it’s exactly that and they happen to have the right washer that fits in perfectly. I think the washer must be thin enough to not touch the moving parts of the freewheel and enough to hold the inside circle of the freewheel. My bike works perfectly normal now

    • @creativebuilds2
      @creativebuilds2  Před rokem

      This is quite strange... you should double check the measurements of the motor where the freewheel screws onto, and see if it is the same dimentions as a normal wheel. If they differ, you should contact YosePower.

    • @creativebuilds2
      @creativebuilds2  Před rokem

      Im not too sure... maybe you can get a smaller freewheel and tinker with the rear derauller to make it suit the new freewheel.

    Are there any compatibility limitations?
    I'm worried that I will buy this kit buy a bike and find something will not be compatible

    • @creativebuilds2
      @creativebuilds2  Před rokem +1

      Most bikes will be compatible, but here are the main things to look out for:
      - size of wheel (eg. 28")
      - whether your bike has a freewheel or casette, the ebike kit has these two options, to find out what your bike has, watch a video.
      - battery size, make a rough cardboard model with the dimentions of the battery amd check if it fits in the bike.
      If you check all of these, you should be fine. I hope this helped :)

    Thinking of getting this. I may sound a little naive here but is nobody worried about the 250w at 15mph limit law or is it just not enforced? What would happen if you have an accident? Not trolling, genuine questions. Great video.

    • @creativebuilds2
      @creativebuilds2  Před rokem +1

      Hello, here in the UK the laws are quite firm and the police will stop you if you seem to be travelling faster than 15 mph or if your motor looks much larger than 250w.
      This 350w motor is pretty much the same size as a 250w motor so it is not obvious plus this kit can be speed limitid by the user.
      The reason i bought the 350w motor is because i wanted a little more torque without getting noticed, i have the speed limited to 15 mph as well.
      But if you want to stay on the safe side, i suggest getting this 250w motor kit from the same brand:
      yosepower.com/collections/e-bike-conversion-kit/products/e-bike-conversion-kit-36v-250w-front-motor-kit-with-36v15-6ah-battery-and-charger?ref=e9LQjDbD
      This kit is 250w and has a slightly larger battery for significantly more range.
      When you are buying, remember to use code ECOBIKES for €10 off.
      I hope this helps :)
