Indian Runner ducks move to their winter housing at Moorparks in Devon

Indian Runner ducks at Moorparks usually live in 'The Waddle on Inn' and their own little paddock. Ducks love mud and will make a real mess if left in an small area with wet ground. So, around October each year we move our girls into their winter area. The winter space is our vegetable patch. We clear the patch and they have a section of a shed to sleep at night. During their time here they will sift the mud and keep it clear of weeds and grass and it will be ready for us to plant up again the following year.

Glad you liked them. About this time of year the girls 'slow down production' and it will stop soon until next year. The chickens too will slow down as the daylight gets less.
