- A look into how I made some of my edits.
This was a bit rushed, I probably should've made the transitions a bit longer.

Cropping and lightning really are powerful elements that people often ignore when making weirdcore, it makes it so much more immersive
Also compression
One of the tricks I saw was when there’s a light source, to dim out everything BUT keep the light brighter. It gives a sort of strange effect where the room is dark but the light is bright
yea, saturation have a big impact on weirldcore
@@tonykhang1984
More like contrast.
Yeah.
Ye turn up the highlights and turn down the exposure ione way to do this
the “you’ll be safe here” one made me feel so safe and happy and calm wtf
i love that one!!!
Damn, this is like weirdcore texture archaeology
I never considered editing photos and removing original elements in them to add to an edit. You’ve got good stuff going Lawg
i love your editing style, you're an expert at creating the unwelcome, unnerved feeling that i love seeing from weirdcore
Woah, I really like your edits.
This is really helpful as I want to start making weirdcore edits myself. I'm wondering what is a good photo editing software that's good for beginners?
I use GIMP but that might be a little complex
@@Lawg202 yeah I tried it, I might try it again though. Everything will probably have a learning curve I just gotta stick with it.
pixlr, it’s pretty decent and it’s online so you don’t have to download stuff
the one with the "this is our home!" image is so good ngl
dang i didnt know so much editing went into these!
Weirdcore is basically the first project of everyone who is just starting to learn photo editing softwares.
Weirdcore images make ne feel so happy they look really cool and i like it
THANK YOU!! I finally found out what my project on school will be!!
The before is what normal humans see.
The after is what wierdcores see.

These are very cool! Good job!

Please do a follow up video of this. I'm always looking to try and improve my edits and I can see now how amateurish my first ones are!

Any one know any tutorials on this
I am your 420th like. You're weclome
Hey,um..Sorry for asking, but where did you find the original images? Or what did you search to find these? I really want to make my own weirdcore edits!
the technique for finding images I've been using recently involves reverse image searching existing weirdcore edits to find similar bases
I've also found some success by googling generic camera filenames, such as "IMG_" followed by a random 4 digit number.
@@Lawg202 I did what you said and it worked so good!!
Now i can make good ol' weirdcore images :>
@@Lawg202 how do you do it? i don’t know how
what software do you use, and how do you find these images. Also how do you make classic 2000s font and effects? help
I use GIMP for most of my edits. I find base images by either searching generic camera filenames (usually "IMG_ followed by 4 random numbers") or reverse image searching existing weirdcore edits on Google and Yandex.
The fonts are just common fonts like arial or times new roman with shadows/bevels/textures added in manually.
@@Lawg202 thanks bro ive been trying to find this editing style. thanks for helping!
what software you use to create that 2000s nostalgia?
gimp
did you take all the photos yourself?
no
Where did you find that smiley face
the palace
where do you get the original images from?
usually google images or yandex
mom.:. ewwww. me:,. this. is. not. fine
What's the difference of dreamcore and weirdcore?
Dreamcore generally has less of a focus on early internet aesthetics, and is more likely to include concrete characters or stories. as opposed to weirdcore, which is more abstract and lacking in context.
Dreamcore also has more of a fantastical sortof vibe than weirdcore imo, you're more likely to see stuff like eyes, mushrooms, fairies etc. but that's probably more of a personal take than an objective definition.
This shows how weirdcore is kinda lazy
it can seem low effort on the surface but it's actually very tricky to get it right.
