That seat edge squaring always gets me on bikes nowadays too. Not sure why they do it. As if everyone has a 9" gap between their legs. I'm used to the upright position on bikes so that works for me. They're all trying to get that 45-60 market! The more they offer the better the choice so good to see all the brands are making em.

Nice Bike.It has ABS,Traction Control ,and Drive Modes.I heard if you put the traction control on and you have it in A mode the Front end will fight to come up a few inches and go back down again.Beautiful roads in the UK.Thankyou for the nice review.I'm from Southern California in the States and things are much the same.I hope I can buy the Red FJ09 in the New Year.IF I do I will tell you about my adventures and how it rides and so on.
Nice review Mr B, not a bad looking bike, sounds very usable, and would make a nice addition, RSM8.

I know it's a different style of bike but i much prefer the original 09. Still a tidy machine tho. Excellent review as ever Mr B!

Does the Tracer tank fit on the MT09 for the added full?
+Adam Cooper If you could fit it, then the seat would not fit. A lot of hassle, might be easier to get the tracer and go the other way :)

Sure, she has her foibles but for price and shits and giggles..But that seat..?(Touring...Haa...Maybe...)

Mirrors are "good", better than the Triumph....Really??? ;-)
And also a decent set of clocks to boot!!
+Blahdeblah52 The clocks are functional but I feel they are not in keeping with the style of the bike. But yeah, if I could take one thing from this and put it on my MT-09 it would be the bigger fuel tank.
