thank you for watching and supporting my dreams. i appreciate you more than you know 🤍
Omg “what’s it like being a duck?” 😂 u guys are killing me
If there’s one thing Cassandra Clare is gonna do it’s write miscommunication 😭 I’m already preparing myself for how frustrating the wicked powers is gonna be because Kit and Ty are the kings of miscommunication 😅
soooooo true. that's why I read her books once the whole trilogy is out cause the miscommunication and the love triangles and the cliff hangers are always soooo frustrating
true... 😅
The ducks attacking you was so fitting for this video😂
i actually can't believe it
We haven’t seen Chloe this STRESSED for a while and I’m sorry it’s so entertaining 😂😂😂😂
LOL
the ducks are KILLING MEEEE
i’ve never seen a duck be that chaotic omg
the way i screamed when you mentioned sasha-- it's like my two worlds colliding and i love it 🥰 i can't even explain how happy it makes me that the two of you are friends???? this really just made my entire month (which hasn't been the best) so much better. love you both!! 🖤💜
This book was such a roller coaster I laughed and cried and cursed Cassandra Clare’s name to the wind and cried some more
noooo those ducks running at yall had me crying lmao that is horrifying
I actually gave this one four stars, because I decided early on to ‘embrace the melodrama’. I also hadn’t had the long wait to find out what happened in the end of the series, because I only started this series in October last year. I actually enjoy reading gothic melodrama (recently finished Mysteries of Udolpho), so all the miscommunication, multiple plotlines and at times dramatic over- reactions were what I expected once I decided that melodrama was what CC was delivering in this book.
The Matthew/Cordelia interactions were not my favourite bits, and I thought any part of Cordelia buying into reciprocating Matthew’s feelings was not believable unless you put it down to ‘people making bad choices under stress’… I am really cranky about Christopher being killed off though - I’m sure there were other options that would have achieved whatever CC was trying to achieve there. I was also pleased to see Grace’s redemption arc, and for Jesse and Lucie’s situation to be resolved.
In general, I think the writing in this book very much reflects the time in which it was written and can be viewed through the lens of a bit of a trauma response to the pandemic and general instability or frankly insane political machinations playing out around the world. I should also admit I read this over two days just after it was released. I was able to ‘lose myself’ in it, didn’t find it dragged, and aside from wanting Tatiana and Belial to get their just deserts remained pretty much invested in the story throughout.
TID and TLH remain my fave CC series, and although Chain of Thorns was never going to live up to everyone’s expectations (maybe CC set herself up a bit there with the excellence of chain of Iron) it still wasn’t that bad. I will always think Chain of Iron is the best book of that series though. And I’m kind of curious as to how she originally planned to end it, and what was changed because of the trauma arising from the pandemic.
Exactly, bring back the spoiler reading vlogs🥺
the bunny mentality is for real i literally just checked your page for this five minutes ago to see if i had missed it🐇 characters ate but the plot…😀
bunny magic i think... 🤍
I was mostly intrigued and entertained by all of Chloe’s changing nails throughout this video hahahah
Not me being sad for the first duck just wanting to hangout and staying close by 😭 the ither two running up were just wanting chaos and to stick up for their friend 😂 this was so cute!
the ducks killed me
The duck attack had me CRYING😂
Completely random sidenote: I just watched blackfish because you and Caitlin recommended it in a twitch stream and WOW 10/10 would watch again.
EXACTLY!!! i honestly can't stop thinking about it
Th ducks were paid actors
The ducks said “Ducks Gone Wild: Food Edition!” But other than that, the park looked nice (had to stop at spoilers because sadly I haven’t finished the series yet or even reached that book yet.)
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣These geese/duck freak me the hell out.
A group once chased me. Thanks God no one was watching.
I'll definitely be getting back here once I finish reading. I'm so scared oh no 😭
I readed it and I cry about it. Like my favorite child is gone. Like no
Oh my goddess those ducks! I was laughing so hard and I swear that drake was laughing at you in the b roll 🤣
THE DUCKS omfg i would have cried. i have such a phobia of birds i couldn't even deal
“What is it like being a duck” you got me laughing so hard 😂 I’ve been having a hard time at school so I’m happy you posted this exactly what i needed❤️😀
What rude ducks!! Aside from them it looks so nice to read in the park 😊🌿
YAY ! Another Chloe Bunny Vlog ! 🤍🤍 The Duck I Can Not !!! 😅😅😂😂
LOVE YOU CHLOE !!
Do I have to read Shadow Hunters before these books?
Will, Tessa and Jem are the only love triangle I will ever accept in any book EVER. The Infernal Devices was written so beautifully and the fact that Tessa got to be with the two men she loves most just brings me to tears every single time. The Claudia and Matthew story line was just so forced in comparison.
PLEASEEEE the way those ducks attacked the sushi containers 😭😭😭
the ducks omg so cute
watching the duck bully u guys this just shows how Will Herondale from infernal devices is never wrong and his strong dislike for ducks is justifiable lol :) the coincidence lmao😅😅
aw love ur vids its always a comfort
The duck waited for backup 😂😂😂 “absolutely not”
I need to come back once I have read it :)
Ahhh I need to get home asap and watch this ❤🎉😂
Omg the park is so pretty, where’s the park at?
2:54 LMAOOOOOO THE DUCK ATTACK IS SO FUNNY I AM CRYING
Your friend literally bopping the duck to get the sushi 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
THE WATER BOTTLE MICROPHONE AFTER “you don’t wanna be interviewed” 🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀💀
I love your videos ❤
The duck attack while reading Cassie Clare book. Ironic actually.
omg the duck part was cute and funny lol
2:30 Chloe & Co made their own Birds movie 🦆🤭
We hope you’re doing well. Bless you,
The ducks knew Will was in that book
okay i was there for thomas & alastair -- sry not sry
And people think I’m crazy when I say I’m scared of ducks ! Look at these devils
The ducks were trying to stop you from reading chain of thorns lol
Hii chloe, hope you are doing good. It really missed your vlogs and it was so fun vlog. The way you both got attack by duck was so funny😂. And you were like " what's it like being a duck?" the duck was like " Mam I am a very introvert duck, I just came for food, I don't socialize."😂
I still need to start the series 🥲
I thought that duck was a statue at first and then *YIKES* omg, dying (we have a family of geese at my University - multiple generations at this point - that roost between the Chemistry building and the Student Union/river and they are the meanest little shits on earth, like they will take your lunch if you make the mistake of trying to eat outside)
i'm confused about the reading order of her series, what is the easiest?
I would say: The Infernal Devices, The Mortal Instruments, The Dark Artifices and then The Last Hours if you just want to read the series without the short story books.
@@thousanduniverses thanks!
I read it: mortal instruments, infernal devices, the last hours and dark artifices
@@amarijamison459 Reading The Last Hours directly after TID is a good way too.
@@amarijamison459 thank you!
Oh my goodness the ducks were acting like dogs lol ❤ there so stinking cute
Justice for the duckies wanting to be a main character and just read 😢😂
NEVER trust a duck
Oh my God, the duck attack!🦆
NOT THE DUCKS 😂😂😂😂
we are survivors 🤍 thank god we were in the trenches together 🫡
not the ducks bullying you guys 😭
but also “YOU TURNED THE PAGE ON MY KINDLE” 😂😭
never trust a duck, you’re so RIGHT bunny
😍😍😍
I literally could not finish after Christopher’s death. Not because it was emotional but, because I literally found myself screaming at how poorly written and slow paced the plot was going. I skimmed the last chapters as well and just…couldn’t find myself wanting to read what I already knew would be written: “everyone has a happy ending”. Which is what I want but nothing in this book felt earned. This whole trilogy, unfortunately, felt very lackluster and different in terms of well written plot compared to her other work in the Shadowhunter world. Also, for me, and I could not get attached to any characters. Not even James and Cordelia really because it felt like too much of “you already know how this will end so I don’t need to do anything about their own development.” I agreed with every point you brought up Chloe! Sadly, this trilogy didn’t hit (Chain of Iron truly the best out of all three in my opinion) and I hope this type of writting and lack of plot does not occur in the wicked powers.
😍😍😍😍😍
🤩🤩👍👍
Oop Cordelia and James aren’t having twins lol that’s Charlotte and Henry teehee
I had so many thoughts when reading CoT but the one I keep coming back to is that it reads as if someone fed ChatGPT all of Cassie Clare’s works and it produced this hot mess… 😅 It just read as lazy, repetitive writing relying on old tropes and none of the storylines were particularly satisfying. It was so disappointing because I know she could have written something so much better!
I was wondering are there beliefs in other countries like in mine that bird poop brings good luck?! :D
I was also disappointed with it and gave it 3 stars. I personally was team Matthew but knew she was going to end up with James. I cried when Cordelia turned Matthew down. I love Jesse & Lucy they are so cute!. I found there were too many perspectives which made the book hard to get through. I also really liked Grace and understood where she was coming from. She was an abused child who was terrified of her step-mother.
I’m not gonna lie I’m such a lover of sushi I would fight a whole group of ducks to save them 😂
Tht is too funny! In america hehe ducks just wanna be left alone and they get feisty if u bother them! Ur duck friends were like sorry we dont like personal space
Lucie and Jesse were the real main characters in this trilogy and the best romance ever. I hated how Cassie treated Charles’s character. I wanted to know more about Eugenia; she felt like a “Hey, I’m here too.” character. What ever happened to Cyril Tanner he’s literally not even mentioned in this trilogy; did he just die off-page.
aah the ducks
I was only here for Matthew’s arc & Alastair’s arc tbh but something happened in the end and I was like wtf were just glossing over that??? Idk not satisfying so I get the reviews but I still gave it 3.5 but the others were 5 stars so disappointing for sure
To clarify not Matthew with Cordelia I just wanted good things for Matthew in general I was like how is he going to get a happy ending WELL 🫥
Just watched the start of this vlog - we are not joking when we say Australian wildlife is dangerous, even the ducks can kill you! Or try to steal your sushi. They were especially aggressive, must be really good sushi 😻 🦆🦆 i have to admit, while that would have been stressful to experience, it was absolutely hilarious to watch after the fact. Yay for the duck conquerors ✨✨
sorry but caitlyn muting u every time u give a spoiler is sending me 😭
lol no i'd mute myself before giving spoilers!
Reminds me of the ugly duckling those ducks were savages 😂
Your just like the men in America 😂😂😂😂😂
tbh the plot wasn’t good but i find the shadowhunter world so comforting and after i finished i had a gaping hole in my heart 😂🥲🫠
when i was a kid i gotten bitten by a duck once and they actually have like tiny "teeth" or whatever you wanna call it and it REALLY hurt 😭 i was shook to the core
