He literally sounds like Michael Caine. lol. Great tutorial, very helpful.
Very cincise tutorial. I am only starting to learn the new features of iC8 and CC4. but your tutorial really helps. More, please!
Excellent tutorial
Very helpful and clear, thanks!
Very useful tutorial! To the point!
Great tutorial, both thoughtful and thorough! I like tutorials that go in depth on a tool or capability. Keep up the great work!
😃That was quite helpful. Thank You ;-)
Will Reallusion ever make a tutorial video on how to set up a custom character from Max or Maya with with these controls? Not just from your own library?
I never had any good results with the puppet tool. I would like to have clips that I can layer and change in length and can blend in and out based on the blend value. All this should be non-destructive until I merge the layers.
When I record something, I want to see those recorded curves immediately in the UI. After recording, I want to have a smoothing button to reduce the keys.
Instead of this strict preset that couples head movement with emotions so strictly, I would prefer to have a single list of presets (without sub-icons) and the option to browse these presets by tags (instead of tiny icons) much like in a VST plugin (e.g., Native Instruments). So I would simply check for surprise presets and go through them one by one until I have found the one that fits. The recorded clip should then serve as a clip that I can layer over the existing animation (and store it for reuse).
I would like to be able to create and iterate such "expression-presets" on the fly by dragging and dropping emotions/movements on the axis. I could imagine using one axis to determine the strength of the expression (as it does right now), and the other axis as a blend fader that blends in the expression over the existing animation.
This would allow me to simply build the emotion I want to have (a bit of head tilt, a bit head forward, a bit of eyebrow movement, etc.). After recording, I can either make a preset for reuse or continue changing it for the next task.
Hi,
As always the demo is great but at the same time the Reallusion Interface ( Iclone and CC ) they are very heavy ( toooooo many options present all the time ) Do you plan to have some option to hide some feature or make the interface more light ( basic, advance and Expert Mode )
I 100% agree. I was hoping iClone 8 would have an interface overhaul. It’s a mess. To me, the system to show/hide tracks is also really difficult - even after many many many years using iClone. Maya and many other programs are much better.
Ahhhhhhhh yes...thank you. This helps me so much. Very clear and easy to follow. Thank you.
i find that my animation is way too fast even with 50% option. is there a way to make it even slower?
Edit: just found out you just need to put the play back speed of the timeline to a lower %
Will iclone support in my laptop windows 10 , 64 bit , 8 gb RAM, 1tb,
Unfortunately I get "There is no matching profile for the target character CC4 Extended" when I try to use Face Puppet. It did not work for Traditional nor CC4 Standard either. I guess I'll have to poke around the forums for a clue.
Bro, same problem 😢
Any solution please.... You are pro iclone user, but I am a noob user 😢
Please help me 🙏🙏🙏
@@amitvashishtha8713 I solved this on my own. I clicked the "Refresh" button on the content manager and an update to the "Characters" pack became available. Installing this seemed to have solved the problem.
I want buy iclone7 how please help me
I can't seem to find a tutorial on how to import assets into Iclone 8, specifically, animations that were made in Unreal Engine
I've come across a pretty major issue. Puppet controls are completely offscreen and have no (known) way of re-centering them. Character's stuck with the actions being heavily to the left.
I'm a clone noob, but have you tried changing the little selection to making it stay on the screen, or the character itself?
@@luked9409 I can’t move the puppet window itself. I have two monitors and the window spawns seemingly on an invisible third monitor, so its essentially in a limbo that I can’t reach. Changing the layout or moving the entire IC window to a different monitor doesn’t help.
@@Liam-Scott hmmmmm it seems perhaps something with your layout. Maybe refresh the layout of windows in Iclone? Go to very top, I think it's under window tab, try selecting default setup. That usually helps me when I get things all pushed around and stuff.
High time Alan Marquis came up with a new series of Tuts for IC7/8 like the excellent one he did for 6, since that's him demoing new features here.
Mike Sherwood did this tutorial, not Alan
@@NearlySkulls I see .. well I learned the intricacies of iClone using Alam's iClone 6 fundamentals, and a new course would be definitely be nice
where's kai?
That's what I was about to say. Where is Kai!!? Was not what I was expecting to hear when I click on this video 😅.
I believe Kai is still around but I know this gentleman also knows a lot about iClone.
I'm still here, occasionally creeping around the CZcams comments ;)
@@kd808080 never doubted it.
3:36 Thank you for not showing me how to activate the slider so that the character reacts to it. I'm not Vanga and hz on which key you press....A tutorial called break your head
They need a CC3 character to CC4 converter.
YES!! I was just gonna look that up, but you sorta answered that question..
There really isn't a new CC4 character but there are CC4 facial profiles that have been added. To convert your CC3 character in Character Creator 4, select the character, go to "Window" at the top and select "Facial Profile Editor". In the editor, click "Edit Expressions" at the top. Above the list of expression categories you will see a box with your current facial profile - something like "Traditional", "CC3 Standard", or "CC3 Extended". Click on it and it will let you upgrade the expression profile to "CC4 Standard" or "CC4 Extended". When you are done, Click "Edit Expressions" again at the top to exit the editor. Cheers!
@@0calvin Thanks
@@0calvin Thanks for the very helpful instructions!!
Great tutorial but very poor audio (a lot of echo 😅)
Way to make it as creepy as possible
