Your intro picture shows a very different and a impossible shot to cut backwards using spin. Try not to use this tactic to make people watch your videos. You have good information about pool, no use of turning into a kinda fraudulent channel. Keep up the great work. You are talented.
Completely agree, within about 2 seconds of him first setting up the shot he was "actually going to teach" I knew how it worked, have used it in matches, and that he had click-baited me...
The shot he shoes actually works my friend.. hard though .. Very good if in a bind.. So the forks that are giving a thumbs down are not outside the box thinkers i guess.
@@ericboisvert7862 the picture that is displayed before you click on the video shows a shot that is impossible. It shows something that he did not even attempt to do in this video. Ive been shooting pool for over 30 years.ive been watching your videos for about a week.ive learned more from watching the videos than in all those 30+years! Thank you !
Although the cut that you demonstrated in the vid is probably more consistent way to sink the 9, I have on numerous occasions banked it from around where it is into the corner. Can be tough to get the angle, but is certainly doable and probably easier than the side bank that you were trying
Thanks for giving a spot to aim. When I shoot myself its hard to see exactly where its going. You tend to give more speed than I do. Will it deflect the same at say half the speed you were doing?
a great video! can I suggest you try and fix the angles of the camera in relation to the table? try to make it more symmetrical you can look at how the pro tournaments set their cameras and have a better idea close-up or overhead cam but it should be easy on the eyes the best part about your videos is that you are passionate for pool and you are developing and growing also control the light in the roommask that window and ebay sells some cheap photography lights that will improve the quality of your videos 10X great job hope someday to get my but kicked by you in pool and i have been playing pool since the 80s but you are very skilled and thast why i watch, and a lot of times you have provided a fresh perspective
I use to use this shot when the lineup was perpendicular to each other. But, I had not used it when the cue ball was on the same side of the pocket to the ball I was trying to hit against the cushion. I will say it should not take 10 minutes to actually make the shot you mentioned at the beginning. I get it may take more than one try. Just edit the video so it makes a smooth transition. Maybe adding a back spin along with the right spin may help the cue ball to make that kiss from the angel. It's been a while since I have done the perpendicular setup. Though think I used both front and back spend depending on the factors at hand. It the angle was off set likexyours, I would not likely use back eight spin on,the shot.
I'm around Atlanta but go to all Supercross races starting in January-May ... My brother races and we drive a bus to all states racing ... I'm free most nights but Saturdays !
Some people aren't a fan of this option, but for that shot i like to thin the object, leave it on the short rail, and take the cue 2 rails to the other short rail. People argue it leaves the long bank, but at least it leaves a low percentage shot compared to the high percentage that you leave your opponent an easy shot of you miss the bank, kick, or extreme cut.
You would be amazed how many people who are top players don’t know about this trick, an 80 year old expert told me this and many others, always listen to old guys with tips.
really kicking the ball in from the side. but same effect. If can help to elevate the rear of the cue, this will give a swerving effect which help to get the ball closer to 90deg to the object ball. The less deg one can have before contact the easier the shot.
Best shot is a bank, 1/2 ball hit with some follow and it will fly back in the corner pocket where you’re shooting from. Easy bank and if you practice it’s a pretty automatic bank
Great video, most non pro pool players can't throw cue ball or understand what it does on throw. I'll Amit I would of never thought of that shot Even though I been throwing balls for 52 years.
so if the 7 ball is frozen and the cue ball is close like in the one example the cue ball can't hit the long rail for a safety it must hit the short rail?
These shots are fine on tables with buckets as pockets try this on a snooker table let’s see how good you are. Or a real pool table. Good luck can’t wait to view the outcome
From the angle you’re shooting that frozen ball it banks back at you with high right over cut the bank and the cue gets out of the way plus you can bank short leave cue at the other end of the table for a safety but miss the rail first spin cut and it’s over and a low percentage shot
There are other ways to make an impossible "bank" shot. Lots of practice to know spin control and the diamonds!! Can be made anywhere on the table. Multi-rail blind banks look really cool when shooting for kicks or on Leagues!! Tons of practice though.
That shot is prolly easier kicking 3 rails because the line of centers is wider all things being equal I n that then kicking backwards and the speed of the cueball also determines the amount of deflection which can make you miss it so bad or hit it so fat ..... I guess it's an option if everything else is blocked
I thought I heard his say IF NO OTHER SHOT WAS AVAILABLE? it not about kick shots, its about reverse cuts, could of double banked in the side, banked it cross corner, reverse bank to corner, or double banks it to far corner. It was about reverse cut shot.
You are right it was about a reverse cut shot that he made only once and not even the same angle posted in the video ... It was click bait but still a possible shot if nothing else is available
Notice the size of the cue ball here. With a very small cue ball this shot is definitely possible and it looks very much like this cue ball is substantially smaller than the object ball.
The shot shown in the thumbnail is not impossible, it's just so crazy difficult that I think he opted for something that he could duplicate. I have had many people tell me a guy named Joey Spaeth from Cinncinnati used to make that shot. Any shot is possible , the mechanics would need to be a nearly full masse though to come into the ball at the correct angle. This young man has a lot of great info, and I agree I was really excited to possibly see the shot performed ,but no need to be so critical imo
You videos are great, and you don't have to clickbait. This was apparently my first dislike on your channel. Also you have already talked about this technique in one of your very recent video. Also not all videos have to be 10 minutes. Quality over quantity. Sorry for so much criticism, but this is what a subscriber expects, and I hope you take this in a good way :)
That's it. 10 minutes equals 3 - 4 ads. Using a screenshot of a larger cut to get clicks draws more views. He's just trying to make money. But now I know not to click on his videos expecting to see what was shown in the picture. Also, he told a couple lies towards the end of the video. That kick shot wasn't at all effected by the side pocket lok
I’d play that shot if i feel i’m hitting the ball well.... if your confidence is high it’s not a hard shot.... it’s all about how you feel ...... and if the ball is frozen it makes the shot even easier
To all the idiots complaining about the length of jadens talking, you wouldn't understand it by simply seeing the shot itself without the explanations. Also, more time people spend watching = more money for CZcams content creators, so chances are, if you were a CZcamsr, your videos will be just as long (if not, longer).
I dont generally remark on some of these videos but like everyone else, I saw the intro picture and knew that this was a bullcrap picture. I have been shooting pool over 65 years and can say that I know a few things about the game. AT least during the video a few decent shots are shown that will help all those who have little knowledge of the game, especially the kicks and three rail shots (which are relatively easy to make). Now if he had shown a 5 rail shot I think I would have been a bit more impressed, especially how he misses the side pocket scratch.
If you need to explain what a double kiss is the person needing that info doesn't need to take this shot and won't make anyway every video I've watched of yours you explain what a double kiss is and you show shots that are semi difficult that for the most part there is a better shot then the one you're showing example: you say (not in this video but) let's say the banks blocked the kicks blocked and those 4 pockets are blocked shoot this shot. You talk like you're trying to teach beginners if that's the case show real shots position play something that will help them
It’s because when he says double kiss without explaining it, he gets a comment section full of people asking what that is. Maybe try not being a sack of shit about it?
The rails factor in a lot on this rail first shot. For example, the rails at the pool hall I play at accelerate the ball rather than to slow it down. Naturally, this is improper equipment. Nevertheless, it is what it is. You need to be more precise the faster the rails play.
So of you hit the balls perpendicular towards the rail it keeps accelerating for every time it hits the rail and the rail on the opposite side so it keeps going on forever? Interesting. Didn't know the human race already have made something with a perpetual motion.
You need to get something to shrink those giant pockets, man. No way that first successful cut would have gone in on the Valley tables I was playing on last night.
Saying that the bank in the opposite corner is not possible, is false. Though the spin cut shot is quite easy for seasoned players that know their deflection well, the bank in the corner is also an option and may be easier for some
After watching this cut shot again I have a few thoughts. First of all like I've mentioned before, you're going to need a very slow cloth to have a chance at this shot. When I played I was an expert at the backwards cut shot, even full length of the table backwards cuts on a 4.5 by 9 foot tables. Without actually seeing this shot live I am not able to make a decision about whether this is somehow staged. It's very close to being unmakeable but there could be some camera tricks being used here to make this shot seem like it's more extreme. Like I said, I was an expert at the backwards cut so I know what I'm talking about.
8 foot home tables in USA usually have 4 1/4" pockets with 2 1/4" balls. Only the old Valley Bar tables have 4 3/4 5 inch corner pockets with no shelf due to the cue ball being bigger to be returned on coin table. which probably what most out of the United States seen when visiting bars.

Isn't that first safe leaving the object ball on the rail a foul too? Cause nothing touched the rail after?
Is that a blob of glue in the middle of the bag to deflect the 9 in
