Welcome to my first look gameplay video of Farming Simulator 2023 In this video I give you an overview of how the game works and what it looks like. Discover Farming Simulator 23
Would love to see at least a mini series to see some more of the gameplay for the switch. Considering buying this game, but would appreciate seeing some more from my favourite FS CZcamsr
I have it on mobile loving the game play. How ever if you dont pay attention when buying feilds you may buy a grape or olive feild...you can not sell feilds and now your stuck having to buy the equipment to deal with grapes or olives...also not finding a way to get rid of either crop so you can just farm as normal. They also require plowing every time you harvest and its a pain because the only cultivator requires two passes per row and it seemingly has zero visual effect so it still looks like weeds/grass in the rows
This should be a lot of fun. I will say that the IOS version running on my iPad Pro has brilliant graphics (better than hoped) on Very High Res. I have been playing FS22 with AutoDrive and Course Play and dozens of mods. I look forward to going cold turkey and learn how to "Play" this game, without all the "Cheats"
Nice first look! I talked myself out of the mobile version watching someone else, but now I am waffling again. I mean, it is cheap enough, I think I will install it. Probably wont play much, my phone is low end, but at least I can tinker with it. Looking forward to the play through.
WOW, FS 23 reminds me of good old FS 13 Maybe you could make a 40-45 min video comparing fs 13, fs17 and fs 22 or all the series starting from fs 2009-2022
An interesting take on the FS genre. UI wise I am not really a fan, some elements obviously have to be optimised for small screens but a few elements (fuel, fill level) I feel could be tweaked for a better UX. I really like the data features that are different from 22 though, I wonder if we will see the field and building overviews added to the base game in the future.
Dagger you definitely should do a series on FS23 i think you would absolutely love this version although you don't normally play on console. I have this on my Nintendo Switch and i love it especially the AI Workers feature that was added and the animal sheds have working doors that you can open and close on your own for realism.
the graphics "okay" considering it is just for a switch but the gameplay and such seems kinda limited... can you expand fields and get more machinery than the few ones in the shop? can you place buildings or can you only buy already placed ones?
@@davidmurray3542fd22 can more and can run on much older and cheaper machines than what you list... and the point is? FS22 can do so much more than the limited Switch version
Would love to see a series on fs23...especially grapes and olives...I am finding them a pain to work with on mobile. And you cany sell the feilds once you mistakenly buy them making you stuck having to buy the equipment to work those feilds. Also finding plowing and cultivating them a pain as you end up having to plow after each harvest and each row requires 2 passes on on each side of a row.
I could watch a series on this, but since the map is small, maybe challenge yourself to end the series when you own every field, animal, and production on the map. Go big!
I have had a mobile version of FS22 since the beginning , its called play on a laptop haha I am glad more people have access to the game now. As for a lets Play series it would not be something I personally would watch but thats just my opinion and hope it is successful!
This was a huge let down for me. I play the switch edition based on fs17 and it’s really in depth mechanics wise and I feel though the graphics are not as smooth on the edges but it’s actually more detailed than this new one. Giants need to produce an actual switch game and stop being lazy. They have proven they can do it. I wasted £40 on a mobile game that you can buy for £7.
Same here. I play switch (2017) and I love the graphics but I wanna do more. I’ve dug and dug but haven’t found the others to be more advanced, if anything less advanced in graphics. Looks like a Lego tractor where switch has details. If you happen to find another farming simulator with same or better graphics let me know!
It's great but I wish they would fix the bug that's making it crash multiple times on mobile loosing everything you've done Also the chickens don't lay anywhere near enough eggs to keep the bakery supplied
Sadly, I stopped playing FS just after FS22 came out. I had devoted a lot of time to FS19 and did not want to start over again, and, it was taking a lot of my time from other things. FS23 is bringing me back into the fold, so any series you do with this game will be watched.
I feel like they could have done so much more with the switch version rather than just doing a mobile game with controls. But I feel like they shortchanged what could’ve been an epic switch exclusive game
You know i have all three of the Switch versions. I like the original the most. I think because it was a port of 17 pc version minus the dlc and mod support and not the mobile versions.
Hey @Daggerwin, have you had any issues using equipment where the AI worker takes over immediately? My son can't find a way to use the implements himself, AI worker kicks in as soon as he presses A, seeding for example.
looks very good but not impressed that they didn't add any new crop types. Happy to see some claas tractors, my real consern would be the traffic AI. does it behave better or not? cause fs22 was anoying as hell, like very bad. Or it's maybe a mobile version of fs22, if thats the case then I'm not really interested in it. Anyway nice vid keep um coming Dag.
This is fs22 just drilled down a bit one thing to note each machine cost units so need to keep eye on them which is also a new feature on this compared to fs20 on switch also no way to cheat money in game no mods can be added
It looks really great! Watching in 1080 it is very much on par with FS22, the only real thing I notice is clipping distance. Cab view starts to show some of the lower res. but playing in 3rd person is actually quite decent. Not sure how this will translate to my Galaxy A71 but this is a novelty at best for me, I am self-employeed, home based and dont use my phone that much.
Hi Daggerwin, please do a series on this game. I bought the game after seeing this video and haven't yet been able to make a profit. Can't afford equipment to get the jobs done. Don't know where I'm going wrong. So I'll follow along with you.
its a shame they're not porting regular FS22 to switch but considering how much they had to downgrade FS17 to run smoothly im not surprised, i just have a steam deck now so portable versions of regular PC FS is easy for me but for switch this isnt half bad, its mostly feature complete with FS22 and im sure its a lot more cost effective to release this on switch than make a unique version optimised just for it, im okay with it
It's a very basic version of the game without mods, which is not the same. It is very good if you're on the move and bored on a train or whatever and you want to play farm sim.
Not great the switch/mobile version this time unfortunately. I mean you cant even do basic stuff like put up a new small shed for any new equipment, enable/disable simple things like crop destruction, automatic engine start etc. A ton of basic features from the original switch version are gone.
It has the fs 16 feel to it for me but being able to move the camera around instead of just in and out makes it much better unfortunately even though my phone is fairly new it won't download this game
In settings, if you were to switch on 'Accelerometer Steering' you can just tilt the switch to steer the vehicles
Why would that be better than using the control sticks
You can also do that on mobile but it sucks just buy a controler to play on mobile...much better game play.

Compared to the other mobile versions, fs16 and 20 definitely an improvement. I am liking the features they imported for the ps / console version.
It is not just and improvement, it is a quantum leap in improvements. The only thing that would make this better would be the ability to add mods.

Yeah i hate the UI. Its the reason im not getting it on my switch.
Amazing that Nintendo's greatest invention has the processing power of today's telephone
You sound like Cheerful Charlie Ireland, suitable voice for this game 😂

You can open and close the doors on pc aswell
I had the game on my switch on 23rd may!
Thank you for picking this up and playing it. It helps with my decision on buying it or not. I trust your opinion on games like these.
you are able to to get steering wheels for switch, they are not that expensive either
can't wait for the lets play.
Let's play plz
nice
Love the vids. When does servival roleplay come out
When ever daggerwin has time.

Can't place anything. Shop is limited. It does look better on a phone, you can set to ultra and it does look amazing on the right phone.
@@paulc1983 interesting that a handheld gaming device has worse graphics than a mere "phone"... that is kinda sad...

@PINKSTER007 This version looks a little better. But the controls are more intuitive in the first one because it's a port of 17.
