Please don’t feel the need to rush this series! One of the reasons Haut was so enjoyable was that you appeared to be genuinely enjoying it. When you’re in a rush to get as big as possible it makes it less engaging.
Really excited to see more of this map! Looks so pretty and I think keeping seasonal growth on is always a more interesting way to play! Don’t rush into massive stuff because the progression is part of the fun
New Map for me and this is going to be a great series. Dag, progress, but don't rush. Just remember, we are here for your comentaty and humor and the never ending entertainment. Let's hope for a long enjoyable series 100+ episodes. Daggerwin Unscripted.
Krumbach is a very nice map, indeed! I've played on it and loved it. Very nice to see you play a series on it. I'm actually hoping you will like it so much, the series get to be a bit longer than just a 'in between series' :)
This is starting out fantastic!!! Feels like the kind of content that sucked me in this channel from the beginning. The progression not rushed get to see a lot of the map it's spread out everything is being taken care of such a great start great work!!!!
the reason we chop the straw is not for fertilizer, its to create extra organic matter in the fields where soil quality is bad, say like on sandy soils as an example. you will never get any nutrients out of straw because all the energy went into forming the crop harvested, the only reason is to create a healthier and more organic soil/environment that microorganisms and worms wants to live in to make the soil quality even better.
@@prophet8973 well not exactly, it only adds extra organic matter to the soil to help microorganisms and worms to thrive, given them something to eat away at and something yo incorporate into the soil and topsoil. the soil erosion you speak of is in most part of the world solved by not tilling or only minimum tilling the soil, those are the concept farmers speak of when they talk about "no-till" or "minimum-till", which basically means you disturb the soil and topsoil as little as possible. those practices help keep the soil together, but the unfortunate side effect of that is soil compaction, the soil gets much more compaction when you dont till it or plow it, which is also why seeders and planters are different or has added parts to them when you have to seed into soil that hasnt been worked over beforehand. the philosophy behind minimum and no tillage is that the compacted soil doesn't erode as fast as worked, tilled or plowed soil does, and to an extent that is also correct, compacted soil doesnt erode so easy because its packed together, so rain or melted snow can't do much damage, but as we all know in the end, we can't really stop mother nature, enough rain or snow will do damage at some point, because the amounts are greater than what the soil can hold or let run off the surface, at some point the water will penetrate and do damage.
@@Cam-gb1cu i used to be a fulltime farmer, then in 2020 our government or the government in my country, diceded that my branch of agriculture and animal husbandry was too big a risk because of COVID-19, so they axed the whole branch and all our animals without actually having the rights to do so, so now I'm just a hobby / spare time farmer, we don't have enough ground to be at it fulltime and ground is too expensive to buy, so i work as an agro-consultant for my main income now. and you are welcome, if you have questions pertaining to anything else, I'll be happy to see if i can answer them for you, there are not enough people connected to the countryside nowadays, so if i can help someone educate others and themselves, it's a good thing.
Chopping straw and leaving it leaves potash and phosphorus (P&K) once it breaks down, reducing your fertilizer bill. If you bale the straw you need to replace the nutrients you remove in the straw. You only don't get nitrogen, I know that's the only fertilizer in farming simulator but in reality straw has value for fertilizer
Outstanding chose of maps ! It's a awesome map ! I was very surprised in how good of a map it is. An I like how the shops are spread around the map instead of all together in one spot ! An the terrain is fantastic !!! Looking forward to watching the series !
I absolutely split my sides at your driving skills in this game! Reminds me of myself, in real life! Although not quite so bad, but not far off! Thankfully yours are virtual, but mine are real 😹 My insurance is through the roof!
I always find these type of maps where you start of with everything and there's so much going on too overwhelming for me but I'm super excited for this series can't wait to see how it folds out!
I think getting rid of your regular schedule is a great idea. Especially if you're feeling overwhelmed with your current workload, by removing your schedule you'll be able to upload videos as you see fit when you see fit rather than finding yourself obligated to meet some previously communicated schedule. I think that's something that we should all be willing to do in life. Take care of yourself. ❤
im relativly new to the game but have been binge watching your last 3 series.. so happy to be here for the start of one and am curious to see the pigs and horses
Love when you do these type of series. I try to follow along on my own map after watching each episode. That being said could you show us your settings and beginning money amount for this series. Thanks keep up the great work.
Really like this new map. Especially the buildings and variety of equipment. I think it'd be cool for you to keep seasonal growth on and add a bit more of a challenge. While also working on sheep and pigs instead of always cows.
If you like this map, then Carinthia is also worth a try. Lots of height differences and smaller fields, with idyllic vistas. Might be something for a next survival challenge?
Ouchh, no nothing happened 🙈🙈🙈🤣🤣🤣 A big laugh at the end of this episode. Thanks for a really nice and funny episode. Really enjoying this and can't wait for the next one
Krumbach is a wonderful map. I created my own farm in the Northwest corner of the map on a large field. Dont forget to do some sightseeing, there are some beautiful spots.
I definitely feel these surprise series are better sometimes than planned ones maybe this slot should be whatever map takes your fancy and when you get bored change it keep it fresh and exciting 🤷♂️ but at the same time get rid of the schedule be more flexible sk you enjoy it more sometimes you may feel you want to play more on this map well do that people will watch whatever you put out 👍
Hi daggerwin, with regards to cereal crops. I tend to put in oats instead of wheat or barley. They pay more when selling , however barley does produce more straw. So swings and roundabouts I guess. Much love. Looking forward to this series.
I started this game awhile ago, and field#9, Canola, never matured for harvesting. Eventually had to plow the crop under to replant following season. Otherwise, I love this map. It’s beautiful. Even has a little waterfall.
Daggerwin could have fertilized the potato field but he instead reduces width and goes around it. Oh well can't win 'em all! That rusty antique single row windrower looks nice where it is but I sure hope it's moveable, otherwise it's going to get edited out of that map if I decide to play it. I had an almost identical windrower where someone had made a replica model that actually moved and worked. It would be wonderful if that mod could be updated for FS22. The map looks like a tight fit for some equipment though it appears to be mostly playable. I wonder if Daggerwin noticed the pallet forks for the front loader attacher or telehandler disguised as part of a fence? This map has a few interesting design ideas Daggerwin might want to discover. 😃👍👍
Yeah it looks like a really nice map. I have just bought myself a new graphic card, rtx 4070 Amp airo. So going to test with higher graphics settings. Exited to see the rest of this map, considering to play on it
Good choice to get rid of that Steyr. That thing had a lot of glitches when I used it on No Man's Land. I ended up hating it a lot. I remember to old seed drills from FS15, or was it FS13? Anyway, the drills could be up to six meters, were fairly reasonable to buy, and had large hoppers. Varastedt I think they were called? Not sure, but if it was 3 m, then either I was doing a small machinery map, or there were no mods.
This looks like it is going to be a great series. Thank you for doing seasonal. I really miss the realistic series you would do. No back to back same crops. Do a rotation. I hope you do pigs this time. Use your potato field for the root crop portion of their food.
Hot take but this is the best map in the game right now, so glad to see you also playing on it as i often watch your vids while i play. Hope this a long-term series!
Hi daggerwin I hope you see this but I'd really like it if u could add the rest of ur survival videos and zielonka videos to the playlists love your content
Ingredients for potash: For approx. 30 g potash, you need 200 g wood ash, without charcoal pieces, and 2 L of drinking water. Boil the filtered clear liquid, stir occasionally until the water has evaporated and only a fine white powder, the potash, remains
I would sell the other big farm but keep the pig farm,.would like to see you try pigs since you do have that small potato plot. Also some of the equipment like the logging trailer would be good idea to sell
If you take a moment to look in the shed with the telehandler you will notice that you start with some bales of hay. Not sure if you start with any pallets of seed or fertilizer. Looking forward to watching this series.
I do enjoy you channel. I think perhaps you are a little hard on yourself. I hope the things in your personal life that you have referenced a couple times are on the mend in what ever way is best long term. Thank you for the hours of entertainment so far.

you will never get any nutrients out of straw because all the energy went into forming the crop harvested, the only reason is to create a healthier and more organic soil/environment that microorganisms and worms wants to live in to make the soil quality even better.
So the chopped straw acts like an organic fiber mesh to hold soil together? Like to stop soil erosion?

You picked a beautiful map to play this series on. You have me convinced to also play on this map
Today is a good day! Love the start of a new series.
Looks like a beautiful map, hope it goes well for you :)
Very good start looking forward to more in this series
love you videos you are the reason i got into farming and now i work as a farmer
How cool is that. I was a farmer and Daggerwin got me in FS for my farming fix.
Hi Dagger! Just came back to the game and found this awesome let's play series! Another from my favourite FS22 content creator.

I absolutely love that spreader! Can’t imagine why anyone would go with anything else! It’s is ace!
Well using the same equipment over and over makes it very boring to watch in my opinion.
Seems like a very nice map!
Wouldn't be a new daggerwin series without a wheat harvest! Congrats on 900K, get this man to 1 mil!
