This documentary totally changed the way I look at Paul.
I used to be one of them DISSAPOINTED for not actually see him getting eaten, but I now have new found admiration for this man and all the good and important things he do.
Interesting video, sad to see him fall victim to the TV industry, but great to hear that he is still putting in the effort

as someone who keeps snakes, the opening to that speacial allready makes me insanely uncomfortable. if they really do this shit theyre gonna end up with a dead snake and/or a failed attempt. even the slightest hint of research would easily prove that even green anacondas cant even get close to being able to eat a person, and trying to feed a snake a meal too large for them can easily kill them or at least force them to regurgitate, which can seriously injusre the snake aswell. im just absolutely horrified if they reallly attempted this
edit: super suprised that id apparently be theoretically possible, itd still most likely kill the snake if it tried tho, and getting it to eat the dude would probably not be the easiest thing either

Actually, there are a few separate incidents of anacondas eating people. One was from almost 15 years ago where they had to cut the anaconda open after it swallowed a security guard who fell asleep on the job.

I still don't understand their plan for getting him out once the snake ate him. The only hints they give are about doing it "somehow", and "safely", but not much else detail wise. I'm pretty sure snakes digestive systems aren't designed to expel something as large as they can intake through their mouths. Meaning they would need to somehow get him back out its mouth without hurting the snake. Seems almost impossible to me.
Regurgitating can kill a snake.
No way the snake could swallow him with all that armour on, and that could really damage the snake with all those hard bits (assuming that was actually the plan to be swallowed).
So was that stomach acid protection suit just there to con the audience?

I feel sad for Paul :( it's not fair that his idea was presented in such a twisted way. I would have enjoyed learning about the rainforest way more than the "Eaten Alive" stunt..
Paul Rosolie's monomaniacal obsession with the Amazon Rainforest is what happens when someone makes environmentalism their personal religious creed. Still, I do have some sympathy for him getting caught up in corporate bullshit. He seems like a decent, well-meaning guy whose naivety got the best of him.
