Great find. I need to find a dad like yours to be in my shop. Smart man is a busy man.
I know this is long done and put back together, but the 954 overbore from the 929 is notorious just like the 954 itself is known for, its piston slap. You can swap the piston heads with an 04 CBR 1000s piston heads because they have longer piston skirts and it helps to negate it.
Any follow up video for the engine build? I’d love to see how it all went together!
Is there a part 3 or episode where its done? What kind of power did it make?
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it. I dont know why you would spend money on trying to make a 929 faster when you could just get a newer 1000, but thats just my opinion. I have a 929 I am rebuilding for a track bike at the moment also.
Thanks for checking out the video. It's crazy, Brad gets asked that question all the time. That is his favorite bike of all time. He has owned every bike under the sun and he said by far that is the best feeling bike. He doesn't like the new ones as he says there is too much electronics and safety things they added on the new bikes that you really don't feel the bike anymore. He wants to ride a bike and feel the vibrations so then he knows what it needs. Plus, I know the new 1000s have a ton of power. Probably too much that you will never get to the full potential of the bike, unless you ride that bike on a mile straight away. But, Brad would rather ride in the "woods" then go in a straight line. The power to weight ratio for those 929s is the perfect storm for his liking. Pretty much to sum it up, it's all personal preference. Should be a great time to see the new bike be out on the track. Good luck on your build too!

I have a mini RODE shotgun mic for my setup. It was one of the first couple videos getting used to it, still learning. Thanks for checking out the video.
