CRYING, this is so so thoughtful and the definition of "If he wanted to he would" so much effort and love put into this, it was incredible to watch!
"If he wanted to he would" also is true the other way round- "If she wanted to she would".
The issue is, modern world teaches women to just be on the receiving end of grand romantic gestures etc. and not the giving end. Plus the expectations that were there for women, have been shot down since they were "sexist, controlling, abusive and so on".
You cant create an equality based world and expect puratinism based results.
I completely agree with the "if she wanted to she would" as well as "if he wanted to he would"
I dont necessarily think women are just in the receiving end of the grand romantic gestures because I've grown up watching my mom put together these big thoughtful surprises for my dad on special occasions and never the other way around, which is okay too cause not everybody loves in the same way. My mom remembers all the dates, the small gestures and relates it to her surprises, kinda like a less expensive version and more domestic version of what you saw arun do.
While my dad isn't really as expressive or grand gestures kinda guy so his way is more subtle like cooking her favorite meal out of the blue just to make her happy, buying her something she likes, or secretly cancelling his plans for her when she needs him emotionally which she may not even realize were even planned in the first place.
