super informative video. I've been looking into a PDM and this might just be the route I go with after watching your video on it. Thanks for the info!

This just made my life easier, my LS FD project is going to be a hell of a lot easier since my body harness got fucked. PDM seems like the best way to go

Man I just ran across this. I'm sure you don't remember but we met at Ls fest either 2013 or 2014 I believe. I had no idea you had a CZcams channel. Well I subscribed! Cool stuff man!!

Hey, you might not see this but would you buy it for a restomod. I plan on stripping out all wiring plan on adding additional luxuries such as power windows. But what could really take it next level is launch control, cruisecontrol, ...
Would you ever consider putting it in an oldtimer when doing a restoration?

Was looking into one after hearing the Hpa101 podcast on them, think they’re a bit beyond my wiring and programming skills

I think I watched this video when you released it, I dont really need a PDM, but I think I'm going to buy one and start learning how to set them up, because I never want to wire a complete car with how I have been doing it, several days of labor. And it's really hard for me to get anything to look show car worthy. After I learn, if it's as great as I think it is, I will never go back. 1300 bucks ain't shit, that's 10 hours of labor and proably doesnt include materials. Defently want to start learning the new better ways to do things

I just tried to use the use io wizard software, I found out it wont drop in easy on the 2500 if it's not updated. Mine's completely offline and wireless so i cant plan the new build with the PDM16. Hope they fix that soon. every other module l u can buy will buy drops in pre planning on io report software but this device wont. I have a 2500 , box a io , wideband, thermo coupler box a, multi gauge etc. so my system is full up

I am building a 78 jeep j10 pickup and I have been old school pretty much my whole life so you may have just changed my life. I am going to look into a pdm because the 78 is getting a 1000 hp stroked 6.0 ls and a 4l80 trans so an upgrade in tech compared to the turbo 400 and amc 360. I really like the idea of a pdm. I looked at the Haltech which ranges from 3700 ish to 4300 depending on pkg. what is the advantage of spending that 4k vs 1300 that you spent. obviously my application will be more of a daily driver setup than race. Thank you

Would it be goos to buy a pdm for a daily to make wiring simpler or a street car??

If you were to do it over again, would you still go with Haltech? Or would you go with a different brand? Would love to chat more about it.

@@ultimajp ... I have been wanting the Switch Pros 12 but not wanting to spend a $1000 bucks on it but after looking at some of these other units then I think they are the cheapest.

@Project ElectricEye I know PDM's are double or triple the cost. But the PDM32 is totally worth it. The options and customization is well worth the cost

@@ultimajp ... I'm needing to completely re-wire a 1958 Willys Wagon and I bought a Painless kit that will work but then I found out about pdm's and would like to add that instead of the kit that I have. I'm not doing a complete restore simply to keep that old school feel. I did buy 4 new gauges from Speed Hut but that's about the extent of upgrades that I want to do.

That's interesting 🤔 it has a second can bus signal. How does that work? Is it for like a piggyback system that you want to communicate through can bus but on a separate system for simplifying diagnosis if theirs an issue?

I have one hooked up directly to a can to USB adapter in the car that’s easy to access and plug the computer into.

Sometimes you also have device on different bus speeds, so you need to have these on separate canbus networks. Some canpads for example operate and speeds different than most popular ECUs
