But even in hard times we must choose to have faith. As christians that’s all we can do. No matter your struggle, we can turn to God. That heat in July plus a padded gambson under full mail armor (knights)and a helm… it was a slaughter. However King Richard was not a third stringer. He was a very capable warrior.
King Richard would never have let his forces go on that march in the dead of summer without anyway to support his army. Even the Saracens were surprised to know that the Franks were marching out to meet them as they usually very cautious and wary not to get trapped.

Yep. Richard Lionheart’s skill as a military leader was about the only reason the Third Crusade had the success it did. He was way more competent than the leadership in Latin Kingdom at that time.

Guy of Lusignan Crusader king of Jerusalem was warned not to venture far outside of the protective walls of Outremer, he initially agreed but was won over by the more aggressive lords after the council of war ended. Saladin was happy when he knew from his spies the Crusader army was marching to meet him, and he planned his ambush and battle accordingly. It was a utter disaster for the Crusaders, from which they never really recovered.

I have wondered at times if the Lord is not going to awaken the many dormant volcanoes in northern Israel (5 of which are around the Sea of Galilee) to bring fire and brimstone down on the invading armies of Ezekiel 38... there are also multiple dormant volcanoes in the Valley of Tears where the Yom Kippur war was won on the northern front.

It's always best to bring the original name, which is Karney Hittin, without the need for possibly wrong translation. And Karney Hittin, in ancient Hebrew, could mean possibly the horns of Hittin (as depicted here), but most probable it is the RAYS of hittin, meaning the rays of the wheat fields...
Sounds like there were Traitors in the Crusaders who disagreed with king of Jerusalem and preferred to allied with the Saladin king of the South
