Ngozi is astonishingly brilliant. My students all passed their Literature-in-English because of the love they feel for her when I was teaching the subject, especially "Purple Hibiscus"

reading book is my favorite way of getting to know a writer and his book, and for my first time I have used a CD. Americana on CD is fantastic, the accents, diversity of languages and emotions WAS LIKE A FILM...LOVE IT

Her work made me so interested in Nigeria. The culture, politics and made me care so deeply about stuff like right now in Nigeria, Biafrans have been experiencing genocide, systematic exclusion from jobs, education etc & want independence/become their own state. #FreeBiafra Also, her fro is SLAYING! >>>

I live in Nigeria and there is no genocide of any kind. Don't fall for the trick being played on people online by those posting images of almost any past conflict in Africa as what is going on in Nigeria.

Adichie is in a unique position to compare racial hierarchies in the United States with social effort in her native Nigeria. She does this in this new job with a ruthless honesty about the ugly and beautiful sides of both nations. The interviewer says "Its because the majority are black", as into why she did not have an identification with being black prior to living in the USA, And I would say No, It is because countries all over the World do not have the Racial divide as USA does. People in US think in black and White culturally and people who migrate although they weren't considered people of color where they came from the US indoctrination is that as soon as you arrive it is one of the first lessons you are given; that you are different than the majority white and that you should understand what your collective new identity is. It is all to do with cultural conditioning.

I decided to give it 1 minute and the white one says "hair" and the emotionally frail audience laughs????
