This may sound a bit strange but I have years of illustration descriptions of designs I never drew jotted down in my phone notes. This morning for some odd reason is the morning I stopped and took time to figure out what is it that I stand for in the fashion world. I worked behind the scenes in college stage plays as a dresser and I kept saying I wanted to be a costume assistant but I still couldn't nail it until years later this morning. I realize that I'm an illustrator who basically didn't know what was my role in the industry. I didn't understand anything except that I have a passion for fashion and designing. I started designing earrings and necklaces and selling on Poshmark or to family members but still there was something else much bigger about me that was pulling at my interest. I'm always visualizing many eye catching designs and I'm always recording my designs on paper as notes or I visualize how it would look on a model or customer but never have I thought to also draw out and show my work as artwork. Finally I realize that as an illustrator I'm able to draw my art pieces as well as design with my hands. Thank you for this inspiring video.
I am looking for the ultimate best paper for my new Copic Sketch 72 A's. So far I have seen the Bee Paper 11x14 on amazon.. or the bienfag sketchbook but they're mixed reviews. I want something that allows the Copics to lay down smooth and flawless with blending perfection and minimal bleeding/feathering. Anyone's help will be greatly appreciated!! xo
Because most models have long legs and drawing this way , it will be easier for the designers to create the whole thing- if u know what I mean, I can’t really explain that well.....it’s may be a rule tho as well
So good hearing about other illustrator's journeys!
