  • "Indian Economy Doing Incredibly Well" says World Economic Forum President | Vantage with Palki Sharma
    The world is living with two major wars, multiple conflicts, deepening divisions and global economic gloom and doom. Amid all of this India is the fastest-growing economy on track to become third largest economy in the world by the end of this decade. How did the country achieve this? Why is it able to buck the global trend of slowdowns? Is it policy decisions or larger geopolitical forces? Meanwhile, global agencies like the IMF and the World Bank have raised concerns over rising levels of debt - especially in the developing world. Will unsustainable debt deals pose a risk to the global economy? Catch Palki Sharma in an exclusive conversation with the President of the World Economic Forum Borge Brende.

    This issue has been discussed in great depth by various economists. The biggest problem is the ecosystem aspect for each or all Industries in India plus the need for India to continue to grow at 8% and above for at least the next decade.
    Although India must be running the main strategy like China: low labor salary + large labor force, but it seem will takes +10 years for India to catch up with China from the ecosystem aspect, so that any investor is interested in investing in India, will invest in India because the supporting industry is already available.
    In addition, it is possible for India's economic strength to catch up with China faster, if 2 main things happen: 1. China's economy continues to experience slowing growth in the next 10 years while India's economy continues to accelerate, 2. industries with high added value do not continue to emerge in China, such as the aircraft industry, electric cars, magnetic trains (maglev), artificial intelligence-based products, robotics, semi-conductors 5nm/above, entertainment, weapons / military, etc.
    This is also what makes the USA still able to compete with China, which is supported by added value from high-profit industries.

    • @izajahmed8863
      @izajahmed8863 Před měsícem +1

      Absolute rubbish, you just said the exact opposite....
      India will catch up with current china by 2075 given china stagnates from now on.
      Electric, train, nm do not continue to emerge from china? Then where is it coming from? Gujurat? 😂😂😂
      You are on fantasy land and have no idea about china manufacturing capacity. Do one things and go and see it in china for yourself then you will understand it. As someone who is working with chinese for 6 years, I have witnessed it very well. India is not going to catch up if it continues to do beef politics and stuff 😂😂😂

    • @user-em5wy8zx7o
      @user-em5wy8zx7o Před měsícem

      @@izajahmed8863 I used to go to China, not just to go to the Great Wall, but to their industrial centers, starting from Guangzhou, going down to Shenzhen, sliding into Shanghai, going down right to Heilongjiang, continuing up left to Beijing, all the way to the Mongolian border. Continue left all the way to Uighur. Then back towards Guangzhou.
      I have also said, the biggest problem is in the ecosystem, and in China's ability to produce goods that are in the high value-added category. I gave an example of how the USA, which no longer produces many of the goods that China now produces, can still compete with China because the USA produces goods with high added value. Selling 1 Boeing, is much higher than the turnover of dozens of shoe factories in Ningbo in 1 year.
      India now produces many European and USA cars, has also begun to produce heavy equipment, not to mention its generic pharmaceutical industry which has now ranked first in the world. So it's really a matter of which scenario will happen, depending on China, not India.
      Why? Because demographically with the largest population in the world today, India just needs to imitate a better version when China starts industrialization. In the past, no one believed that China would become the center of world economic growth.
      India, I think has that opportunity faster than many skeptic scenario, after China's population continues to decline, so the advantages in the aspect of labor wages have been reduced for China, and now only in the aspect of the ecosystem, where just 1 week we are at SEG Mall in Shenzhen, we have brought home our own brand cellphones with the specifications we want, with a low MOQ.

      @user-em5wy8zx7o Před měsícem

      @@biggpicture2930 Even if there will be a slight recession, etc. then it is not a sign of the collapse of the Indian economy, but a normal way of the market correcting prices in India. The way the market corrects the behavior of the rulers in India (e.g. for borrowing too much), etc. Similar things happen in other countries, including China. Eventually, once prices have been corrected to a fair price according to the market mechanism, then market conditions will eventually return to normal.
      Why? Because that's how the market works. Why? Because the citizens of India, China and any other country, will eventually keep spending (consumption), and consumption anywhere in the world represents about 50% of GDP.

    India consistently focuses on the future rather than the present. While the IMF and World Bank predict China will surpass the U.S. by 2028, they don't seem to be obsess over this projection the way India does. When contrasting India's outlook with China's, India's stance seems to be "Wait until 2047." However, when that year arrives, India will push the timeline further, saying, "Wait until 2095." The question then arises: what will be the next postponement when 2095 arrives?

    जीडीपी ग्रोथ अच्छी बात है, पर सच क्या है जिससे आम आदमी को फर्क पड़ता है?
    1) जीडीपी प्रति व्यक्ति मे 195 देशों में भारत 136 स्थान पर है
    2) 11 प्रतिशत लोग गरीबी रेखा के नीचे हैं। 125 देशों में 111 नंबर पर भारत है।
    3) अगर टॉपर से कंपेयर करें, तो 1947 में 1 अमेरिकन डॉलर 3 रुपए तीस पैसे का था, आज 82 रुपए का है।
    हां जनसंख्या बढ़ाने में भारत अव्वल है 😂
    भारत को इसलिए भाव मिल रहा है कि दुनिया जानती है इतनी पॉपुलेशन की वजह से खपत ज़्यादा है, मतलब दूसरे देशों को उनका समान बेचने के लिए भारत बहुत बड़ी मार्केट है।

    There are plenty of observers who would suggest many of the women who have achieved big things in sport have been obliged to work far harder than any comparable man. Radcliffe is a case in point. Her attention to detail in the way she goes about training, her diet and her mental conditioning have set standards men are having quickly to copy. And Sorenstam is the same - a golfer whose approach is matched by very few of the players on the men's tour.

In the sports that value determination, stamina and endurance above muscle, they stand almost on an equal footing. It is a revealing fact of swimming, for instance, that while over a thrash of say 50 metres there really is no contest, across the 22 miles of the English channel, women can cover the great divide just as quickly as men.

Were they anxious that history was under threat? Surely it can't be that they see women getting increasingly close to their performance and are keen to retain barriers to prevent a sudden surge of competition from the distaff side?

    Government should support and subsidise such programs.
    Not only the companies grow, inflation would also come down.
