In this updated tutorial, I will show you guys how to fix problems with WiiFlow or USBLoader GX! This include the Black Screen Error and the “requires at least cIOS 222 or 245-250”

absolute life saver, used this video a few years ago to sort issues with a modded wii i was having and find myself using it again today , completely resolved all the issues was having.

Cause Homebrew made the Wii into a powerhouse.. I had a Xbox 360 and I played my Homebrew Wii more.. it's truly the best console I ever owned..

@SuperLuigiEvan I argue the switch is worse homebrew wise. The switch cant play gamecube or wii games. now the wii u is better if want 1080p, but you cant use original gamecube controllers, and memory cards. tbh with the 480p adapter looks fine on wide screen. plus its super cheap

If anyone tries this and it doesnt work, make sure your CIOS 251 is installed as per techjames’ tutorial AND also try making your loader setting 58 instead of 249

Thanks so much! This got WiiFlow to work for me in 2022. USBLoaderGX and CFGLoader were working for me, but WiiFlow never did until now.

It finally works!!! Thank you!!!! What did was that I used WiiMod lite to install the wads and made a separate wad file for the wads. Now I can finally play Rhythm Heaven fever!!
Hey man, everything worked perfectly the only thing I did different was that I made a new Wads folder because I didn’t want to reinstall my previous wads apart from that everything works perfect I have been playing Skyward Sword a ton.

Changed to 249 and it worked. Loaded several Wii and GC games without the hard drive stopping and the black freeze. Sometimes it's just easier to reinstall it all! Thanks @Tech James

Welp... Just tried this out on the wad manager you provided, and it says "24 did not install" with a "Ticket-2011" text next to each single file as it was progressing... HELP PLEASE!

Also Can u please do a vid on adding channels to Wiiflow and the home menu? Like I see other peoples Wii's on here and there looking real clean but mines all over the shop. I've added sources from wads throup that Crap program but be good to have a nice clean setup after setting this stuff up.

Ive literally completed all of the steps and ive watched all your videos to do with this topic and completed the tasks and it still takes me back to the wii menu. I actually give up tbh lol

Hey, I need HELP, I can't install Wads on my Wii, it says "Final Status - 24 did not complete".

a warning to those trying to do this on vWii: this probably wont work and might brick your system, like it just did for me
Is there a way to fix the black screen for wiiflow vWii? Like I was able to get one of my games to boot up fine a few times but now I keep getting a black screen

@@ryangreenberg1187 Yeah i was able to figure it. I didn't get the cIOS stuff but i figured what i was doing wrong.
@@ryangreenberg1187 I just tried this and also bricked vWii. The solution to unbrick it was to download Mocha (custom firmware) and vWii Decaffeinator, and launch them both in that order using the Wii u browser exploit, using the light restore option and then do a system update.
Did you ever figure out a fix for your system brick?
Didn't work. USB loader still crashes when I load a game.
EDIT: I eventually figured out that if you are sure you’ve done everything right and the black screen still persists, your Wii probably doesn’t like the USB Drive you’re using. Your options are either to try a different USB drive and see if that works or to use Wiiflow instead of USB Loader GX because that loader allows you to play games off of an SD Card which are more reliable for use in wii hacking than usb drives.

TSM_HitmanJr1225 After I watched this, I asked some people on r/wiihacks about and it turns out the greater wii modding community sees this whole video as harmful and irrelevant. Try and look through some forums for the answer.

Ryan Ilopan Always use the official guides that the creators of Wii homebrew apps put on their websites. I ended up figuring out my problem was that my flash drive was just not compatible with wii homebrew software so I just copied my wbfs file to my SD card and ran the games through WiiFlow which allows SD card support and everything worked out fine.
Jude Cox I’m seeing a lot of issues with people trying to attemp this process if you know who made usbloader gx I would easily go that persons tutorial if they have one

For me it worked when i pressed left to selected a other ios then pressed on the same one and then installed it and it installed them. Try it.

Dude my problem is the IOS loader on Wii Wad Manager, For example IOS250 v4124 works on my Wii but on the other Wii, my IOS250 is stubbed. Help me out so I can download games on my Wii so (ticket 2011) doesn't pop up
Just in case anyone else is running into this freezing issue where you followed these tutorials correctly but everytime you would try getting a game off of your cd and onto your flash drive using either cleanrip or usbloader (I tried both and they would freeze at random percentages) on every single game cd... basically all you (might) have to do is get a different flash drive or sd card like I had a 116 gb flash drive (brand is Netac) but I decided to try out a different flash drive that was only 8 gb (Sandisk Cruzer Glide) and it loaded up the game first try with usb loader and im doing another on cleanrip but for whatever reason cleanrip takes an extra 20 minutes or so... idk why its so slow
Note: I did format the 116 gb sd card to both Fat32 and NTFS or whatever its called and neither worked so idk maybe that Netac flash drive is a fake one from wish or something someone gave it to me awhile back

This tutorial is for the Wii! NOT for the Wii U! you need different stuff special programmed for the wiiu

When you open up MMM, you need to scroll all the way down to change the ISO to either 249 or 250. Mine worked when I switched it to 250.

Finally someone with that game I have the same problem it stays black also does skyward sword and monster Hunter freezes when you press start to play I know I played them before and I recently re purchased a Wii and now they don't work so would this really be a real fix?

Help! It won't show any of the Wii games I have saved onto my USB Flash Drive. When I try to view Wii games, it says "USB Device not initialised. Switching to channel list mode".

I got error like my usb loader gx freezes when install my disc as my backup. Trying to backup ssbb
Sorry for copy pasting but here you go :
First download sysCheck HacksDen edition. Then open it and make a sysCheck. Eject the SD card. You will see a file named sysCheck.csv . Download ModMii by XFlak. Type "I Agree" then type SU. Drag and drop the sysCheck.csv you made earlier into the window. ModMii will automatically download everything you need. It will make a folder called COPY_TO_SD. Copy all the wads from the wads folder and then install all of them on the Wii with a Wad Manager. If it doesn't work then you need to update your cIOSes. You can update them with d2x cios installer. Hope I helped you!
P.S.: NEVER FOLLOW VIDEO TUTORIALS, AS THEY BECOME OUTDATED QUICKLY.
I can open USB Loader GX, but when I try to hover over a game, it crashes.
Mine works but only one game shows up. Everything else doesn't show up.
@Delarie Mine's working great now. Don't rename the file, because the ID code (idk what it's called) is in the file name.
Tech james, when i pick a game on the usb launcher, why does it crash my system? Im using pokepark for example. I downloaded the game in the software but when it reached 100%, nothing happened and i just reset it. What do i have to download for this to work?
Is there a work around for these wad managers crashing due to wiimote? I have tried using YAWMM to install the USB Loader GX and it crashes. I have some knock off wiimote and I don't know if it even has motion plus in it, but it also seems to disconnect constantly during any Homebrew installs.
Will this fix my game not loading and going to the wii home menu?

Nintendo Dude Maybe certain wii only work with certain methods.
Cause I have been modding my wii and my friends and I have to switch tutorials for them to end up with a working usb loader.

hi! so I accidently set the settings in usb loader gx on one of my games to force pal60 on my US wii and then it bricked, the safety message shows but after clicking A it's stuck on black screen. holding reset brings me to priiloader and bootmii is installed as IOS. when I go to bootmii and try to restore the wii with the NAND backup there is the error that bootmii could not be found and when I try to use the KONAMI code it gives me the hashimoto error halfway through... what should I do? I'm stuck

Using Preloader
This method obviously requires Preloader to be installed, and configured to boot something other than the System Menu. Simply boot a recovery program the way you would any other. if you have preloader installed, but it boots to the SystemMenu then try holding down reset when you turn on your Wii, after a few seconds of holding reset the preloader menu should appear.
make sure u use a 1GB or 2GB SD card, not SDHC this key in repairing the brick!!!

hey! are you open to questions even through this video is a bit old? i’m having a problem with my gamecube games showing up in gb loader. they show up just fine in wiiflow, and yes, the “show gc games” option is selected and i’ve tried to change the path several times. any ideas?

Hey James I been following you for a long time, and you're always the to go guy for this kind of stuff, so here it goes , the games work fine ....but I have a few exceptions,like Wario Smooth moves,Kirby return to Dreamland,monster Hunter tri, guitar Hero series,Zelda skyward sword Wii sports resort ....resort stays on black screen so does skyward sword and guitar hero , monster Hunter and Kirby you press start to begin the game and it freezes and Wario Smooth moves when you hit play it also freezes on the USB loader GX...can that package fix those isolated games?
All the games you just said I had the exact problem with, I don't know much about hacking, but I fixed Kirby's Return to Dreamland by just going to The USB Loader setting and putting the settings back to default.
Hey so I’m trying to launch games from the wad usb loader gx and my multi mod manager says I have all the iOS’ installed but when I try to launch a game from it, it goes to back to the home menu

My Wii Usb loader gx stopped recognizing my HDD. I tried everything for weeks. Then I read some comment that suggested that I just unplug the HDD and turn the Wii on/off until it registered again. IT WORKED!!! Check first if ur HDD is corrupted on your PC (this can happen when downloading cover art) if not try the unplug/replug on/off method. I know it's archaic but give it a shot

I was going down your "Jailbreaking a Wii" playlist and when I booted USBLoader in homebrew after putting the wbfs thumbdrive into my wii no games showed up (even though I'd gone through the process of putting a few on there). Did I miss a step?
