    Your torque value for the OEM engine bolts is 29.5 foot pounds, that’s why it came off with less than 30….It seems strangely loose but apparently that’s what it’s supposed to be. My TST frame sliders instructed me to tighten them down to 29.5 foot pounds and it seemed odd not to make it tighter, but TST said that’s correct. It’s odd but I suppose that’s how it is

    Hey, so I made the mistake of cranking on my bike before I can install the servo buddy. Excitement and curiosity got the best of me, I wanted to hear how awesome this thing sounds with no exhaust. Anyway I'm still waiting on my Servo Buddy to ship out, which I was waiting on so I can install it first before turning on my bike. Will the Servo Buddy truck the ECU into thinking there's no code and get that engine light off? I know the code will be stored now, which is what I was trying to avoid.

    I just bought the 2021 636 zx6r... This is an awesome video you posted. Answered every question about my exhaust and sliders... So I will be installing them soon. However, I do have one question. What is the purpose of the servo you tossed? Thanks for the video.

    • @StormtrooperRides
      @StormtrooperRides  Před 3 lety

      Congratulations on your new 636, that is one awesome bike! Also thank you very much for the comment and support. Those vids are quite painful to make. The servo unit actuates a butterfly valve in the stock exhaust to help manage emissions and is not really needed. If you take it out however and do nothing else it will throw an FI/Check Engine light. So I put in what is called a "Servo Buddy" which is just a plug in harness that fools the ECU into believing the servo is still there and running properly. Once you pull off that stock can there is no butterfly valve to actuate so you either pull it out and install the servo buddy or you might be able to get away with leaving it in and just disconnecting the cables but I figured I might as well save the 3/4-1lb of weight....so I removed it. thank you for the question Chris and hope you have a great time with your new bike!!! Grats again!

      Very good video and information, I am installing a slip on and going to remove the cables and servo. Cause that will be a great spot for my tool kit. Which sucks that the ZX6R doesn't come with one from the factory. I kept mine from my Ninja 400. No I didn't screw the next guy, low sided in a curve due to gravel and trash. Insurance company totaled the bike because it bent the front forks. You would be amazed what new plastics and forks cost. Plus, they were worried about the frame being bent

      There's basically 2 sound mufflers he took off (the one in the middle under the bike and the one on the side. It's probably super loud.. there's a bunch of slip-ons (sc project for example) that allow you to bolt it onto the middle sound muffler section (keeping that middle box) which would make it alot more reasonable. I prefer my bikes not being obnoxious, also becomes a cop magnet when you do it like this guy.

    Don’t waste your money on a servo buddy.
    Just remove the cables from it and leave the actual servo motor in the bike. Note: if you unplug the servo in the process, it will throw codes. To fix that issue, just take the leads off your battery and touch them together for 30 sec, then put it back on. The light will probably stay on at first, but don’t freak out I promise it will go away in a couple days maximum. (This worked for my 2019 ZX-6 and my new 2020 ZX-6)

      @@StormtrooperRides *Stormtrooper* Yes sir! Haha I will let you know what I think about the Zx6r. I'm actually in quite of a dilemma here. I'm choosing between the 2020 Ninja 650, and the 2020 Ninja Zx6r- leaning more towards the Zx6r after watching your review video about your wife's new Zx6r. I'm not going to lie, the orange and black scheme looks mighty fine, and I also like the KRT edition. You know what would be really great, if Kawasaki made a white and black colored scheme for the 2020 Zx6r.
      Thank you for taking your time to read and write back to me. Much appreciated, thank you.
      P.s. if your neighbor Walt's sneeze was heard through the video, very distinctively, his sneeze must sound monstrous in person hahaha!

      Sooooo yeahhhhh I opted out and went with the Nin650 KRT. The ZX6R is wayyyyy too intimidating for me. Some day when I am ready, I will go for it. I love my new bike by the way, so worth the trade up from the Z400 hands down.

    I’ve been looking all over for this orange 2020 zx6r. I’m willing to pay $10,000 if you’re interested
