  • Thanks so much for watching and for one of my viewers for giving me the idea to test this out! Great new way to apply it for those of you who love using a foundation brush instead of your hands!

    You have beautiful skin. I have tried lots of techniques to apply face and body and still find fingers the best.

      Awww thanks so much! Lots of work to get my skin to this point. Yes-I agree. Hands are still the best method

      You’re totally right. I find brushes and sponges just soak up the product. I drip or dot the product on my face and let the warmth of my face warm up the product (for about 20 seconds) and then I blend it out with my fingers until the slip is gone. It seems to give more coverage, I use less product, and it sets more quickly if I let it warm up and use my fingers to apply. So as not to waste time while I’m waiting for it to warm up, I pull out anything else I need for my face and brush my hair.

    Buying this just because of you, you also helped me pick the color because I'm #9 in the glossier tint.

    This makeup is co cool because you can also mix other makeup in with it for a slightly different finish or tint.

    I bought this in the colour the website recommended but it’s too pale :( I think my moisturiser is too heavy under it as it is more of an ointment and would explain why mine never dried down and stayed slippy 5 hours later.

    So glad to see this comparison on applications of the Face & Body. Right now it is my favorite "foundation" for face, alongside tinted moisturizers..I especially appreciate the tip about why a brush for this purpose must be dense. So I don't see the name of the brush in info box, and I was unable to get caps to work. I hope when you pass by here again you will tell us which brush you were using. Thanks again. (You mentioned it but I didnt understand you)

      No problem! It’s the ‘It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Foundation Brush’ www.itcosmetics.com/heavenly-luxe-bye-bye-foundation-brush-number-22/ITC_732.html

    Which sunscreen do you use under this? Great video!

    • @DanaRipperton
      @DanaRipperton  Před 4 lety +6

      Sunscreen is a little tricky with Mac F&B. It can’t be too greasy or F&B won’t set, so I tend to use either Purito Comfy Water (Korean mineral sunscreen that is AMAZING) or Biossannce’s mineral sunscreen. Also really great. If you use a chemical sunscreen I’d say you really need to give it time to sink in and not be “wet”.

    I have skin similar to urs and im trying to chose the correct shade. I can’t decide between n2 and n3, is n3 really dark? X

    • @DanaRipperton
      @DanaRipperton  Před 4 lety +2

      Not really. I think with these more sheer tints you can usually pull off more than one shade. Since you probably can’t go try it on in person right now, if you buy it, I’d buy it from somewhere that allows free/easy exchanges in case you don’t like the color. N3 can actually be a little light on me in the summer bc I tan easily

    How can I choose the concealer that won’t look “weird” with this foundation??

    • @DanaRipperton
      @DanaRipperton  Před 2 lety +1

      Not sure what you mean by this. I’ve never had an issue with concealers with this foundation

    • @missfofys
      @missfofys Před 2 lety

      @@DanaRipperton I'm brazilian and I wear a concealer that has a matte finish, kinda dry. So, whenever I use the foundation + this concealer, it gets really weird under my eyes: a dry aspect and sometimes it starts to crease and I can see the skin behind. That's why I asked, if there's some sort of type specific of concealer that goes best. I'm looking forward to buy the benefit cakeless BUT, I'm not sure.

    What is the best concealer for blemishes to pair with this foundation?

    • @DanaRipperton
      @DanaRipperton  Před 3 lety

      Hmm...that's a hard question since it really depends on what you like in a concealer. Most work well with it though

    Suggest me my shade, for neutral medium Indian skin

    • @DanaRipperton
      @DanaRipperton  Před 3 lety +1

      Sorry but the best thing is for you to go to a Mac store or somewhere that sells it. There’s absolutely no way I can suggest a good shade for you over the Internet 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • @Mynessly
    @Mynessly Před 4 lety +1

    What's your skin tone? Neutral? Because n3 is for neutral skintone

    • @DanaRipperton
      @DanaRipperton  Před 4 lety

      Yep! Mac Face and Body is preeeetttty sheer so even if my tone is a little different it still works. Obviously, do whatever you think is best, but I like the shade I have.
