Immediate disc golf street cred by pulling out a friggin skeeter!
I'm all about the skeeter life haha
About the white trees on hole 7: It used to be hole 3, and the basket used to be right around where those white trees are. The pad was probably 700 feet away, around a corner, down a tunnel. The trees at the end were the "dragon's teeth" and people were supposed to sign a white one if they birdied that tough par 5.
Huh, that's super fascinating! I would have never guessed that!
I'm a good limb/tree hitter on a normal basis so seeing you hit them really gives me the "it's not just me" feeling. Keeps me playing!!!!
We all do it haha!
Really love your videos. Especially these kind. As far as disc manufacturers, I agree. I think there are too many discs and not enough players. If you want to increase disc sales and revenue, draw in more new players rather than simply increasing your offerings to 10,000 different, mostly not different, disc choices.
I play in a local league. The veteran players don't carry that many discs and most of their discs are rather old. However, our league is growing and bringing in new players all the time, who need new discs, bags, etc..
New players is where the money is. Not in more discs
I could not agree more! Glad you are still enjoying the videos!
Coming that way for States this year, thank you for posting videos on all the courses for those of us that can't come play easily! I was trying to do a similar thing for the DGLO courses near me.
When is states ?
Glad to see you back at Leviathan. We did a lot of work to get it back into decent shape. More love coming to the course now that summer vacation is knocking on the door!
Love to hear it! The course has come a long way!
Love to hear it,
It seems like in my endeavors, opinions and criticisms are a dime a dozen, but volunteers willing to help cleanup courses are rare..
Thank you
My favorite course in the Ludington area is Whisky Hills. Wow is it hilly….
I'm thinking about going there!
That Rhyno is absolute MONEY for you.
It's a staple forsure !
I think the biggest reason people don't get new disc is the cost. Paying 30+ dollars for a disc is a lot when you can get similar discs for 15 dollars and even cheaper if used. I've never done a random disc tournament but it'd be a fun thing to try out. Hopefully I have at least one overstable disc or else I'll be throwing more backhand rollers by accident than birdies lol
They are definitely worth the try! Would be good roller practice haha
After round food? Gold Star Chili or Skyline Chili for me in Kentucky. Either that or Taco Tico. Now I'm hungry! Lol
After round chili haha that's a bold choice!
I Aced hole 8 short pad last summer!
Awesome man!
That was something of a George of the Jungle round
It was a lot that's forsure
Just played kingsleys "the bear den" and loved it! Its pure michigan woods golf
Oh yea, that will definitely get filmed at some point! I've been there a few times!
Some days it feels like a picked a disc with a tree magnet inside. Somehow I hit all the smallest branches that then LAUNCH my disc into the woods lol. I guess half the fun of disc golf is finding your disc!
It's only fun if you find it within 10 minutes haha

Nice Dunk!
Thank you!
Hell yes Mason County park is awesome! I went to Ludongton last September for my bachelors trip and unfortunately caught the AM State tourney so we couldn't hit Beast, but we found plenty of other great courses nearby
There is a ton up there! I think I've filmed 5 just in that area!
@@tossingplastic we played at this private course that I can't remember the name of, Acorn something. That was a surprisingly fun track if you've yet to film there!
@@johnwall1634 I was there filming yesterday!
@@tossingplastic yesss can't wait to tune in for the upload. Going to scour your MI playlist now to see if you've filmed any of the Midland/Saginaw courses 👀
1) Less durable plastic. Planned obsolescence. If discs go flippy faster, people will replace them faster.
2) More physics. In ball golf, the manufacturers were banned from making elongated dimples and a few other things because they were breaking the game. I suspect manufacturers will find some physics (a la MVP) to make discs fly better.
3) More player names on the discs.
I've been curious when disc's will get rolled back for being too efficient
This one looks like it has some good variety in the fairways! love the peza!
I also love peza
I think my best post round meal is some Little Easy!
That's a bold choice
I don't like the constant stream of new releases that seem to be most everywhere right now. That, combined with the crazy high prices we're starting to see ($30+ for the new General) makes it tough. There are lots of great discs already out there, so it doesn't seem like a lot of these new releases are needed. Though I say that as someone who bags the newish Brave after winning it in a tournament. I really can't recommend that one enough.
I'm a fan of the random disc tournaments. It gives folks a chance to try new plastic and see how they can adapt on the fly. Though that's as someone who ran one of those tournaments a couple months ago, so I'm biased lol.
They definitely can be fun and I have heard a lot of positive about that brave! What do you use it for?
A lot of discs aren't cheap these days, and there's been general inflation so I can understand if the market has pulled back a bit. I know my pace of purchasing has been dialed back lately.
Oh yea! I just have no desire to buy new plastic! I saw Ricky's new disc was $42 I think on the website!
H9 break: the market will dictate this. They wouldn’t be creating something new if it wasn’t expected to sell. If people chill out on buying ‘the new stuff’, disc manufacturers will adjust.
Will be interesting to see how it pans out
They need to make a Halo Skeeter. I said what I said
I disagree! Leave the skeeter alone lol
@@tossingplastic sigh, I love the DX skeeter buuuut I have to replace it when it gets too beat up. It’s a great “get out of jail free” disc but I wish it was the same plastic as my Piwakawaka.
@eljay11to1 you can get old star skeeters. Kinda hard to find but handle trees great! Mine is a star!
Your envy is flippy. What were you thinking on 15?
The envy just takes over sometimes haha
No one appreciates a remake 😔
Not usually no!
