- A little visit after a light snow dusting to the Peaks.
Parking up at Castleton Visitor Centre car park and making my way firstly for the stunning limestone valley of Cave Dale. Passing by Peveril Castle perched up on top of the hill as I headed up the thawing icy stream through the valley.
The snow got a little thicker underfoot the higher I got and was a proper whiteout as I made my way round towards Mam Tor.
A little climb up to the top of the ever busy Mam Tor and then it was for a gentle stroll along the ridge passing over Back Tor toward Lose Hill.
From there it was a quick drop off back into Castleton.

Brilliant video Anthony. Always a scenic walk, but the sprinkling of snow made it look even more impressive.
Thanks for your work on putting this vid up mate. Appreciated 👍 great views.
Thank you Tim 👍🏼
A great video, always beautiful to see the Peak District. I would have taken a 'dusting of snow' last weekend when we walked 15 km in about 8 inches of snow. It took us 5 hours! We were absolutely knackered.
Thanks Dan.
Haha very rare we get that much snow over here.
Great walk. Very dramatic. Was expecting an army of orcs to appear in the distance when you took to the drone. 😂
Haha now that would have been impressive 😂
Loved it.
Thanks Paul
