  • BROTHERS one-piece window kits eliminate your Chevrolet or GMC Pickups vent windows and give your truck the smooth appearance and smooth operation of one-piece glass. This special cut of glass on our 55-59 conversion allows for complete sealing around the window and easy roll-up or down operation. Our glass kit was painstakingly designed for easy installation and use. The glass is available in clear or tinted (check local and state laws regarding side window tint). Dave Welch is a classic truck Specialist and he's got plenty of tricks for nearly every project on your classic!

    Great video! Thank you for your explanation of all the pitfalls during this modification, I’ve broken the glass when setting the channel on the bottom. Sometimes, I don’t know my own strength! Just tap it! Not pound it!!

    Sorry, but I like my vent wing windows?! The engineers at the factory back then knew what they were doing. I like em! Especially when you don't have A/C!! Nice vid as always Dave!

    If you use the glass to form the window run channel the corners will come out cleaner. Recently found your channel, great stuff, keep up the good work.

    nice conversion to get rid of those leaky quarter windows
    a better way to form the curved corners on the bailey channel is use the glass and slowly bend it round the corners of the glass then it fits better into the corners of the door frame
    i've done this on a lot of early holdens here in australia that use the same channelling as you used in the video

    A trick for those Phillip's head screws is to use an impact screwdriver, the one that takes screw bits and you hit it with a hammer, you can get them from harbor freight or online and they work really good.

    Man it makes me nervous seeing that spinning blade without a guard a 1/2 from your fingers, I usually cut off about 1/2 of it, but leave the back of it....but great work and very informative as usual. I wish this could be done on my 62?

    3M Superfast Urethane Windshield Adhesive works a whole lot better for setting glass in the channel. Assemble it and trim the excess and you're done.

    I want the smoke glass version. Is there a left and right window due to the tint? Or is the tint actually in the glass. tks

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  Před 3 lety +1

      Tint is in the glass, no left and right, it's all the same. However, we are discontinuing the tinted glass soon so if you want some you better get it now while we still have it in stock. August 2021

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  Před 3 lety

      Our only suggestion would be to try and remove the inner panel and see if you can get to the latch actuating rod to pull on it. That should release the latch and you can proceed from there.
