    You should be asking for a raise David. Not my year of truck but good to know. Always appreciate your shows. Haven't watched TV in years and don't miss it. Thanks again you always do a good job.

    Don't get me wrong it's a great look, nice and clean but, boy do I appreciate those windows' ability to hook me up with a good breeze on the hotter days in my non-ac truck💨💨🥵

    I’ve had this kit sitting in my garage for like 2 years now. Dreading to install them cuz I know they’re a pain in the ass ... even tho I used to be an autoglass tech lol

      Alex, it's really not that difficult. Hardest part is setting the glass back into the sash.

    I like my wing windows, they make for some good conversation starters. But, I sure do like that one piece window conversion, I just might have to do it.

    My vent windows and tracks were to rusted for use. I found a Everbilt bi-fold door hardware set purchased from the local hardware store that worked for my front window tracks. Part # 360 570

    How sturdy is the window half way up. I tried one from another company not calling names. On a 85 K10 build . It was very sloppy and I wasn't impressed with the tracking of the window

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  Před rokem +1

      Stable as a factory window and tracks the same too. We know who you are talking about and that is EXACTLY why we designed our own kit. Our kit uses a factory style channel in the front of the glass instead of the "other guys" roller wheel type channel. The result is that the glass stays in the channel front AND rear regardless of how for up or down the window is, making it 100% stable top to bottom.

    Awesome video. Can you do one using the power window version and how to trim the stop?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  Před 3 lety +1

      Ruben, since the power version of our kit is a scissor lift like the original regulator, there is no difference between this install and a power version install. We do have a video showing how to convert to power regulators here: czcams.com/video/RvwYsAHU4Io/video.html

    My glass gets stuck on the door whiskers? Not sure what I did wrong but it’s super hard to roll my windows up and down. Not power. Any help would be much appreciated. I love the look but just that issue is killing me. Thanks in advance

    At the 13:00 min mark how is this section weather proofed ? It doesn't appear to have a gasket ...run a bead of silicone?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  Před rokem

      You could run a bead if you wanted, but this "triangle" sets into the door just like the vent assembly did and that also didn't have any type of seal to the door frame.

  • @CK-ky2pz
    @CK-ky2pz Před 2 lety +1

    Maybe I missed it but when you installed the rear channel you said to align the hole in the aluminum adapter with the third hole in the door but you said nothing about the top of the channel. There's a hole in the channel that aligns with a hole in the door located near the top of the door. Should that be bolted down? If so, the channel interferes with the door latch. Should it be spaced out there as it was on the original channel before the bracket was cut off? A little clarification please. Thanks

    Ditch the wing? Sacrelige, along with losing the ashtrays. No, I don't want the smell of cigarette smoke in my ride, but those are period pieces and they go together like bread and butter. You see... when the ashtray got full on the road, you had to use the use the wing until your next stop. I know its silly, but it is pure Americana.
