Venus, bitiyaji, I would be happy to talk about my nanaji, late HARIHAR PUNDITH telling me about his family’s involvement in Sharda language and Sanskrit . He left the region when his family moved to Calcutta to work for British 1874, LATER HE JUMPED SHIP and landed in FIJI at the age of 16.i live in Australia but have been trying to find these connections.

Adi Shankara was already an enlightened being when he set off his journey from Kerala at the tender age of eight. His Nirvana Saktam which he recited when he met his Guru Sri Gowdapatha, itself is the telling evidence of a realised Atma.
@@vish2553 Had he been so realised , Adi shankara would not have avoided the chandala (Bhagwan Shankar) at the ghats of Kashi .Bhagwan Shankar appeared to dispel his ignorance asking " to whom you want to avoid , the chandala or the imperishable one within ". Adi shankara was a genius who brought Budhists to their knees & revived sanatana. Kashmir's greatness can be known at sringeri mut ( karnataka). Pl. don't take affront. Go through Lal ded's VAKHS , Abhinavgupt's Tantra shastra etc.
Have you heard of “Ayam Atma Brahma”? If it is so what does realized Atma mean. Before making comments on such issues, it is better to understand it. Any one here making comments on AdiShankara, should check their own authority to make such a comment.

This guest has a wealth of knowledge that needs to be heard by the world. How much knowledge the world has lost and now they came up with a British era schooling system based life that promotes 9-6 jobs and look at what USA UK Canada and Europe are facing - economy that’s collapsing , drugs mafia , pharmaceutical mafia, banking and insurance mafia, weapons export mafia, homelessness , inflation that’s uncontrolled for several years from 2008 subprime loan crisis of USA , too much materialism, left and nationalist divide, uncontrolled immigration used by USA UK Canada Europe to fix issues the same countries caused by promoting war in developing world.
In Kerala even today there are many Namboodiri Brahmins who can recite Vedas from memory. It is recited with hast mudras. By showing the hast mudras many can understand which sookta to recite.

Kashmiree Shaivism, has got very special consideration, among Sanskrit Scholars ! Their contribution, to all branches of Sanskrit Shastras , is gigantic ! Their thought on all these branches, is original, and not borrowing from the other Sanskrit Scholars is truly praiseworthy ! Very special indeed ! The ignorance about their contributions have been tremendous and self-ruining ! The egoistic nature, deep rooted in self-admiring shallow people said to be basic reason ! Very earliest one has to take very urgently some healthy actions for this treasure ! Many manuscripts may have been destroyed by Hindoo enemies; but whatever has remained, let us start working on it very speedily !

Excellent narration of our past literatures. Very few people have such high knowledge on Kashmir's ancient Sanskrit literature. It's very sad to lose so many sacred texts. Really indebted to Ms Venus for narrating in detail our past knowledge.
It’s a shame that Nehru-Gandhi dynasty did not promote Samskrutam. It’s high time the present powers in Bharat start promoting Samskrutam. This will help us learn the vast literature this great language has and make us learn our roots and Samskruti.

It’s high time to create a framework to preserve our few existing remnants of our erstwhile glorious culture & heritage. Even in our own family there was huge collection of manuscripts written in dried palm leaves well kept which were no more available now. Nobody can explain what really happened. Our forefathers have attached so much importance to knowledge acquisition above all and they documented everything but the invaders and western culture has done real harm and a collective revival in the need of the moment . Let us atleast teach our next generations these values

Due to muslim invasions Lakhs of people from Gujrat including maharashtra moved to hilly regions in northern india including kashmir and Uttarakhand and many of them were rulers in these hilly regions chandra vanshi, pawars etc you will find complete history in उत्तराखण्ड का इतिहास by dabral. I have many volumes. He is no more but he was based in dugadda in Uttarakhand.

Kashmir was the land of Maharishi Kasyapa, Panini and many luminaries… around 8th century Adi Shankar walked all the way from Kerala to Kashmir to spread knowledge and rejuvenate Hinduism, .. everything was fine until the Barbarians started destroying it since 13th century 😮

Our Ancient Universities were destroyed during the Islamic Invasions which happened a 1000 years ago. Before that, Gandhara and Takshashila were also destroyed during the Hunnic Invasions, namely the Alchon Huns or the Hunas as we called them. The Hunas who destroyed those Sites were eventually defeated by Yashodharman of Malwa, and Narasimhagupta, one of the last Gupta Emperors.

While West has got it's knowledge from our scriptures and manuscripts and still secretly researching, we Indians look down upon our own knowledge systems as old un-scientific and superstitious and have been running after the West and pay millions for what our ancestors already knew and also wait for West's approval for everything. Physical defeat is not the real defeat but mental defeat is the real one which Indians have already been done with. Can we bounce back? only time will tell.
