3 Lightning Fast Norfolk Southern Trains! 2nd Train Is Must See Crossing Bridge Over CSX Main Line!

- Fast trains on Norfolk Southern main lines! Which train is the fastest? A long train goes around the shoo-fly in Richwood, Kentucky, then the big steel railroad bridge over CSX gets a fast train. 4 locomotives pull a fast mixed freight train past a giant pile of tie plates in Lucasville, Ohio. Which train is the fastest and how fast are they going? Leave comments below so I can see what you think. I don't care if you say the 4th train is the fastest. Lol. That train is in Ohio on the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad CCET. I threw it in since I had never posted that video and when I was filming the animals for this video at my farm, I heard the train approaching Mount Orab in the distance. Everyone seems to love the shoo fly in Richwood , Kentucky so I put it in this video. You can see the train flying around the construction site on the temporary track ( shoo-fly ) as construction continues. This is a huge project because the entire interchange and area with Interstate I-75 is being redone. This project is only a couple miles north of the railroad bridge in this video that goes over the CSX Short Line from Louisville to Cincinnati. The train in Lucasville is on the Norfolk Southern main that runs between Columbus, Ohio and Portsmouth, Ohio. The train is heading north which is railroad west. Let me know if you like fast trains because I know of a few spots that are pretty awesome and they get fast trains. Filmed October 14, 2021 although the animals were filmed on October 18, 2021.
Thanks for watching!

@@JawTooth very much sir
amazing videos jaw tooth keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do! Thanks for being first person to comment
This live action is so much better than dead action. #2 was really booking across the bridge.nice video thank you.
Thank you for documenting these trains, Jaw Tooth! My guess is that the maximum track speed on Norfolk Soutern trackage is similar to the maximum speed on CSX. That would mean that the max speed would be 60 MPH on freight trains. I doubt that any of the trains in this video were going that fast though. I am glad that you were back at the shoo fly in Richwood, Kentucky. It realy does not look like they have done much since the last time you were there. From the looks of the equipment on top of the bridge, I would guess that they are pouring concrete on the bridge deck that will carry the Norfolk Southern over the highway. Hopefully we will see more progress the next time you swing by this construction site.
Thanks for all your hard work!
My pleasure!
❤️
Seem like fifty to me.... Love the animals in your yard, and man that kitty is getting big, Love your dogs too.
Those big GEs at track speed through the bridge is 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hey Brian! Great job doing the crystal clear videos! Very nice to see and the sound is great too! Big thumbs up 👍
You're correct! Those suckers were hauling.
Those presents should make it to Santa before Christmas.
Love that trestle shot.
Take care.
Thanks Chester!
Wow!; Those trains were like the Indy five hundred !! They're the fastest frieghts ever! Beautiful scenery, ten thumbs up,thanks jaw tooth!💯👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What's with the striped shirt in Lucasville? Are you trying to fit in? LOL
Keep the videos coming, son! Love those NS hotshots.
You've made my day w a video of NS w the HAMMER DOWN! That SHOEFLY is an awesome place to catch a train especially when they're going atleast 50mph! Thanks for sharing as always JT.
Nice bridge shot, love them IM's .
Cool train video.
Thanks Ethan!
Great video as always Jawtooth!!
Thanks!
Today trains is very exciting . Thank you .
Imagine, 3 three engine consists in one day! First train @ 40-45 mph. 2nd train @ 35-40-ish mph. 3rd train @ 45-55 mph! All were bookin’ it!
Think the kitten wanted your help getting down. 🤷🏻♂️ Thank You JT for keeping the scanner on to hear them talking! 👍🏻
That last train had 4 with thier foot to the floor.
I sure enjoy hearing the automated defects report. Thanks JT.
More to come!
@@JawTooth Looking forward to those defect detector reports Brian. 😎🤠👍👌😷
Another fine video JT! Love the trestles 😊
Thanks 👍
The shot of the old trestle bridges is very similar to the old ones that spans the Maumee river in Defiance, Ohio. Its a long one, ( 4 spans over the river, and one at the rivers edge). It had been built before 1919 and run by the Wabash Railroad years ago. Its still run a hundred years later by the short line ND&W. I wonder who built all those old bridges? It points to a time when made in America meant something, by hand long since past. Love the old trestles.
Awesome live ShooFly action, JT. 3 whole trains stuffed in this one. Gave you a big thumbs up!!
Thanks a bunch!
Great little vid Son ...🚂🚂🚂🎸🎸🎸👍👍👍 Chessie having corn on the cob ...😂😂😂
Glad you enjoyed it Eddy! That corn came from the field next to my farm
Ah, yet another excellent video there son!
Great trains great video thanks. Chris from England
Hello and thanks Chris!
Yes, they were bookin’. At least 50; maybe 60. Nothing more exciting than fast freight. Excellent locations, too. Alas, the goats won my heart. And Chessie and Norfie. Still waiting for a lick on the Explorer! Keep ‘em coming, JT!
Hi Jaw Tooth - UK in the house again! I have to say that the first train certainly was flying through the shoo-fly. Nice video and another top and tail for us Brits :)
I don’t understand why anyone would give you a thumbs down on any of your videos. You go out of your way to make rail fans happy. Unbelievable. 👍🏻🚂🐕🐈
Well said! They probably get jealous but they don't realize that a thumbs down counts the same as a thumbs up for the algorithm. Any activity is good for the video. Thanks for watching and commenting Anthony!
I think it makes animal lovers happy too, if your both its a bonus alround!!
😄😄😸👍👌
Wow, that train was bookin’ it!
Haulin butt! lol
But wait there's more!
Flying around the Shoo-fly, that train had a lot of bad wheels, lot of flat spots… so many fast trains I could almost feel the wind !!
Another great video !! “But wait these’s more” 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching Pete!
Chessie having corn = Corn dog... lol. love this episode of fast trains there, son.
Cool, thanks!
Corn...dog... OK...THAT was sad. Wait. :P :P :P :P
777Timberwolf-That's a joke, I say, that's a joke, son. (Foghorn Leghorn impersonating Senator Claghorn).
@@kevinmiller6380 Oh, GREAT. You "Had to" start... czcams.com/video/QCXQWHzusb8/video.html

The last time I seen a NS train hauling the bacon like that was up
in Elkhart Indiana!! That bridge was
a nice catch JT!!!!!
Jawtooth! I Know EXACTLY Where You Were! My Fiancee Lives In Walton, Right Off Route 25. I Know Where That Construction Zone Is Too! Seems Like They've Been Working On That Road Forever! I Really Love Your Train Videos. Keep It Rollin', Son!
Oh wow! That is cool. I like that area. I was in Crittenden yesterday. I want to film all those towns along that line
Should be renamed the running shoe fly ! Man that train was moving at some speed ! That skew bridge was a nice find plus another huge intermodal -your spoiling Jawtooth !!
Regards
Another great video, but then they all are. Hubby and I really enjoy watching them. You seem to have a lot of fun doing your filming. Kitty definitely had its.motor running. That was a great purr! We also enjoy your talks about the old buildings and different things about all these little communities!
Loved the really fast trains !!!! Very cool video!!! I especially enjoyed seeing all the sweet animals!!! You are a good person!!! Thx for the train action !!!
Great video Jawtooth! I can't believe how fast those trains travel through the Shoo Fly! That trestle is really cool! I bet Norfie and Chessie is mouse hunting in the barn! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome videos. You could definitely hear the kitten pur really loud
It is really something how those tracks can support all that weight and speed even!
I sure love the sound of them emds running at high RPMs thank you another good one keep them coming brother
Great video jawtooth loved the live action trains those trains were pretty fast
Great Report! I liked a lot those fast trains also Chessie & Norfy time! ThNk you very much Mr. Jaw Tooth!
Glad you enjoyed!
Good video jawtooth wow definitely fast moving trains
Wow that train was flying down that track. And I love this area too. And in the bonus I also love NS's horn. I don't know what kind it is, so I call it two-tone. Have a nice day Jaw Tooth 😊☀️
Yes I can hear that purring alright.
I think Norfie is looking for a place to sleep between meals.
Those Cincinnati East trains are very short.
If the lead loco gets lost, he can ask the trailing loco for directions.
The preceding train with four loco's up front made up for no DPU'S.
Thanks for the D.O.D.T's, I feel up to date now.😎🤠👍👌😷
yeah they're booking it and saying "Time is Money!" they're not wasting anytime to get to their Location!
Hauling butt! lol
@@JawTooth yeah they sure were!
@@JawTooth Yup!
What are the names of the brown and black dogs??
I enjoyed the goats & sheep. Thanks.
Good Morning Jaw Tooth!
Good morning!
Love the classic skewed American Railroad truss bridge, thank you for another great video son !
Thanks for watching
That cat is going to turn out to be the sweetest dog of all.
You have two of my favorite things on this video, trains and all the animals. Very cool.
Awesome Job Jaw Tooth! I’ve been watching your videos since I was about 5 years old so almost 6 years now! Your videos have always been so informative on the Ohio area. Keep up the awesome work man!
Awesome video JT. I love the fact you are a Man of God! Keep 'em coming!

About 2 years ago I saw an NS train go over that bridge as a CSX train went under at the same time.
Was it my video? I have one like that. I also filmed the NS OCS go over the bridge
@@JawTooth I saw the 2 trains in person on US 25.
Great captures of some cool trains. That trestle the second train came through was really cool. They were all hauling it. Bet those goats are a handful for your neighbor. They are cute but ornery critters. The 4K is awesome. Sure heard Norfie purring. She is a little pistol. The dogs are great too.
My neighbor actually eats them. He has a lot of them and sheep also
That is cool that they raise their own meat.
Great job
Enjoy your videos
You seem to have the best luck setting up.... and a train comes along! May be just coincidence but...
Man what did they have in those containers; ass? That sure seemed to be what they were hauling. Thanks for the film JT.
Awesome video Jaw Tooth watching now and enjoying it 😁👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌😎❤️ awesome video Jaw Tooth
Great catch with the fast trains. I’d say around 60 mph.
Thanks for the share JT. Question, i noticed that on some trains the last car with the red light, some are on and mostly arn't on. are they switched by the brake air line? and why if a safety feature why arn't they on. Hit that like button folks! on to the next one.
There are three types of EDT devices and they all flesh red.
They are required to be lit at night or anytime there is poor visability
@@JawTooth thanks for the answer.....now I know & learned something.
I know that if the battery is not charged completely the light goes out. That is a safety device that monitors the train length. The FRED and MARY will stop the train if a knuckle should fail based on if the battery is charged.
I love your animals! The neighbor’s goats clearing the grass and brush was a super addition! I could almost feel the breeze from the “hot” train! The train horn from Mt. Orab was ethereal! Loved this video!
Are they building the underpass because there was/is a lot of truck traffic on the main road? Always a good time to see a train go around the shoo fly! Thanks JT!
If I recall correctly, mr tooth said somewhere along there was a dangerous crossing for vehicles
Yes they are because of all the traffic and how dangerous it was. There were several crosses there at the crossing. Busy place for traffic and trains
BUEN DIA JAW GRANDES Y MUY BUENOS TRENES HOY NOS ENTREGO,GRACIAS Y BENDICIONES.
Thanks for watching my videos! I appreciate your support
50 pushing 60 mph. NS has a bonus for making the yard ahead of schedule?
Great video my friend. like.😉👍❤!!! Greetings!
Nice video today. Thank you. 👍😊🇺🇸
Thank you too!
Great video. Awesome aggressive speed. Wish you could mount your recoding device up higher than the construction stuff.
Not a good night for counting. Too many camera view changes. for me. Oh well. Got the last one. Norfy loves people and I heard her purring!! Loved the dogs and the goats. Thanks, Brian.
Great captures of all the trains. Besides Chessie, what are the names of the other 2 dogs you have?
Kittens are the best cobweb cleaners. They seem to always find the places you never cleaned out.
Trains rock. Thank you
Thank you too!
Another fun video. I loved the mix of locations, especially the truss bridge.
Man that first train was bookin and that second was definitely bookin awesome video jawtooth hopefully one day I can catch one on the most used track in the country in texas and tag you in it
Love the bird painting, great video!
Surprising that the train goes through the curves and construction area so fast. Seems like they should slow it down for safety.
Those intermodal trains are much more stable than general freight trains
Lol we use the term track speed.lol
And jaw tooth and that's cool train video it was booking what's the hurry sit wit for another ❤😊
That was incredibly awesome to see it go over a bridge. Great video Jaw Tooth!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome video. That train was flying.
Great video JT👍🏼. I believe that was an SD70acc leading the first one, when those units were rebuilt they were rated at 4,500hp but I think they detuned them down to 4,300. Thanks for posting, keep up the good work💪🏼😎🇺🇸
Just changing the injectors in a Diesel engine will change the rated horsepower. Easy change
Yes I can hear her purring. It also sounded like pigeons in the background. I feed a lot of chickens, pigs, cattle, horses, and fish using one of those corn shellers.
That was sure a noisy track joint at 11:00, in the middle of a siding for no reason... Hmm.
The Norfolk Southern (NS) Shoo-Fly Section that keeps on giving you solid content in this area. 👍
That's very cool, I wish we had big trains like that in my neck of the woods!
keep up the good job your video,s are cool
Jaw Tooth, you need a radar gun to check on these trains speed.
Wonder if there's a radar app that would work with phone cameras now?
Track speed we can only max out at 60 mph
It is cool to see NS 1010 in your neck of the woods. I just saw it 2 weeks ago here in Savannah, GA NS yard, where it meets up with CSX, Genesee and Wyoming and Amtrak diamonds.
Cool!
Great “threefer” live action👍🏼👍🏼
Third train did appear to be the fastest.
Another enjoyable video. Thsnk you.
more outstanding work JT

Wow !!! Video is amazing in 4K. Trains in a hurry for sure.
Great video as always I Love watching the Norfolk Southern trains. Use to be a NS line by my house, tracks are still there and active, but ran by a local short line railway now, that's operated by Gennessee and Wyoming now. Might see a train every couple of weeks on this end of the line. The other end of the line is fairly busy.
Glad you enjoyed it! That sounds just like the NS line near me. The train comes through here a few times a week by CCET
Yes for several years it was ran by a small shortline railway company. Then Gennessee and Wyoming leased the line and took control of the line. They run 45 miles of track, but the first 20 something miles of it is the most ran part of the track. The rest of the line only has one industry on it that uses 1-2 cars a month and the line past that is mostly used for car storage.
Haha, kittie wants some mice to go with that bologna !
Thanks for the great video: the african drums cadence as usual.
Fantastic video. 4K is extra sharp.
Thanks! 👍
that train goin over da bridge goin probably 70....i am 1 block away from high traffic staging area 28 - 30 miles west of downtown Chicago : Union Pacific CSX N/S all go through here. last year a long pull came through had 9 engines, i still dont know what that was about. Thanks again JT
Shoo fly don't bother me... is that what they said years ago? :) Yes the second train was moving right along :) I wouldn't mind a ride on it or the last train. Speed is good! Nice goats :)
I agree with you. I would love to ride one of those trains
Good nice made video, mr Jaw Tooth.
Hoe long they working now on the diveunder on the shoo fly. The first train ride about 80mp/h. And from the 3 trains was this the fastest.
Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
The sound quality on your new camera is much much better. So is the picture.
I believe the second stack train was going around 40 MPH also. I suspect that both the sho fly and the bridge have speed restrictions of 40 MPH on them.
Wow awesome footage always
