In this episode, the story begins at the Jordan home on a late summer night. Albert Jordan is asleep and is having a nightmare in which his mother-in-law torments and taunts him. Louise awakens him to ease his nightmare and warns him to please be quiet because his mother-in-law needs a good night's sleep for her trip tomorrow.
13. (0:57:24) “No One On The Line” - Written by Robert A Arthur and David Kogan - Starring: James Van Dyke, Mary Jane Higby, Jack Manning, Ted Osborne, Maurice Tarplin, Doc Whipple (organist) - September 1, 1946.
In this episode, Harvey, a self made businessman is smoking a cigar and reading the newspaper, while his wife Linda, reads a book. It's quite a picture of peaceful domesticity, until the telephone rings. Harvey answers, and hears the click as someone replaces the handset when they hear his voice.
14. (1:27:24) “The Symphony Of Death” - Written by David Kogan - Starring: Inge Adams, Eric Dressler. Russ Dunbar (announcer), Hester Sondergaard, Maurice Tarplin, Ann Teaman, Doc Whipple (organist), Martin Wolfson - September 8, 1946.
In this episode, shortly after a composer buys three tombstones for his sisters, all three die of “unfortunate” accidents.
15. (1:56:22) “If You Believe” - Written by Robert A Arthur and David Kogan - Starring: Maurice Tarplin - December 29, 1946.
In this episode, a horrifying story about a man-made blob of protoplasm that turns into a monster.

The Mysterious Traveler was an anthology radio series, a magazine, and a comic book. All three featured stories which ran the gamut from fantasy and science fiction to straight crime dramas of mystery and suspense.
Written and directed by Robert Arthur and David Kogan, the radio series was sponsored by Adam Hats and began on the Mutual Broadcasting System, December 5, 1943. The show continued in many different time slots until September 16, 1952. During its run 370 Mysterious Traveler episodes were produced, only 75 of the originals still exist today.
Cast members included Jackson Beck, Lon Clark, Roger DeKoven, Elspeth Eric, Wendell Holmes, Bill Johnstone, Joseph Julian, Jan Miner, Santos Ortega, Bryna Raeburn, Frank Readick, Luis van Rooten, Ann Shepherd, Lawson Zerbe and Bill Zuckert. Sound effects were by Jack Amrhein, Jim Goode, Ron Harper, Walt McDonough and Al Schaffer.

In Murder goes Free the son needs to learn a lesson and marry the woman
and lose his money to her and then go to his father for forgiveness and
have his father beat the crap out of him that would make a better ending
and then have the bank stop the money from going to the woman and
have her thrown into a dungeon and beat the heck out of her....
