I think a great throwback video would be a raw driving video or taking it on an autocross day or even a date with Victoria.

Besides the fact that I saw this car first when I found your channel, back in my young teen years, this car’s design is arguably one of my fav. Hatchbacks are sick, and I’m stoked to see another CZcamsr build one
This made me tear up. I just recently sold my 08 hatchback wrx that I had for 5 years and traded for a 2020 sti. I found your channel because it was my first manual car and I found your manual tutorial video in your hatchback and have been watching you ever since. I went through my highschool years in that car and needless to say it was a rough time, but I loved that car and feel so emotionally attached to it. Cars are funny like that, a big box of metal can mean so much to you.
Just the thumbnail alone made me smile so big and get so happy. That car is all you man and like many others, it was a big part of why I started watching you. Back then you obviously had a lot going on and didn’t know as much as you do now. Now that you have it back, you can do what you want and need to do with confidence and being financially able. Keep this car forever man. That car is literally all you.
Context: I'm not a Even Shanks regular viewer and pop in from time to time & as a '21 STI owner and knowing the connection I have with my car, I can somewhat feel what Evan is going through. I can tell he's holding back a lot of emotions during a business deal. That STI rumble is something special and it's also my first car that I got back into after 20 years of leaving the car scene to focus on education, saving for a home and having 2 beautiful kids. Fast forward to 2021 - got the STI and back into the car scene and loving here. Subaru scene in Canada is amazing
I can relate man. I know not an sti but I had purchased a 2016 wrx back in April of 2016. I sold it to a guy locally since I had 5 cars and didn’t drive it much and the value was almost what I paid for it when new. So I sold it make that money work for me instead of existing in a car. I told the guy if he ever wanted to sell it to give me a call and I’ll buy it back. Now fast forward 6 months, I sold everything since they were projects I bought for cheap, fixed, and made money on. I miss that wrx! Called it ole blue 😢
@@Trex6767 someone just hit me in my 2013 wrx a couple hours back and i miss it already. i'm like 80% sure it's totaled and not sure what i'm gonna do. i loved it so much and just replaced the clutch.

I can totally relate to the hatred for owning one. Got mine at 17 in my senior year of Highschool (11 wrx) and heard non stop mommy and daddy’s money even from the girl I was with at the time despite me literally working my ass off to be able to get it. Got an incredible job about a year after graduating and built the car. Unfortunately blew it up last year in the spring and regretfully sold it as I thought I had more desire to focus on my 5.0. Hope to one day be able to buy back the car or atleast find a clean 11-14 sedan sti and re build where I had it. Sometimes you just have to make choices you think are best then and find a way back in the future, glad to see this car back!
Hopeful you get it back I had a bugeye sti when I was 19 at uni and got nothing but hate still have it today and am 26 now, get nothing but praise about it nowadays 😅

Im so happy for you man! I've learned so much from your STI videos! I've learned manual, I've learned the ins and outs of them cause I watched them when I got my first STI. I actually almost bought the same exact STI as you but it was 3 years newer and built. You've come so far since you had that car. That car is so important to you and Victoria. No one but you guys deserve to own this.

Me and my dad RIP went to Texas to get and had some an amazing adventure. It took me about 2 years to finally sell this car.

This is solid proof that cars can hold a lot of sentimental value for some people. You become attached to them,take care of them,make memories with them and experience new adventures. And they do help you through tough times,2020 was the worst year of my life as a friend I dearly cared about left me without trying to say goodbye or wanting to see me anymore. I’ve never felt such pain and anger in my life,my mom knew I was devastated and took me for a ride in my 2019 Wrx to make me feel better,and it worked. As I’m sitting in the car,a song came on and it felt like it was telling me that everything would be ok and that I would get through this. To this day I still love that Subaru,it will always be there for me when I need some therapy or some alone time. I’m glad to see you back in the car Evan and your advice has inspired me to be myself regardless. Thank you ❤

Excited for the build but I love the stock body and stance. I’m all for big turbo and such but I think rather than a wide body keep it similar to how it is now. I’ve always love it’s track like setup

Im so great full to have come across your channel after all this time. I can genuinely say that you are by far the most influential, inspirational, successful CZcamsr I have ever watched. The way that life hits you with wrecking balls and you still manage to turn that camera on and give a positive vibe but can turn negative vibes/talks right into something positive. This is amazing. Personally, I would leave it as is and enjoy it. Repair, fix, replace anything that needs it inside and out but keep the exterior look the same. Make the car as close to 100% as it realistically can be and enjoy it for what memories it gave you in the past. I don't see the appeal of doing a ton of extra stuff to it but rather keep it, enjoy it, and maybe some day you can hand it down to your kid as their first car. 🙂
This video honestly brings me so much happiness to see. I have a 2018 WRX that me and my dad found and got for me last year, and something about it is just so special. Sure it’s not the fastest, most expensive, or craziest in the world, but in the span of one year I already have made so many memories with it. Memories I’ll never forget. And what’s even more special is that the car world has grown into such an accepting place that you can modify a car however you please and they’ll all be special for a different reason. Seeing Evan bring his subie back home reminded me that no matter how far you grow in life and how much you accomplish, sometimes the best things in life have been there from day one. Even seeing Victoria emotional just shows that that car played such a role in both their lives it’s heart warming to see. Evan, you truly do inspire me to do anything I can think of, and I hope someday I can accomplish the things you have. The very first video I watched on your channel just before I subscribed was the one where you were teaching your viewers how to operate a manual car in this STi.. to this day, that video had made the most impact on me with learning to drive a manual.. Not only was it emotional seeing your subie again but also bringing back my own memories from that chapter of my life. Where i only felt at peace with cars and that’s passion came from you. I feel this, I have people tell me to sell my truck (my first vehicle I ever bought) to buy something bigger and better. But the don't understand how much that vehicle has been there. With that being said I think you should pick up the story where it left off and build it the way you wanted all the in between time of the car being gone and coming back was part of your story of this car specifically it's time to continue the story!!!
Although I would understand if you left it the way it is and just touched it up as it's also a piece of your history to show where you started to being successful in being where you are now. Either way I'm very happy to see this car back!!!

I first encountered your channel in 2017.at the time I was fresh outta high school.i was going thru hard times mentally .i grew up being a car guy and your videos helped me a lot .i still remember when you had a small garage working on your pink sc .can’t wait to see what you do with it
Thanks for this vid Evan, I really needed that talk you gave at the near the end of the video, I also have ocd and anxiety and also am a car enthusiast and I've been on the edge of debating if I want to do a channel and the same exact thoughts that you explained that it isn't our job or to not worry about other people is the push I needed to move forward with starting it. First needa get my ocd and anxiety in check, and then decide on a car that'll start the channel...Car parts be expensive lol

Its insane to think how much time has passed and how we've all grown over the years. I've been subscribed to you for many years and I can remember laying on my bed at 9 years old watching your videos with the biggest smile on my face. Its your videos that really got me interested into cars and made me the car guy I am now. I'm now 18, recently picked up my own car and still love watching your videos the second they come out.
