Excellent way to show how panel beating should be done. It’s an art which is dying due to overuse of filler/bondo. I always admire a craftsman like you. Keep up the good work mate.

Hi Ive noticed the clear coat on the area worked on isn't as reflective as on the rest of the vehicle. Does the clear get its shine from the detail shop? From buffing/ wet sanding? Super smooth repair!
Yep some of the cars I work on from dealer gets finished at detail shop. I only have to do the body & paint for them.

I just got my spot dent puller today. Having problems with it. Like the the puller you use in this video. It will not stick to the panel for me to the dent or any other of the attachments. It will arc look like it sticks but I can pull it up slightly and it just comes off. I work on classic car which is thicker metal. Wondering if you can shed some light on my problem. thinking the unit is bad. Car I was working on was a 1964 Ranchero. Have you tried this unit on a older cars?
I have had the same thing happen before always bad ground. Maybe try grounding closer to work. This thing needs super clean tips all the time to work good. It should pull the Ranchero metal fine. If cleaning won't work you must have a bad unit!!! 🤔

The suction cup you used what was the name for it? I liked it and googling for it. To buy it.
Think it was Snapon had it since back in the 80's Lol ..But any good suction cup should do the job!!!
@@JL.FortneyProductions I love your channel. My dad did body work like the old days. My dad learned in the 70's on a door a big dent. How he learned to fix it he shrunk it with a socket and hammer. Do you know what I am talking about? If so can you please show us how to do it?
@@justinduncan3967 Not sure but maybe from the back side with a big socket and a pick hammer on front of the dent may work to shrunk metal?

Maybe it was just closer.. I was only roughing it in and it was end of the day at that time?

Hi I have just bought a pro spot welder. What are carbon rods used for. Thanks look forward to more videos.
Carbon rods used for sinking a high spot when metal is stretched. Maybe I can use one in a video soon. Thanks for watching!!!
The carbon rods are used on metal thats been stretched, TO SHRINK IT, 1st bring All the metal UP, higher than the surface, then set the machine, then take the carbon rod and either DRAG IT, around in a circle going inward until u get to the center of the strech, or LINES, about 1/2" apart, it works really well, and it is fast, that carbon rod will glow red hot, if u use it on metal that hasn't been raised above the surface it will actually sink the metal DEEPER !! 😆😆
Did you have any problems with the g90e at first I just got one but it's not welding to the panel
Been working good ..Sometimes you may have to crank up the power but not bad for the $$$

What setting do u use on your g90. I just got one, mine does not stick very well. I have it set to high.
Yep sometimes that happens its likely not a good ground if not sticking well to the metal. Make sure you ground to the same panel your pulling. Keep the tip sharp and clean. I use a small die grinder. I also use high setting a lot for heavy pulls. Must have a very good ground to work. Try this see how that works for ya!!!
@@JL.FortneyProductions I see that you have a Dent Puller similar to youtuber Trevor Hatton in the UK. I purchased the same unit, but like your other viewer, the , Negative Ground tap will NOT Attach to a freshly ground panel despite any power setting I tried.
REALLY FRUSTRATING ! and NOT CHEAP
You have any ideas ?? ( Yes I know, chuck the puller and take the fenders to a REAL BODY SHOP - as my wife says ...) :-)
@@cherr979 You have to keep both tips clean and the panel. I have had that happen on a truck once. If it never has worked for you maybe you have a bad machine. But try lightly grinding the grounding point. I do understand it's very picky about a good ground!!! Hope you get it working!!
Thanks for the reply! Trevor Hatton made the same suggeestion, and also -not to mash down on the negative lead too hard. He suggested a light tough and MAKE the ARC space larger , so the little stinker fuses with the panel. I tried that suggestion and a number of other ideas, but the machine was not playing my game. So I shipped it back to China via Texas warehouse. I used a Horrible Freight Stud Puller which was less than 1/2 th3 price of the other gizmo. Not as nice as the performance of the nachine you have , but it got'er done !!

To the subscribers believe it or not this is a lot of the same things a real Bodyshop does to fix cars. I've been doing this over 17 years and hasn't changed from shop to shop unless you are a AAA Bodyshop would just skin the doors and put new skin metal.
Always try to match the Quality of the bodywork with the car ur working on. Nobody wants to pay top $$$ on a clunker!!!
