Basically, if you want premium time and gold, don't spend any money on the year and wait for the loot boxes. That way, it is true that any tank or style is indeed an "extra" value and you just bought what you wanted at a discount!

I only spend money for those lootboxes. I payed 100€ and got 12 tanks (3 T8), 5 3D styles, 69 days premium, 28000 gold and 4,5 mio credits. Thats a good deal instead of all the other offers over the year.
Exactly. I don't understand QB saying this is gambling if they tell you and guarantee that you'll get the gold equivalent to your money spent have you decided to just buy a year worth premium account gold amount in the premium shop once a year. Of course, if one can afford to have approximately 100 € on one pile. And that is the main reason to buy loot boxes, because everything additional you get (skins, small premiums, credits and big premium tanks) is for free! That's how you should see this, QB.

I normally do the 25 for gold, this year got two of the tier 8s with it.

Even before the lid opens, listen to the tune that plays. Getting a T8 tank or 3D style will have more of a fanfare with horns at the beginning of the music.
I really dislike that wg removed decoration levels,now we get only shards in free boxes,now it will take so much longer ,before i could do it in 2 -3 days
Yes, this. Idk why no one is talking about this. A friend of mine opened 75 boxes and only got to an 11.7% credit boost. Getting to the full +50% credit boost is going to be almost impossible without spending a ton of money on loot boxes 😞

You might have gotten only one M4-85, but remember there was dupe protection. So you're kinda guaranteed to get it quite early unlike what you said about being able to get very unlucky as a collector.
I opened 150 boxes. Did not get the M4-85 :(
Finally the qb spreadsheet analysis!
Decoration drop rates is small crates are too small this year. Along side the other changes it's basically fucked every F2P player out of the Christmas bonuses.
Got 14 small boxes today by completing all today's missions, only 1 decoration from it. And i can't get more even if i would like to spend my time and grind it, cause is there's no missions for it...
I got 200-700 shards per box... So basically you need spend all the shards from the beginning to get just few decorations, wich ond minimum cost 1000 shards... Today i got 5 and reached lvl 2. For completion you need 284 😂 So if will play daily, will do all daily missions, won't get duplicate decorations, I will finish it after 57 days, some time around on Valentines day. Hahahaha
Also bonus to credits i think would be impossible to reach 50% cause no matter what level your atmosphere will be, collection bonus will be very hard to reach cause you need minimum 260 decorations for 4% x atmosphere level, 160 for 2.8%, 20 for 2%, so max 40% if you collect all shards, +10% from large decorations... Anyway, If I'll get by the end of this festive atmosphere in next year to like 38% credits boost, i will be very happy...
So like always, just spend real money, get it form the first day and enjoy your already plentyfull credits balance that you got from buying boxes 🤣 those who try to play free, will get least amount of everything and be bullied by new premium tanks full of gold ammo... Lol

@@AI_admin best way to avoid the urge to go and buy wargamings crp is to find another game that strikes your interest, has actually responsible developers and throw your hard earned money at them. World of tanks is only at a maintenance state anymore, no new content developed in a long time (new tank models don't count, even students can get that bs done.) Even the holiday events are repeats from last years. Why should we bother if wargaming themselves don't bother either... I've never seen such a toxic developer.
The thunder child is in the art deco style. The "blunderbuss" is a Lewis gun. A MG from WW 1 which makes sense as the art deco style was biggest post world war 1.

And don't forget that when placing ornaments, that even duplicates count as +1 point to the level. So if you do buy large boxes, don't immediately scrap all the duplicate ornaments; wait until you've gotten the 1 point for putting a "new" decoration in a slot. No idea if this is a bug or intended.

I'm actively opening 75 boxes while watching this video. 50 boxes in and I get my guaranteed tier 8, being the 122 TM. I said, "Dang, I wish it was the Caliban." Then out of the blue, next box blessed me with the Caliban 😂
I had back to back too. An M-IV-Y, then a Tornvagan. In was in awe, when I realized i was getting another premium!
Took me 190 total boxes to get all the new tanks and styles, but honestly I feel bad dumping $300 for 225 loot boxes. I only could do this cuz of my xmas bonus. Total stats: 225 boxes opened, 38 vehicles, 28 of them turned into gold(1 was an extra torvagn), 6 styles, 160 D Premium, 111,350 gold, 10,900,000 Credits, 225 Decos. Fyi, buying $300 worth of gold is only 75k gold. So technically buying boxes > buying creds/gold/prem days separately.

On the ST-II skin, those devices at the sides are actually support pads. I would assume since it has rockets on top the pads are put down to compensate with recoil. Simalar pads can be found on backhoes when they have to dig with th rear scoop, too. Either that or something that swings forward to clear mines, though I doubt that.
And the "lawnmower" is a 120-PM-43 or a 120-PM-48 mortar
rockets dont really have recoil though, do they? more so just blowback/blastback

I have to admit i find the guaranteed t8 tank a very fair and even smart moove from WG. Fair for us and smart for selling more: 1, selling more for people less "risky" 2, selling more cause we could think after the opening "oh well with just 10/20 boxes more i can have a tank guaranteed"
The guaranteed t8 tank would be much better if there was option to buy 50 boxes. Going from 25 straight to 75 is weird, there should be some mid-tier amount of boxes. 50? 45? 40? 55?

I bought 75 and got one for the 50th (M-IV-Y) and one for 53rd (Skoda). You are correct, if there were no guarantted tanks, I would most probably get nothing or max. 1)

Personally I love the loot boxes, I get all my premium time and gold for the entire year. Also I got all 3D styles and a tier 8 in the first 35 boxes so not bad luck at all.

Its what H G Wells called the warship in the War of the Worlds book.
They actually reference it in the skin description.

So far I have bought 50 boxes day one. Within the first 25 I got the Caliban and the Tornvagn. I have all 5 low tier tanks, 34 premium days, 16,750 gold, and 1.6 mill credits. I only have the FV 4005 style, honestly the best one, and a guarantied tier 8 in 20 boxes. $80 spent and its always less in the end then buying gold/premium days at the regular price. The tracker they added in the boxes menu is a real help.

Dont worry i had worst luck, i got 1 tier 8 prem tank, 46days prem, 30k gold, 0 3d style
So I bought the 75 boxes and I was extremely underwhelmed until about 40 boxes left and then I got 3 tier 8 premiums within just a few boxes of each other. Crazy. Then one more tier 8 with less than 10 boxes left. Not bad. So not tempted to buy more boxes just to get that next tier 8. Im pleased, though I wanted the Caliban, and that wasn't among the 4 tier 8's I got. Odd no crew with any of the tanks? I guess I missed that detail in QBs video. I got only one of the older 3D skin as well.
Why would some1 want one of the worst T8 Prem's in existence of this game - yes, I am talking about the Caliban - esp. cause of the HE changes ... not just my opinion, more like the general opinion of any1 that knows/understands the game decently enough. Wouldn't give a flying about this one tbh.

I purchased 11 boxes, got the Tornvagn in the 10:th. I really like this tank, with gun rammer, turbo and vertical stabiliser, it´s really good!
The decoration levels which were removed by WG and replaced by collecting and using crystals was HUGE mistake by WG, I really am not hyped this year, last year was much better!
I aggre with you that it´s just a stupid idea, however,
it wasn´t a mistake from their point of view. They have just made it harder to reach the highest level of atmosphere, therefore, making it less bearable for some players, which can possibly result in more people spending money.
If they were really concerned about players who were complaining about not being able to use lower levels of decorations, they would just add a feature that once you reach any level of atmospehere, you can´t lose it nonetheless.

There is also a little tab that tallies all your boxes throughout the Christmas season in the top left of the box opening interface. So you could have saved yourself the spreadsheet, but it’s always good to keep WG accountable and do your own calculations. Good video as always! Keep it up and enjoy the Christmas Season QB

@@nomore3115 I was lucky 4 VIII tanks from first 30 boxes and then 4 from another 100
in wot blitz, crates/lootboxes is one of the main way that people try to get tanks, in fact, it's the most popular. wg is clear with all the drop chances from the start and even gives you charms that will guarantee the vehicle after a number of crates, 25 is the norm. Crates are mostly for specific tanks, others that contain multiple tanks generally don't have charms, but maybe gold charms.
The only thing I am missing this year is the mix box offers, where you could buy a number of each kind in one bundle. I know, gold, premium days and vehicle standpoint they don't matter, but it is more satisfying for me to open different kind of boxes and helps to collect the sets
I bought 75 boxes, got the Yo Tank, the Caliban, Thorntank, CZ Hvy and Chinese Med + all the small prem tanks I think, 3 x 3-D Styles including the Thunderchild ;), for which I had 2 Tanks. I have the impression they offered fewer prem days this year, "only" got 36. Overall quite satisfied.
I got the CZ and Chinese before I got the new ones because I did not have them yet?

I kinda have the disgusting feeling that those boxes are rigged, and if you buy a low amount, like 3 or 11, they will give you a tank just to make you spend more, thinking that you'll have even better luck with the 75 boxes package.
Same thing for me, as I remember spending $19.99 US on NA and the T-56 was there, I also picked up a T-34S which I think came from those boxes.

This time around they screwed up something fierce, a lot of people are having issues with the guaranteed non duplicate ornament in the boxes.
On top of that the requirement for level 10 atmosphere is just too much, the crafting is made for the old system but stayed the same...
So unless you shell out money for 150+ boxes you will not get level 10 in december.
For me atleast they ruined the happy feeling of this event since most will not be able to benefit from the bonuses, so i won't waste my time or money this time around.
I got 150 boxes, barely above level 8. It's wild how difficult they made attaining level 10

Results: 75 boxes : 61 days of premium, 6.5mil credits, 28k gold, 8 Prem tanks (4 t8's....) being the skoda 57, 122tm, tornvagen and the M-IV-Y..... (and 4 of the skins)... thats kinda lucky isn't it?
not really, stuff is dropping really commonly this year, got every low tier tank and 3 T8s in my 75. last year it was somewhat common to get no T8 in a 75 opening. kinda sucks for prem time though, would have gotten 3X that a few years ago.

One way to know if you get tier 8 prem tank or 3d styles is the blue color when the boxes is opened. That's what I have been noticed.
Did my usual purchase amount I do every x-mas. I bought the 75 box package and ended up getting the 3 new tier 8s(had the others), all the low tier prems, all 6 new styles, and about 120 days prem time, 5mil credits and 50k gold. I'm satisfied as always, totally got way more than the $99 dollars in value I spent

I got a similar result. Bought 75 boxes, got all low tier new premiums with first 50, then the first new T8, then remaining two new T8s within remaining 25 boxes. Did not get so lucky with styles, though - only got one, for Object 268-4.

Once you have all of the Tier 8 premiums, you are essentially guaranteed to get at least another 200 gold per box! (10,000 / 50 boxes). Good way to build up the gold if you have plans for it - Black Market for example.
Please don't buy the crates just by watching quickybabys luck, i am very sure there might be something rigged behind the scenes by wargaming for qbs account, i am not blaming qb, just saying that this can be easily done behind his back just for the advertisement.
I think the AE Phase 1 should get a similar mechanic to the M4Y. It has 4 sets of tracks, but just laid out in a different configuration

The Tornvagn really doesn't feel uncounterable when you're in the Caliban. I was eating Tornvagns up in the Caliban.
They've changed the drop chances. In the past two years, I managed to get all the teir 8 premium tanks in 75 boxes... This year, I only managed to get them when they where guarantied drops.
I feel quite lucky after watching this video. As every year we bought 25 boxes with my friend as Christmas gifts to each other and after that I ended up buying 25 boxes more for myself. In the end, I got all the T8 tanks except Caliban (I haven't had any of them before) and 268-4, sheridan and FV4005 skins out of these 50 boxes xD
You can see in the top left corner the stats of what you got out of all the bokses
And when the shine out of the bokses is blue you get something special
That lawnmower thing on st2 skin is actually the vagon or the thing to carry the mortar. Heavy 120mm mortars use that kind of thing.
the only time i really spent money was during the loot boxes, cause i get lots of goodies, and ive gotten lucky enough in previous years to get tier 8 tanks. this time around i ended upnspending more than i would like to admit, but im quite happy with what i got and ive got even more gold now to last me till next year

10 Boxes in and I was suprised to get the 122-tm. First time ever buying boxes too.
It is the first time I open these christmas boxes, I went for 75 and gotta say Im absolutely satisfied, I got 2 styles (vz 56 and sheridan) , most if not all low tier prems, 4/5 t8 premium tanks, only missing the tornvagn, 25k gold and around 4-5 million credits

I got alot of doubles of the 122TM so I ended up with something like 240,000 gold. Seems a bit easier than last year to get the premiums and the garage slot tanks were very common.
Only got the 35R and the M15 and seeing the chances you had, probably better if you wait until it comes out the regular way!
