Captain America VFX Tutorial! Blender 3.1

- After popular request, I have created a tutorial for the Captain America shield throw effect. This is the first tutorial I've ever made, but I hope it helps to demonstrate my blender VFX pipeline. This video is less targeted towards beginners, but experienced users should be able to follow this fairly easily. One thing I forgot to really show in the video is that for the lighting I took a photo sphere of my backyard and used it in the world shader editor.

If you object track the hand it would be much easier
Thats probably true. In the future, for special effects shots involving a CG object following a limb I probably would use object tracking for precision. In this video in particular I was trying for a more "quick and dirty" approach, and at the time I had never been able to make a blender object track work correctly, probably due to a lack of skill😅 but you're right it could save a lot of time

In the future you might want to drop a shadow with a shadow-only plane, add some perlin noise and a dynamic subsurf, etc.
Also most of my CGI videos end with everything getting destroyed xD
