    And just because something is old, doesn't make it bad. I checked out your channel and found that you have some old planes on there as well, some of which are MD-83s and MD-80s which have almost IDENTICAL cockpits! The DC-9 is a great plane and I will stand by it no matter what!

    Well, yes the safety record isn't very desirable but I had the opportunity to sit inside an old AirTran DC-9-32 just recently and may I just say that it has the coolest cockpit on the planet! It is designed with humans in mind, everything is in a good position, they prioritize the instruments and controls so that what is most important is down in front and center and what isn't as important is placed equally in reach of the pilots but out of the way.

    Are any of you familiar with the Gulfstream Exec Jets (possibly G3's or G4's) that were used to carry high ranking military or diplomatic officials during the late 80's and early 90's. Painted in the standard USAF light and dark blues, I'm looking for a particular jet that would have been on the ground at Ramstein AFB, GE. esp. in 1991 or 1992. I would be taking a wild guess at the tail number but I think it was something like N65000 or there abouts. I'm nearly certain that the "N" number ended in 000. I would be amazed to see a picture of this jet again.... hope someone could help. Thanks

      "Airforce 2" can be ANY airplane in the US Airforce as long as the vice president is onboard, without the president. If the vice president is going somewhere requiring the large VC-25A (747) without the president, then even that aircraft is referred to as Airforce 2. (And yes, Im sure you were already aware of this but I posted it for others who may read this comment thread) 🙂

    🤣🤣🤣
    What's next? 21 gun salutes for used toilet paper?
    No wonder America is dying.
    Wasting time and money on ceremonies for inanimate objects.
    And that is just the tip of the iceberg on American waste.

      @@braylenfab6523 Wow - you are not too bright. Telling someone you have never met 'they will never understand' is so staggeringly inept...I don't know where to begin.
      And hey Bozo - I was admitting how much planes DO mean to some people. DUH. Can't you read? I know how much moronic pilots get all weak-kneed about shit like this. And they are ALL babies, really young or flat our stupid.
      And I will say it again. Giving a retirement ceremony to an inanimate object? Especially one that never even saw combat - is the height of nonsense. And anyone who went to this event - and were not forced to - is either stupid and/or mentally juvenile.
      Jeez...if it was the last DC-9 ever...okay. But this is all for just one fucking plane.
      All the misery and death and starvation in the world. Even back then? And these bozos are wasting time and money on this silliness?

      @@McRocket Well I don’t see where u say u know how much they mean, u actually make pilots look like fools. Listen here, aircraft like this are what have given people a purpose for me, this airplane was my first plane ride and has since given me a passion that quite frankly has kept me on this earth. It’s more than just a piece of aluminum with wings. But I get it, you don’t have that kind of passion for this all good, have fun at the office tmrw.

    • @McRocket
      @McRocket Před 3 lety +1

      @@braylenfab6523 - I acknowledged the hype exists. That proves that I recognize that people are doing this. And obviously it would be mostly pilots showing up.
      And flying this plane gave you a purpose? What kind of shallow life did you have?
      If the only thing that gives you a purpose in life is flying an inanimate object? You need to seek psychological counselling.
      Your purpose in life should be helping others, improving yourself, learning, your family, your friends, your children, your parents and siblings...not flying a plane. Especially a non-combat plane at that.

    • @braylenfab6523
      @braylenfab6523 Před 3 lety +1

      @@McRocket Well considering I was a three year old being inspired by a high powered aircraft and well put together pilots, I would say it was not a shallow life. Also, don’t assume, I have full intentions of being a naval aviator so in fact I will be helping ppl. Also, being a commercial pilot is a huge help. What u don’t realize is that commercial pilots are responsible for your packages, so the pages in ur Covid book, were on a plane at some point. Additionally, pilots give kids like myself, a way out, a passion, something to live for. Your the shallow one here because you don’t realize just how much to this there rly is. So to answer ur question, yes this exact aircraft type did give me a purpose bc that’s what life is about right? Finding your purpose? Also I may be wrong but I saw something on your page about the 75+ crowd being a burden, how helpful is that, diminishing something someone can’t control like age.
