Please! The unforgettable fire album documentary!!!
War is U2' s most intense album.
It's the music they had to get out of their system or they were going to burst. Of all U2's albums, It's still the one that touches me the deepest.
My favorite My favorite favorite favorite..... it makes jump amd scream... i feel like 14 again..
And the best in my opinion
With ‘War’, U2 finally found their songwriting voice. This was a whole new band and I loved it.
These videos don't have enough views for the quality put into them. Very impressive!
hell yeah
True.
Ditto!

@@shane-irish Thank you for you input, Shane
U2's first three albums were seminal parts of my childhood in the San Fernando Valley. As an adult I was privileged to chill with The Edge, a real hero, and kickback to tell him this and rap about guitars for a good while in 1997. Highlight of my life
I can’t tell you how much I value the work you’ve put into these videos. What a jewel these documentaries are... thank you for helping in sharing the music. Can’t wait to see the rest in the series
I remembered listening to this "new song" on the radio and buying this cassette with my hard-earned newspaper delivery money in 1983. My favorite band in the world!
I do my best to not like them but its difficult when they make music like this
@@billyshears5569 why would you not like them??? They are some of the best musicians ever...
@@ericsurek1964 I like they're music. I find Nobo insufferable though. Hes a sanctimonious little prick. I can't stand the way he lectures ordinary people about climate change and 3rd world poverty even though he's a notorious tax avoider.
I like there old stuff but I wouldn't go to a u2 concert if you paid me
the solo on new years day get me every time.
Beautifully done! Hands down, favourite U2 album. Never knew the full story of “40”. Brilliant!
This album is magnificent....I grew up listening to these early U2 albums...passion, fire and brilliance!!
This doc series is FANTASTIC!👍👍👍👍🙏👏👏👏
The “War” album is a masterpiece, every song on that record is brilliant. It was my absolute favorite , by far, during high school in the 80’s. I was fortunate to see them play during the war tour, in Nagoya Japan 1983. Best live show I have ever seen.
These documentaries are clearly a labour of love! Great stuff and a pleasure to watch. These three documentaries together paint a nice picture of the band's rise to stardom. It struck me to see how 'big' they already were after three albums, knowing that the best was still to come! I hope you are still working on the Unforgettable Fire documentary as I would love to watch that (and subsequent documentaries :-) ) These documentaries deserve much more views for the effort put into them!
That army chant edit in the middle of 'Seconds' is beyond the call and a fantastic marriage of the actual event to the studio track's use of it. All of these U2 album docs are just what the doctor ordered. Brah-vo to honoring this turning point in the band's early career in such elegant fashion.
I was at the Red Rocks show. Barry Fey had cancelled the show but there were about 12 of us already waiting in line, in the rain (and about another 30 people waiting in their cars in the parking lot). This was before cell phones, so we didn't know the show had been cancelled. The Managers took pity on us and let us back stage when it really started to pour. Bono and band came and met us, gave us tea and crumpets, signed autographs. The raw footage of these pre-show moments was recently released, and there we are, my girlfriends and I - soaked like rats, in all our teenage glory getting our tickets stubs signed and chatting up Bono. It was an amazing moment. The next night- the show (in doors) up in Boulder was even better than the Red Rocks show- and the crowd sang "How long to sing this song" for over an hour- all the way to the parking lot and even driving out of the lots- screaming 40 out the windows and down the highway. Having said all of that- I saw them tour for Boy at a 1400 capacity venue called The Rainbow here in Denver- and THAT was one of the best shows of my life.
amazing story, really wish i could’ve seen it.
The finest U2 album. Period. Ever. The soundtrack to my sophomore year of high school and I wore it out cassette and vinyl. Cheers. I used to listen to "New Year's Day" every New Year's Day... Thanks so much for this walk down the lane for us fifty-somethings
I agree with you sir. This album is stunningly good. Side A is the best Side A ever. "Drowning Man" always pulls a tear from my eye.

Favorite U2 documentaries! Hope you will continue the journey. Subscribed and anxiously waiting!
The footage is extraordinary. Simply amazing!
I love U2 ,I'm from the southern part of Georgia and I don't think no one understood U2 music like I did. There sounds and there lyrics touch me in ways the Gods will only understand
I do
Absolutely agree 👍
Man those videos are so good! Every U2 fan should watch them. Thank you for the effort put to make them.
As a newcomer to this channel, I was blown away by the quality of this documentary! You've captured the ideas and history of U2 perfectly!
I'm super excited for the videos on the 90's records.
hope y’all enjoy those...I lost interest in the band when Josh was released and never recovered from the Oct War UF era..
So much emotion..
This is definitely my favorite album
I been following U2 since 1984 and I never seen this documentry before. Thank you for uploading it on CZcams for other U2 fans can see!!
Your videos are so well-made. Please keep up the great work!
So hyped for your takes on things like Zooropa and Pop.
What a great documentary...Boy, october and now War...WELL DONE and THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Waiting for more...
War...in my top 5...the first album i bought after i heard New Year's Day on the radio...fell in love with U2...and still loving this incredible band...Love your great quality docs...hope you will upload more...thanks!😍🎤🎵🎶🎸🥁🔝

Great job! looking forward for the rest of the albums
Wonder! Well done. Loved it. Keep going. More please.
I'm in tears with all of these cherished informations!!! I've always been a u2 listener and remember new year's day for being my first rock song ever listened to! Thank you, thank you, thank you SO MUCH for this video!!!! Lots of love
They make me cry too...snd since 1983 when i was only 11 yrs old! Greetings from Scotland!
It’s albums like this that make me wish people these days would stop hating on this band so much! One of my favorite albums of all time!
Indeed😁👍
Sir; I've viewed all of your documentarys on U2s first three albums. They are A1 great. The Joshua Tree was the first U2 album that I Bought. At the age of 10 ten it electrified me .It still does at age 41.Basicly I've chucked every thing that says U2 into the trolley from that day onwards.Caed ma failte[Welcome]. Please keep on with the reviews.Salutions and celebrations, Johnny.ps I live very close by Bono and The Edge~WHAT A THRILL.
is thir a website of the shalom bible church edge bono and larry went to in 1981
U2 is my favourite band and they will be for life I connect with there music and Bono’s lyrics
Thank you so much for this piece of work. The War album meant so much to me as water at that time in my life. Then I bought Boy and October and my life was changed.
War was U2's Midnight Oil album. It's a far better album than the previous two and far, far better than anything after Achtung Baby. I consider it equal to The Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby, and The Unforgettable Fire.
I think Zooropa was also a gem of an album that came decades too early.
@@V1CT1MIZED A lot of people agree with you about Zooropa, but I'm not one of them. Most of it is boring to me. Lemon is by far my favorite song on Zooropa and one of the best songs U2 ever made. I like Numb, the title song, and Daddy's Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car and the rest just is too bland for me. But I'm an atypical case. I also find most of Boy, October, ATYCLB and every album since to be boring and I absolutely love many songs that others dislike: The Refugee, Red Light, Promenade, Elvis Presley and America, Angel of Harlem, The Playboy Mansion...
Can`t wait to see the rest of U2 albums on this beautiful documentaries
Amazing work on all three of these! I can't wait for future ones, please keep going!
My favorite period of U2 is the 80’s from Boy to the Joshua Tree album. No other era of U2 beats the 80’s as Bono said the 80’s were a time of ECSTATIC music and feeling!
I don't love U2, I freaking adore them!!!!! Thank you for loading these documentaries!
This video is awesome. It took me back to when I was a young man listening to this amazing album. My grandparents are Irish and I think this album helped me to understand and relate to the stories they would tell of Ireland.
Amazing. Tremendous documentary. Thanks for the effort. Best regards from Brazil!
Gosh, how we need such amazing documentaries, thanks so much, it's really amazing job. Got so much interesting information about them
These are very good documentaries! Please keep making them!
Unforgettable fire "coming soon!" ITS BEEN A YEAR WTF
For real it’s coming soon this time, I promise!
@@iloveu2431 I'm really looking forward to seeing your Unforgettable Fire documentary! These first three are of incredible quality. Hopefully the Joshua Tree follows shortly after that :)

A tour de force series. Enjoyed every minute. Really good story telling, and well done on finding all that archive footage! These videos will form an important record of U2 and their music forever thanks to you and the power of the World Wide Web.
This is so well done, loved it!
The War album is when I got into U2. I loved that album, especially Like A Song ...
Ditto, mate!
OH yes. A great raw furious song. They had the energy.
Great job!! I love this mini documentaries!!!!
My first of many U2 albums. Still my favorite band!
Very nicely done! This was one of the best piece by piece explanation of War that I have ever seen.
Absolutely love your videos. Sensational work. Please keep it up. Subscribed and eagerly away next installment.
Great job with these docs. They take me back.
I would love to see more of those videos! Really great work
Under a blood red sky was the first U2 album for me to buy an for most New Years Eve, New Years Day is one of the first songs I play. It was the first one to start this bizzare Century. I still have the amazing Concert on DVD
💯❤️☘️💚👍🏻 Incredible information in this video! Thank you!!
Awesome series you have going on. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for that! Really informative and insightful.
Absolutely love this series man. :) Can't wait for The Unforgettable Fire video.
I enjoyed this. I hope you continue these documentaries.
This brought my love for u2 to another level. Loved it
Loved this video. Such a pivotal album for the band. I hope you plan to finish the series 🫵🏼✌🏻 🙏
Awesome... I don't think there are betters documentaries about U2 than yours; thank you
Great documentary. I really enjoyed it. I love U 2! 💗😊🙏🎵
When is the unforgettable fire album documentary is going to be
U2 did one themself on that record...if done, it will be the last one I watch as I dropped them when JT came out...
@@cbennett196631 that's funny...i dropped them after JT came out, because I couldn't handle the sharp left turn to Achtung Baby/Pop/Zooropa. I came to regret that later on, though. That was one of their most creative eras.
@@goudagirl6095 Boy October war unforgettable fire the Joshua tree achtung zooropa and all that you can’t Leave Behind are All masterpieces IMO

@@cbennett196631 true.
Great content - thanks for making this.
Bravo. Well done rockumentary. War and UaBRS were the soundtrack of my college years. Who could have imagined what was ahead with UF and JT... well I guess U2 imagined.
This is BBC quality, if you guys understand what I mean. Awesome job. There is nothing better out there. Way to go!
Can't wait for the next videos!
Great Record..one of my favorites, right up there with Led Zep 4
Amazingly good content! You have some real talent for this. “War” is a great record for the energy!
Thanks for making this!
I LOVED that this album featured both horns and violin, as both really added a fullness and depth to the songs they were used on. Kind of wish they'd have used more orchestration in their subsequent albums, although that doesn't always transfer when doing live shows. :-(
I love these videos!
You do an unbelievable job, I would love to see you do more albums! Achtung Baby and Zooropa! 😄
Love your channel!
Great mini documentaries! Thank you! Please continue with the Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree, et al.
Fantastic video. Can't wait for the unforgettable fire and the joshua tree
love these documentaries...love U2
War = A Complete Masterpiece.
This was great!
“Bono plays guitar, right?”
“He WEARS guitar...” I’m dying here. 😂
Love your work!!
War is a monster of an album.... it's Rock music with a Pop-core, imo., or Pop sensibilities.
U2 has always been my favorite band and I decided to become an audio engineer and videographer.
thanks to "I Love U2" for putting out these gems! really good work! I wonder how the film clips were obtained? I haven't seen many of these!
Fantastic doc, thanks!
Man what I wouldn’t give to have you make more of these haha
Please do more!!!!
Great Job!
wow i had my suspissions back in 1987(when this album came into my life) that someone other than bono sung on seconds. I was right!!!! thanks for that., War is my altime fav album and its beating a lot of well produced albums in my book... Eno was a god and i just cant imagine what the album would have been if he produced it. So glad it worked out the way it did. Albums i find comparable.. Janes Addiction NS and Ritual.. BTS perfect from now on(complete album is so underated) Radiohead in rainbows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.. bends ok computer... and lonsome crowded west - MM
These are amazing you should definitely do some of the other albums
oh no!! dont tell me it stops here?????? nooooo!!! this is great stuff
I'm also convinced that relentless touring to make up for October's relative failure raised their playing abilities considerably. They worked non stop.
to me War is a Pop record in Rock clothing, and I love it!
Excellent documentary
This is the real shit! I'm loving it. Thanks❤
These are fantastic!!! I noticed the last one you made was a year ago!!! I’m going to need you to sit down with your computer and make a documentary for the rest of their albums. Yes, I have decided this is a must. So it written, so shall it be done... PLEASE!! 😉😃😉😃😉😃
Ci hannoaccompagnato per tutta la vita, siamo tutti cresciuti con loro. I Love U2
looking forwards to the unfogetable fire one, hope all is well
