    I dont think people care about your sexuality. I think people are curious if you 2 are actually a couple because you have marketed yourselves as a "couple" and people want to know if its friendship couple goals or relationship couple goals, because you would be such a cute relationship couple but you don't REALLY present as that. I also, think people hope for that because you are both so cute together and are genuinely curious about your real relationship status together. IMO

      This! Like I’ve been watching Brad for a while and from what I gathered appeared to be a gay man, which is absolutely fine. Then all of a sudden, he’s “with” or “dating” or is “couples with” a girl and I’m so confused. There’s no hate towards Brad, I’m not telling him how he should identify, but it is quite confusing. Over on insta especially I’m over there trying to gain clarity and getting even more confused. People are saying “Brad is 100% gay, he’s never identified otherwise” then some are saying “Brad is bisexual, he’s said that before” and with the whole “oh yeah straightener, all you have to do is turn it on and it makes any guy straight” confused me because it’s like okay so this whole thing is for a straightener he’s releasing, makes sense he’s a hairdresser he has hair products already released, then some people are saying “no, he’s not releasing a straightener, this is his way of saying they’re a couple” “he’s seen everyone thinks he’s straight now, so now he’s making fun of everyone who thinks that with this” “go watch his podcast it says everything” and I’m like I have no idea what’s going on. It doesn’t help that I’m autistic too, so like this “straightener thing” going on could very well be real, or fake and their so called relationship could be real or fake but I’m not taking in the social cues and have no idea how to interpret it. For me, it is coming from a place of confusion rather than it is to identify his sexuality, be angry at him, want him straight want him gay.

      I saw a Facebook video yesterday where a openly gay man was engaged to a woman. He said he'd never felt any sexual attraction to women before he met her. He fell in love with her as a person, enjoys the bedroom action but could never imagine doing it with another woman than her. She is his best friend and the love of his life. Engaged to be married. He said he's a gay man who just happened to meet the one who also happened to be a woman.
      Sometimes we can't control who we fall in love with so what if it's someone of the same gender or opposite gender. Should that man be denied that kind of love because he identifies as gay and she's a woman? I say no.

Which sucks 😤 I thought the LGBQT+ community was super to be all inclusive and excepting but seem like the bi community are always judged because they ain't lesbian or gay enough. I personally think bi people have the best of both worlds, twice the amount of people who could be the one ❤

I also prefer labels as 'gay' or 'queer' over bisexual because it doesn't feel right for me when being attracted to real life men is a rarity (attracted to fictional men being different). You can label yourself however you like but it doesn't change what you are.

      If you came out as gay years earlier and now you're suddenly not, it feels disingenuous and makes people less likely to trust anything you say, this new revelation included. Or like when everyone thought you had a twin brother. Or the time you switched out the mannequin head with the box dye. Makes you seem like a liar and gives pause to the fans who may have seen you as a gay icon, as well. This is giving beard vibes instead of pan/bi vibes... really don't think it has anything to do with females thinking they have a chance with Brad Mondo now or jealousy or ignorance. It's literally just a confusing statement to come out with and it feels even more questionable because there's no romantic chemistry or exciting banter that makes you think these two are anything more than just friends. I've seen him have more chemistry with random guests that have come on for a makeover. That being said, it's no one's business and if you want to go be with a chick, go for it. BUT don't act shocked when people are like... wtf is he talking about, didn't he say he was gay? It makes it feel like a marketing tool to get people to listen to the podcast. That's all.

      @@marilyn1660 I haven’t finished the video yet, but what exactly makes you think that people can’t change their attraction? I mean people say they like pineapples one day and wind up saying they hate them two years later. People change, people evolve, and people experiment to see what they do and don’t like. It’s human nature 🤷🏼‍♀️
      It may feel disingenuous to you, but I think the majority of real fans don’t share that same feeling. It’s not lying, it’s evolving, and even if it was/is a marketing ploy, majority of fans know him well enough from his videos to realize that it would all entirely be a joking manner. While, yes, many have been/were skeptical of that, it doesn’t mean we didn’t trust him because of that. Companies do marketing ploys all the time for the sake of bringing attention to their brand. That’s basically what sponsorships are. If that is/was what it was, it’s creative and it’s smart. It got people talking, which is what the point of marketing ploys is, and it was different.
      I think some of it does amount to females with attraction. However, I think most of it is the fact that people are interested. It’s like a real life reality show and people are waiting on the edge of their seats for the answers they’re seeking.
      Many people, even in this comments section, will have to disagree with you on the matter of chemistry. Sooooo many people think they have romantic chemistry. While I don’t really agree, I haven’t fully watched most of the videos including Sophia.
      I think this whole thing was a good idea, even if it’s a marketing tool. Maybe it’ll help people realize that it’s not lying to say your gay years before and then say that you have a girlfriend because sexuality is not different from liking or disliking pineapples. It’s a game of experimentation and what feels right then. 3 years ago what felt right to him was coming out as gay and maybe now what feels right is to be with her.
      I honestly hate labeling in the LGBTQIA+ community for reasons such as this. They can be good, but people who don’t see it this way and see it as lying and deception when you change your label or experiment with another ultimately get confused. Plus, it’s never sure that even that person knows their label, so I really think everyone should just go with queer, but then you also run into the issue that Brad discussed of not knowing exactly what queer May mean for that person so idk, I just hope he’s happy 🤷🏼‍♀️

Perhaps some people wonder if there is manipualtion (of followers/fans) involved. Bisexuality is an attraction that is inclusive of anyone regardless of sex or gender, and you dont have to actively seek out/sleep with/be in a relationship with certain genders in order to "qualify"/identify as bisexual; as long as there is an attraction, that's all you need. A bi man that never ends up sleeping/being in a relationship with a woman is still a bi man, just like a bi man who never ends up sleeping/being in a relationship with a man is still a bi man, just like a bi man who ends up never sleeping/being in a relationship with anybody is still a bi man. Bisexuality is a spectrum. It doesn't have to be (and for most people, isn't) a 50/50 split; it can be 60/40 or 75/25 or 90/10, and it can even be fluid at different points in someone's life. Because, again, bisexuality is a spectrum.
    *!* This isn't necessarily to say that _Brad_ is bisexual, because his sexuality and experiences are his own to define/label (or to not define/label), but moreso for those that seem to forget that bisexuality even exists in the first place, or have a blantant misunderstanding of what bisexuality even is.

    • @strangeduckling
      @strangeduckling Před 3 měsíci +13

      Also, just to clarify:
      Bisexuality is, and always has been, inclusive of anyone regardless of sex or gender. Bisexuality has always been inclusive of trans and nonbinary lovers.
      The "bi" in bisexual does NOT mean "man and woman," nor does it mean "two or more"; the "bi" stands for 1.) homo ("same as"), and 2.) hetero ("different from"), meaning bisexual people experience both homosexual and heterosexual attraction. Since every single person on the planet falls into this category ("same or different sex/gender as me"), bisexual people thus have the capacity to be attracted to anyone, regardless of gender.

You seem slightly confused between sexual and romantic attraction. If you are attracted to men (or women) but don't get sexually aroused unless you create some form of emotional connection first, you are demisexual. Oprah had an episode where they discussed sexuality. Made a lot of sense. Sexuality is a scale from 1 to 5. 1 is 100% straight, and 5 is 100% gay. 95%of people fall between 2 and 4. I think anyone gets to love who they want to love as long as it is concentual and non-manipulative.

    Brad, I don’t care what your sexuality is. However, I think, like Sophia, I’m more confused on your situation ship than when I came into this video.
    Watching this video, for me, was simply out of curiosity of what this relationship is. It wasn’t about if your straight, gay, or bi, like you said it’s not my business and labels are kinda dumb sometimes anyway. I was more just curious on the relationship status here, if that makes sense.

    • @lindasamba4816
      @lindasamba4816 Před 3 měsíci +4

      Making this relationship a topic of discussion then being upset that people are talking about doesn't seem crazy to you? • @Beautybyjazzy
      @Beautybyjazzy Před 2 měsíci

      @@lindasamba4816 please, don’t twist my words. What I said was his label was none of our business. I was not referring to the relationship itself when I said that. I think either they don’t even know what the relationship is or it’s a marketing thing or it’s to keep him relevant. Personally, I do think it’s a bit odd, but there is a reason behind it, they’re just not sharing it yet (or maybe never).
      My comment was referring more to his label as a member of the LQBTQIA+ community, not to the label of their relationship. I suppose I should correct myself, the last paragraph was more towards his label. Even though I agree this is odd, it is still none of our business. You can talk about something vaguely on the internet and the rest still be no one else’s business. It’s not affecting our lives in the slightest not knowing or knowing about his label as a part of the community or their relationship status. That’s just my opinion on it all though. You don’t have to share it or like or even read it. I just stated my thoughts.

We loved watching you together and so watching alone now was a bit painful but then you always cheer me up. So I have only recently started watching again and your last video that you had a girlfriend had me so confused, because I recalled a prior video with your brother where you clearly said you were gay. I had to scroll and scroll the comments, which frustrated me so much because people were accusing you of a money grab. In the end it doesn't matter, but it does also cause your persona is tied to who and how you think of yourself. Loved you before, love you now and even if you are gay, straight, bi, pink, purple, blue, blonde, whatever, I just don't want to be like "He said what now?"

    40:29 This is exactly how I feel. All of these labels exist to help people understand themselves and identify to others. How you identify is unique to you and no one else has ownership over that. I was a little curious after you posted the video where you did your girlfriend's hair, but I just kinda shrugged it off cuz it's actually none of my business. I'm not really into podcasts and only came to watch this because you posted it on your main channel so I figured you were ready to share. I respect how you identify ❤
    I will say, to clarify asexuality, it *can* mean someone who doesn't desire sex at all but it can also include people who experience sexual desires only in specific circumstances. That's why asexuality is referred to as more of a spectrum. Hope that helps!

    Intersex is a little bit more complex and I know that you two were probably trying to simplify it. You can be born presenting female , have a V and develop breasts , and you could have underdeveloped and undescended testes .
    A woman could be brown with a very enlarged C ( not using full terms so no one gets o trouble with YT) , but it looks like a small 🍆. When you look at chromosomes and hormone levels you can't determine if the persons sex .
    It used to be common that parents determined their child's gender and the child would have surgeries that would match their "sex and "gender", only for the person to identify as the opposite gender. The surgeries often leave intersex person with sexual disfunction and loss of sensation , if not total loss of sexual sensation .

    If you want to understand asexuality (I’m sex-repulsed asexual but also hetero and demiromantic), go follow Ace Dad Advice, Lynn Saga and Spacey Aces. Note that asexuality and aromanticism are not the same. You can be either or you can be both. I’m on both spectra, as I said. Also note that sexual attraction is not the same as sex drive or libido. Most asexuals do have sex, for various reasons.

    The way Brad looked at her in the end was so dreamy. ❤️

    Brad and Sophia, I ❤️ Watchung you two. You are so entertaining. Furthermore, it is nobody's business what your sexual orientation is. If people want to know, it is probably so they can stir the pot and spread gossip. Keep being you and live your extra life...both of you.

    I love you both so much! No one owns your sexuality, and it's great that you both know you can be exactly who you are and enjoy your attraction to who ever you like, and that it evolves over time.

    Brad you’re just an amazing human being. Never stop being yourself, whatever the label may be. I get that people are confused about the situation (myself included) because you portrayed a different image before but it doesn’t mean this cannot be part of the whole picture ♥️

    I think it’s hard for Brad to put a label, because he’s mostly been sexually attracted to men (and it also seems like he’s not had any sexual experience with women, he said he COULD sleep with one, not that he HAD), but he is sexually attracted to Sophia so he is confused. And she is confused because he’s always been attracted to men and she is not a man. (And she also seems pretty inexperienced sexually.) When I see them I see two ppl feeling butterflies and stuff but still being shy about taking it further. Like a couple of teenagers. So cute! My advice: just do it! It’s just sex! No big deal! If you don’t click you don’t click. You seem to be good enough friends to still remain so. All this just seems like the worlds longest foreplay… 🤔😜
    I’m definitely one of those women who can start to sexually fantasize about a guy I see whom I find attractive, most definitely! But to be totally honest, it’s happened plenty more in the last 10 years since my husband and I opened our relationship. Now it’s “fair game” to sleep with whom ever we choose. 🙈😉 I think women might need that “permission” to do that, fantasize I mean.
