I agree a lot with Sofia's take on guys and setting standards. If you're not their priority, they're not worth it. Back in my dating days, I dated to marry, not to hook up and sleep with someone. If a guy ever asked me out on a second, they better not be asking anyone else out on a first date. If they are truly the one for you, they will do all the things and be patient with you with other things. Do not feel like you need to sleep with a guy so that they'll like you. Girls, please value yourself and your body, set high standards!

I currently have a broken ankle from slipping off the back steps (only 2) wearing work boots. I have trouble getting around the house, so definitely wouldn't want to be going out. The last thing I would expect is for my friends to change their lifestyle to fit with me. It's only two months, let them have their fun without you.

You don’t have to pay child support unless one of them takes the other to court. For example, I have a family member whose ex does not require him to pay child support but he pays her money the best he can on his own. They do go by income in court which is not always fair because there are men in pro sports who are paying ridiculous amounts of child support to the point where really the women aren’t even having to work or do anything. They are living their best life off of child support.
im with sophi on this one, when you want it or they in this case want it bad enough it won't matter if the timing is good or not, they will go for it regardless , it is a now or never sort of thing and when someone wants it bad enough they will go for it bad timing or not. It will work WHEN it is the right one and it won't matter if things in your life are right or not. Im also with her that its a no go when the guy who claims his interest for you and he is dating others on the side, yeah for me that is a deal breaker right there. Im not into competing for love. It happens or it doesn't happen when it comes to love but the moment he be dating here and there casually, it is bye bye and i don't care what the situation is and how high i felt around him, it is a bye bye without any good in it, no good bye, but bye bye. That one in a million just became a dime in a dozen when he is dating around with others while with me. One in a million would mean im that to him as well and nothing will break that one in a million bonding. IF time ran out on ya and you crave having a child and biological time clock is about to strike midnight , then yeah i understand settling at that point and worried about finances and need that companion to help carry the burden but be ready to numb your soul a bit for just in case all those undesired things happen in your relationship with him.

I am not one to be in contact with my exes, but if i see them or bump into them when I am with someone (like now) I sure as hell share that info with my partner. He also loves that I do and is appreciative of that. He also has done the same. Now, there may be a time he didn't share something but who can control what you can't see? Ugh...waste of time to worry about that noise.

Hummm. so my 20s are a distant memory, and I managed to break both my feet when we moved house a few years back ... yeah, turns out stupidity is not age dependent 😂 . I'm a girl gamer in my spare time and a full-time engineer- my husband introduced me to the wonder that is PC gaming shortly after we started dating, and now I'm hooked. My current addiction is Helldivers 2. Re. your partner still being on talking terms with their ex, what if they share children? Plus, their ex might become your new best mate (crazy as it seems it happens)
In my personal opinion, I think the laws should be updated where mothers are given primary and sole custody responsibility and rights of their children and their bodies. Shared custody should be something that both parties are mutually able to agree to and want. Currently, we have a significant problem surrounding an issue were women and children are being neglected and abused in multiple different ways, including post separation abuse. In my opinion, making it where shared custody is something that the parties have to be mutually be on board with would significantly decrease neglect, abuse, high conflict, post, separation abuse, child support issues, etc. This would also open up the ability for men to choose to not be responsible for a child that they don’t want. The issue in family court is women are completely okay with terminating father’s rights and responsibilities, but the family court system is not OK with it. To be quite honest, the family court system makes huge mistakes in deciding what is in the best interest of children, and typically what occurs is the abusive, neglectful, etc. parent is put above the best interest of the child. Sadly, I know this from experience. If I had the ability to choose I would have decided to not coparent (due to DV, post separation abuse, etc.) and took on the full responsibility on my own with having full rights. I probably also would not have a trauma-based mental health diagnosis either because I would not have had to been forced to experience more abuse by him and it is still currently ongoing because post separation abuse is something that is a significant issue.

As far as the paternity test goes I get it, but at the same time it's not necessarily for just "proving" it's the father's! It's all about verification of things I get that for security too & trust! Honestly that should be required by law, Gov makes people fill out a bunch of forms for everything when people are born it should be done just like a checklist, has nothing to do with trust. Really it's less about trust but more about bloodline verification. What they should do is on that verification stamp a family seal on there so kids know who they are and not just some random body on the earth. Family seals are important as well with family genes. Just an opinion! 🙃🤷♀️ Yall still BOTH have valid points though.

I honestly have a problem with people that don't want to have kids and "make a mistake" , like as a grown up, you should be more responsible and protect yourself always to avoid bringing children to the world and causing them traumas. I honestly feel there is no mistake in this specific topic. Yet this is my idea.
I honestly hope you will never have the misfortune, to learn how wrong you can be.
