  • So what did I do when faced with a task of raking the leaves in the backyard? Why, take off on a 70-mile 1-night bike tour. For this weekend's destination, I chose the Wildcat Creek campground in the Chattahoochie National Forest area. Great overnight trip, and "Mission Accomplished" on avoiding the leaf raking task at home!

Very nice video. Thank you for putting it together and posting, Paul. I tried taking video of some of my bikepacking trips. It's a lot of work! I'd much rather watch someone else's.

Thanks, @JH! You're right - video does take some extra time to set up shots (especially touring solo) and figure out what one is going to say. There are lots of footage I leave on the cutting room floor when I'm editing. I'm still figuring it all out

My guess is about 25 or so established sites. there's no real designation on sites and where one starts and one ends, other than maybe a picnic table establishing one vs the other. The creek runs through the area in an S shape, and probably about 10-12 are along the creek. Since some are across the creek (you can see the bridge I crossed over) there are about ~8? on the opposite side and are not car-accessible. The others are. It seemed to be first-come-first-serve in regards to setting up. My site was not right on the creek, but I probably could have set up alongside the creek if I spoke with other campers since the sites are large and I don't' take up much room :-)
