Turkish Airlines’ best Business Class product? A350-900 Singapore to Istanbul

  • Hello everyone. The last long-haul flight of our Asia trip took us from Singapore to Istanbul on April 18, 2024. For the flight, we decided to use a mileage ticket with Turkish Airlines. With the Airbus A350-900, Turkish Airlines uses the aircraft with the most modern and, in my opinion, best business class of the company. Business class guests are invited to the Marhaba Lounge at Changi Airport. Although this cannot compete with Singapore Airlines' SilverKris Lounge, it still offers everything you need. Take a look at the cabin product and the implementation in the A350. The food, which comes from Do&Co on Turkish Airlines, was again fabulous and left nothing to be desired. The crew itself also did a very good job, making the flight another great experience. The combination of A350; Do&Co and the friendliness of the crew is a definite recommendation for anyone who would like to fly business class or is thinking about how to use their miles. I hope you enjoy watching the video - if you liked it, leave a like, a comment and subscribe to my channel so you don’t miss the upcoming videos.

Portions look rather small!! I would ask for a second main dish! I hope the chef will say no problem!

Beautiful Trip Report! This won’t be their best product for much longer, because starting next year, they will roll out the revolutionary “Crystal Suites” across Much of their fleet! Those suites will be comparable to Q Suites and will be amazing!

Very good trip report thank you. The seating looked very comfortable and the food, wow. head and shoulders above a BA Club class offering, put that on my to do list.

Like you, I flew the Biz class on the A350, from Istanbul to San Francisco. It's a great hard product. Comfort with delicious catering. We had avocado soup offered, and for desert, a peach ice cream was offered. I am booked next week from Caoe Town to Istanbul on the 787-9. I have been told it is the same seat. Let's hope so. Thanks, your nice video and pleasant music. 👍

Thank you for your positive feedback. Turkish has the same seats in the 787, but they are slightly narrower than in the A350. Then I wish you a nice flight ✈️

I have never worked out why the window is blocked off with the shell but isle is completely open - it looks like the seat is on the wrong side of the aircraft

In this case, you would have to construct four different seats and that is simply too expensive for the airline(s). But there are also airlines that have installed different seats for each place- for example EVA Air in their B787.

I flew TA business 3 weeks ago due to Singapore cancelling my flight out of Istanbul I can tell you that it is nowhere near Best Business Class Airline. Even with the “on board Chef gimmick” they just didn’t cut it. Cabin staff were nowhere to be seen most of the time and when they were they didn’t ask if we would like a drink or snack, where do they see “Best Business Class Airline”? How did they rate it what did they use to formulate this absurdity. I wouldn’t fly Turkish Airlines again, especially in their outdated 1990’s configuration of 2 3 2, if you are seated in the window seat you literally have to jump over the passenger in the aisle seat to go to get to the bathroom. Awful business class.

No pre-departure sparkling wine or champagne is ever offered! Cost cutting.

After all there is a kind of non-alcoholic signature drink before start. I think that's perfectly fine. Some airlines do not even offer a water in business class before take-off.

@@upintheair-travel It's more about the nostalgic experience than alcohol. I've flown a lot of different carriers (domestic USA /abroad) and have always been offered something before gate departure. On another note, I always have a plan B no matter which airline I am flying such as a couple bottles of water and snacks I keep in my carry-on backpack. I've learned over the years to not be dependent on anyone.
